My #2018bestnine in IG! 😍 I realized 2018 was a year of travels for me and I could not be more thankful for all these chances and opportunities. 🙇‍♂️ However my bests in 2018 could not all be captured in a 3x3 grid cause there are more bests not just in travels but moments spent with family and friends as well as accomplishments in work and personal goals. Indeed 2018 has been a great year, the ups outweigh the downs and for that I am truly grateful. I will always kneel and bow down in prayer to a Higher Power, to Him who is the source of all the graces I and my family have been blessed with. And with that I bid 2018 adieu! Thank you and I welcome 2019 with arms wide open, as the best is yet to come. 💜 #2018travels🌏✈️ #TaiWanderful #funJAPAN🇯🇵 #pagudpud #ilocos #vigan #osaka #universalstudiososaka #elnido #elnidoresortsapulitisland #seeyayontan #yayontavels #comewithme #alwaysgrateful🙏 https://www.instagram.com/p/BsD-T-NFzBt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1cn3vvcn6jaqo

Earlier this afternoon we went to see "big" Buddhas in Todaiji Temple located in its main hall-Daibutsuden (Big Buddha Hall; in the background). Daibutsuden is the world's largest wooden building and was built in 752 and reconstructed in 1692. #OSAKAnanamannandunyayon #Narasidetrip #funJAPAN🇯🇵 ##seeyayontan #yayontravels #comewithe (at 東大寺大仏殿 / Tōdai-Ji Great Buddha Hall(Daibutsu-den))

The photo didn't capture the beauty and serenity of this place. Standing/walking along the path and amidst soaring bamboos with birds chriping while the soft breeze of the wind carries soft chimes and creates a peaceful and relaxing feeling, minus the crowd walking the same path for photo ops of course not to mention carriages pulled by men. That is the only sore spot for me here, hence no photo of that - i dunno maybe it's part of culture or history of the place and a source of livelihood for them but we are in the 21st century, no one should suffer for the comfort of others. If you wanna reach a certain area then walk- I can't imagine the physical pain this form of labor inflicts. 😣 I may not understand the culture but if it's a way of life for them, I respect it and respect these guys even more for taking the job just so they put food in the table for their families. #salute #2018travels🌏✈️ #OSAKAnanamannandunyayon One day in #Kyoto #funJAPAN🇯🇵 #seeyayontan #yayontravels #comewithme (at Arashiyama Bamboo Grove)

Kyoto Tower c.1964 is the tallest structure and a "rare modern iconic landmark" in Kyoto which is famous for its ancient temples and shrines. #2018travels🌏✈️ #OSAKAnanamannandunyayon One day in #Kyoto #funJAPAN🇯🇵 #seeyayontan #yayontravels #comewithme (at Kyoto Tower)

First view from JR Kyoto Station is the Kyoto Tower Hotel with the Kyoto Tower at the background. We didn't enter anymore cause we arrived rather late from Osaka and we wanted to go to Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine immediately so we can visit other places but we took the city bus which takes longer than the trains leaving us with a short stay to each area. Anyhow, since the drive and the walk to the spot is quite long we ended up just seeing 3 of the many I planned-Kyoto Tower, Fushimi Inari Torrie Gates and Arashimaya Bamboo Grove (next post). 😂 I will just wait for the next piso-fare for another visit to Kyoto. #fingerscrossed I know it has a lot more to show. We wanted to do it 2 days but the back and forth from Osaka to Kyoto is tiring and expensive as it's almost 3 hours roundtrip cause we didn't get an accommodation in Kyoto, alternately we will just go around Namba and Dotonbori again tomorrow to explore the area again. #2018travels🌏✈️ #OSAKAnanamannandunyayon One day in #Kyoto #funJAPAN🇯🇵 #seeyayontan #yayontravels #comewithme (at Kyoto Tower)

Cause the Torii Paths's leading to the Inari's Inner Shrine is jampacked on all sides, had to find an area where it's all quiet and peaceful and isolated 😉 From Wikipedia: The highlight of the shrine is the rows of toriigates called Senbon torii. Each of this are donated by Japanese businessmen. This custom started to spread since the Edo period to get a wish to become true or to thank for a wish that became true. Along the main path there are around 10,000 torii gates. #2018travels🌏✈️ One day in #kyoto #OSAKAnanamannandunyayon #funJAPAN🇯🇵 #seeyayontan #yayontavels #comewithme (at Fushimi Inari-taisha)
