Oh and the best part about the whole au hyrule is about 3,000 years old is that it only dates back to the hypothetical creation date made 50 years before the first war for the triforce (the pre sksw one) so the planet is probably older then people are thinking and yet.....
Like truly no one, not even the Deku Tree knows the day or hour the world was created, what does it feel like just being born? No one is going to know how old the planet is it just popped up one day and a very short time later everyone got malice in their hearts and tried to grab the triangles all because Hylia let it slip that it's a fragment of the trio and is borderline all powerful.

Hi. I saw you mention something about a villain Wind au and I was hoping that you would share something. Have a nice day
Hi! Thanks for sending in the ask, I'd love to share more! Keep in mind this might be a bit rambly, since this is the first time I've taken these ideas out of my head and put them into writing.
I think the one of the biggest things about this AU is that Wind did not start as a villain. He turned into one throughout The Chain's adventure. He chose to leave his path as a hero, leave his brothers, and become a villain. This adds a lot of connections to the other heroes and a lot more angst, which is why it's so fun.
What is my villain wind even like? I think he's a lot angrier than normal Wind. He channels his usual range of emotions into just one: rage, and his single minded goal. He's a lot more prone to angry outbursts at those around him. He's not afraid to be underhanded, his time as a pirate serving him well, using dirty tactics in fights and easily manipulating others in speech using his childlike face and by easily reading others and learning what makes them tick.
His fighting skills, aside from his already existing speed, get augmented from the skills he learns from the others. His wind magic gets a huge boost, as well as his general magic pool, allowing him to use to as an offensive tool, defensive shield, and overall speed increase, as he zips around (nearly flies) in fights. He also gets back his time stop magic in the Phantom Hourglass (but how he gets it back is another story [he kills Oshus])
So what turned Wind into a villain? There was no one singular event, but a lot of moments which slowly swayed Wind from his path of being a hero.
*cw character death*
In my head, the catalyst for everything is Wind's grandmother dying. He's distraught by it, but after a short funeral, he's basically forced to continue his journey, forced to stay stong, because he's a hero. But being a hero, going on his journey, is what made his grandma sick, is what killed her to being with. He starts to resent being a hero.
*cw end*
Other moments include when Wind learns about Vaati, showing interest in his wind magic, but being told that Vaati is evil. Is wind magic evil? Is he? Another moment is when he says some words of sympathy for his Ganondorf, a man trying to bring back Hyrule. They others tell him Ganondorf is always evil, but Wind just can't get himself to believe it (its an hc of mine that Wind feels sympathy for Ganondorf). There's the idea that he came from a world which shouldn't exist, with no hero (even though he's there), and the ghost of a true timeline in Twilight right in front of him. And, there's the fact that Wind wasn't a chosen hero. He forged his spirit, and the sword, but the Triforce was never really his; he isn't a true hero of courage.
All of these ideas slowly pile up, and Wind gets more and more resentful of himself, of heroes, and of Hylia. It doesn;t help that Wind tries to contact Vaati, and succeeds, and is slowly learning more wind magic from him. From his contact with Vaati, he meets up with the other villains in secret. As they support (manipulate) him, and The Chain gets further and further away from his own ideals, he wants to make one last decision - but he needs to talk to one more person about it.
This all culminates, eventually, into a moment where Wind and Tetra meet up, and they talk. Wind tells her all of the doubts he has, and he says that he thinks he hates Hylia. I haven't fleshed out exactly how their conversation goes, but in the end, they have a big fight, and Wind leaves the Great Sea, hurt, with Tetra no longer on his side and with his mind made up.
The next time they sleep, Wind leaves the group for the villains, and when they wake up, they can't find him, and his gossip stone isn't responding to the slate. Wind is now a villain.
But what is even Wind's goal as a villain? He wants to kill Hylia. Believing her to be the reason that his grandmother was killed, that his world was flooded, that all heroes have to suffer, that Tetra has to be someone she's not, he wants to kill her. In his anger, rage, and single-mindedness, he will stop at nothing to kill her. If his brothers get in his way, he will kill them. The only weak spot he has is his home, the Great Sea. He will never hurt his world, his people.
