Funger fans start discussions of lore that are just either outright stated or are heavily implied concerningly often but my favorite one that came up a few times is the question of what does the cocoon in Marina's moonscorched form represent. Idk man. Must be her gender dysphoria or something.

We're eating good tonite (new funger content posted on the official discord server) from @enbukii on twitter. They also specified that these screenshots are likely related to this passport concept Miro wanted to implement like a year ago.

You guys see this watercolor like effect on this ink drawing I tried to draw with a toothpick? It's because my dumbass cat walked on it. And she had the NERVE to MIAAAU MIAAAAU as I was wiping her stupid little paws. She's currently licking them and washing her face with them, send your thoughts and prayers that she doesn't die of ligma.
I'd post her guilty little face but I'm tryna preserve this dumbasses' anonymity, I don't want her employees to see this first thing on google when they look her name up. DM me for cat pics, I want to share the memory of her in case marina funger will be her demise or the vet bills make me go bankrupt and I won't be able to afford her Grandorf cat food anymore. God bless.

I was gonna make something simple to test out the timelapse feature.....yeah....
Speaking of, here's the timelapse!
Eeeek sorry if it looks silly in the beginning, I tend to change a lot of stuff as I go on (I couldn't wait to merge the layers to be able to move that mf eye really badly if you couldn't tell)

That's intentional afaik. Idk when but I killed Daan early on in the run and then I remembered that I fucked up too late into the game :(
So yeah I'm pretty sure you're damned to give the contestant heads to new gods and pray that you get your books of enlightenment from somewhere else 🙏
didnt know normal, non-daan pocketcat disappears once you kill daan… the implications…

I mean, personally I think they either stayed there together or both left, as due to something we learn at the beginning of Termina (if we choose the right things, won't specify here cause idk if everyone reading this has played Termina) sometime after the first game and before the second one there were excavations going on in the dungeons, it was pretty vague in terms of what's going on in the mines, but due to the things we see later on in the game we can safely assume that the whatever archeologists that were there, they got to Ma'habre, so no way they wouldn't get to Nosramus' place.
In terms of info from the first game... Nosramus did say he's in the dungeons because it's the closest place to the gods. With hindsight we know it was this way because of the god of the depths, and he's... Well, he's no more. GoFaH did consume him, so it's not an entirely godless (lol) place, but with the traces of Sylvian/Gro-goroth destroyed and Ma'habre ravaged I wouldn't be surprised if it's not the same. Maybe not much has changed though, I assume a lot here tbh, like that destroying traces of a god affects their presence in a specific place, or that the void is in any factual way tied to the dungeons, or that the new gods/the guards/whatever meant shit to Ma'habre on a large scale as a place that belonged to the old gods.
So that's Nosramus' motivation. Enki's motivation is enlightenment (they're not that much different now that I think about it), so while I don't think that's canon, but, chances are, he would've stayed at the Ma'habre library to study. He spent his entire life for an opportunity like this and he knows how rare it is, I doubt he has any hopes of finding anything like it outside the dungeons. As for Nosramus, he probably understands that too, also on a human level he seems like a deeply lonely person, seemingly still attached to the probably long dead knight he was in intimate relationship with, with seemingly no human contact after the dungeons went to shit, I bet he wouldn't mind the company of Enki whom he obviously respected enough to help on his way to enlightenment.
I think overall the bigger question here isn't if they ended up splitting or not, but how each of them reacted to having to leave their homes for the ravaging archeologists to take apart and get god knows where, Nosramus with his studies and Enki with his knowledge yearned for all his life. I want to believe they found a way to stand their ground and continue living there, but there's still things in the second game I'm not very knowledgeable about like that one unedited bible I've never encountered personally, so. Idk. Maybe it's a sign they did leave. Maybe it's a sign they were killed by the outsiders. Maybe only one of them left, maybe they went on to live on some even deeper level of the dungeons created by GoFaH.
Since Enki's writing in found in Prehevil that means he left at some point to share/publish his writings... and I wonder, did Nosramus leave with him or was he too scared to get outside the Dungeons after so many centuries? Some people spend *decades* imprisoned and never readjust to living among society.
Nosramus seems to know his way around the dungeon just fine but I wonder if he became agoraphobic with time. He found enlightement and studied ancient books, but was he afraid of not understanding the modern world?
Enki wouldn't ask him to leave with him, or at least he wouldn't insist on it. I think he'd passively aggressively threaten Nosramus of never coming back. Nosramus wouldn't budge and wish him good luck on his pilgrimage.
But Enki would come back. They'd miss eachother too much but neither would admit it...
Ah, something about inmortals in love :( <3

Any thoughts on this @xydo4art?
This has gotta be one of the enkiramus duo and like. imo. it is most likely Enki, given that his bibles are what's in the second game. That said I'd love to hear your opinion on this
(We're probably gonna get a confirmation on this if we get a machine god bible in f&h3, assuming it takes place after f&h2)
Iirc you wrote at least like one fanfic in which Enki thinks about killing Nosramus and the latter knows that? (correct me if I'm wrong). But this is something I thought about almost immediately upon seeing the post, I can honestly very much see this as canon.

The impression I got from Miro's twitter is that it will be modern-ish (after termina but before today) and that it might not be a straight up representation of our world, however he'd put it on his twt. My guess is that it'll take place somewhere around 80ies, but it's either gonna take place in some unconventional place (far from Europa, think Abyssonia) or some serious alternative history will take place, think retrofuturism with Logic.
I’ve been thinking a lot about a third fear and hunger game and what time it should be placed in. At first, I thought a more modern time would work well as it would feel like us but… not us. But then I thought that it being set in the future would be better. Part of the reason why the first games are good is because they feel alien. And having the game be set now would feel more familiar. And who knows maybe they could do something with robots or AI.