As a villain, he joins a new group, consisting of Dark Link, Ganondorf (undecided which one), The Lizard, and Vaati. he also has different relationships to the other heroes as they learn he's a villain, ranging from Wind's hatred of them, their hatred of Wind, regret at his turning, and even sympathy and a potential turning of another hero, which Wind is ready to use to his advantage.
In my head, I have many, many, many scenes of this AU, at various points in time, so if anyone has anymore questions about this AU, the relationships between the other heroes, or villains, or other specific scenes, please ask! I'd love to talk more and more about it!

If your okay with this question
Question: can you tell us of your sky or heavens lore?
YES!!! now, I don't have that much lore for him (and the others--) BUT i do have some little fun facts about his design and some SMALLL bits of his lore!
Details!
Clothing
The clasp that is holding his scarf thing together has both the symbol of the triforce on it, but is also made to resemble the Goddess Harp that Zelda uses in game!
The lines/designs on his scarf itself also have the triforce on it BUT it also has the design of the goddess sword on it!! (The long bit with the rombus at the end was the design on the blade, while the clover like thing was on the handle of the sword)
The feather hanging from his ear is one from his skywing
The sail cloth is turned into an arm drape of sorts, being looped around his biceps and tied there. (when/if hes in a more crowd area he'll wear it like how zelda first did! but for now its more a accessory and show of his love for zelda rather than practical)
The bracelet in his offical clothing is made out of the scales from the three regional dragons, Lanayru, Faron, and Eldin!
Physical
Heavens has lightning scars all over his face and neck area! These were made during his fight against Demise.
Both his eye bags and lips are pulled from his in game model!
This also goes for his eyebrows. They are thicker at the ends and get skinner the closer they are to the middle of his brow line.
LORE!
In my au(?) the Link's are named after either an unique attribute of theirs (physical or otherwise) or after some piece of information they given the group. In Heavens' case, its the latter of those two options.
Heavens described his homeland as so high above the clouds that the layer of thick, white clouds became a barrier that separated his people from the surface. He spoke of his people who lived in the sky, riding upon long forgotten beasts that acted like their other half. The man had not one ill thing to say of his people, nor his home. So, with such high praise, painting an almost holy image for the other links, some quickly decided on a name for the man.
Heavens, a reflection of the paradise he lived within.
--
When Heavens isn't exploring the Surface with Zelda, or helping Groose set up settlements for Skyloftians interested in visiting the Surface, he GLADLY helps with training back up in the Knight Academy! Which is why is wears similar garments to the other teachers!

@cosmetichorror sorry it took me so long, I had to decide if I wanted to tell you every detail or like. basic outline. (you get basic outline and me talking about the writing experience, sorry. fortunately, I will (maybe) have the first chapter done soon! she says, 6 months after starting it). I've spent so much time on it I don't want to spoil it (is that weird?)
my reincarnation au is... exactly what it sounds like. sksw link is reincarnated with all his memories. (unfortunately, it rapidly grew far beyond what I expected)
this is my most romance centered fic (easy feat. I dont write it) after fots, which means link spends half of his time missing groose and zelda, and also maybe the one with the heaviest topics
I hit Link with the Comedically Large Angst Hammer™️ several times (fun fact: this was the fic where I started using parentheses for angst! fun for me, anyway) while also making jokes every five seconds, because link is, at his core, kind of stupid. He's close to having a breakdown every ten seconds at the current point in writing
I get through minish cap and four swords fairly quickly (stopping only for worldbuilding and angst, as one does), and then ocarina of time, which currently has 6k words out of 7k and is only growing (help me)
oot and mm happen much the same (but fi is there), and then it seems like it's over! time for twilight princess!
HAHA, NO ITS NOT.
fierce deity shows up, and this is where I make up the headcanons I still use six months later. (not telling you, go read first of the sword if you want part of it (<<< blatant advertising))
fd travels with link for a while, and then we reach the part I call "forgot I dislike [spoilers], remembered it, and then immediately made him the asshole he is"
(this is a good thing, actually, because link acknowledges (some of) the negative emotions he's been holding in for 30 years! then he goes back to shoving them all down immediately.)
I continue dragging oot out for an unnecessarily long amount of time, which is what I'm currently doing right now (the end is close, i can feel it. I will probably get distracted again.)
brief explanation of the split timelines: adult and child are normal, Hylia-sanctioned timelines, downfall is what happens when you fuck around with the triforce and kill one of its bearers in already unstable situation
anyway, that's it (i actually meant basic outline)- if you have any questions, feel free to ask! (or suggestions, this is very much a no planning ahead fic)

So I've mentioned before that usually poly ships don't really appeal to me because there's always one of the relationships that I like more or less than the others and so the ship entirely loses its appeal for me because of that
But you know what poly ship I actually DO like ?
Zelda x Lana x Link from Zelda Hyrule Warriors
They're just- They're great together, ok ? All of them
Zelda and Link are some kind of fated lovers, two souls bound by destiny and powers beyond comprehension and the two we meet in Hyrule Warriors really give off that whole soulmate feel since their very first meeting, it's adorable. Link's expression when they fail to find Zelda says it all : he's not just looking for his princess, he's looking for someone he's genuinely worried about, someone he feels a connection with, and he's scared he'll lose her before he could even properly talk to her.
Lana has been in love with Link for... well, we don't know how long, but she's been in love with all of his reincarnations, she watched their lives to see more of him until the day she couldn't stand it anymore and Ganondorf used the power of her love to turn her full evil, so that says something about how strong her feelings are. Also she values Link's happiness over her own feelings because she knows she can't destroy the link he shares with Zelda and she just wants him to be happy even if it's not with her and that will always be my #1 sign that someone is a good person and their feelings are real and genuine.
Zelda and Lana don't interact much in the game's story, but the few times they do, Zelda is nothing but kind and friendly to Lana, even being the one to ask her if they'll ever meet again, even though they had just heard Cya say that Lana wants to make Link hers and at this point we're supposed to have accepted that Link and Zelda are soulmates, so she'd have pretty understandable reasons to not really want Lana around the boy she's supposedly attracted to. And you know how the characters have little cheering phrases for each other when the player character reaches a certain amount of kills in a battle ? I just find the phrases between Lana and Zelda to be absolutely adorable. I think they're the most admirative bunch of the game (aside from Zelda's line to Link and Proxie's lines for Zelda, but that works in the poly ship idea's direction)
Also by the end of the game all three of them hold a piece of the Triforce and I think it would be pretty great to see the three holders coming together, loving each other, forming a whole the same way the three parts of the Triforce are meant to.
So that's for canon information, which admittedly is just a basis for headcanons given how scarce it is, so here are my own :
- Zelda is attracted to Link, sure, but I also think she's really attracted to Lana for the reasons cited above : she's always kind and friendly to her, never suspicious even when she learns that Lana and Cya used to be the same person, she's the one who speaks out when Lana is leaving to express her desire to see her again, etc.
- Zelda's feelings and behaviour toward Lana would surely have an effect on her because, honestly : look at Zelda, look at her smile, imagine being on the receiving end of it, and dare tell me you wouldn't propose to her in the same breath. Anyway, I think Lana would develop a bit of a crush on the princess, especially if she's trying to move on from her feelings for Link because she thinks it's hopeless. She wouldn't be trying to fall for someone else, much less the princess since she's just as inaccessible as the hero, but I think she'd be trying to put some distance between herself and her feelings for Link, try to talk to her friends more and do something other than obsessing over the boy, and develop her relationship with Zelda as a consequence. When she realises she has a crush on Zelda now ? She just screams and hits her head on a wall because GODDAMNIT she did it again. Of all the people in Hyrule, her next crush just HAD to be the one her old crush was fated to be with.
- Meanwhile, Link is around two gorgeous, smart, kind, supportive girls who seem to like him and while he's been attracted to the princess since the first time he saw her, I think he would have developed a close bond with Lana too while fighting together. She's playful and cute, but also strong and reliable, and I think, in the weeks where he fights with Lana and doesn't know where Zelda is, he would develop a small crush on her, which wouldn't really leave even after the princess' official return and would actually only grow when he learns the truth about Lana's birth and feelings.
- now fast forward to the end of the game, the three had some time to sit down and think through their feelings and realise that they like both of the others and have a hard time deciding what to do about it. Or rather, Lana thinks she should just exile herself before she falls in love with the Goddess or something, but Link and Zelda do ponder what they should do, because suddenly, the obvious, fated love they've heard so many tales about doesn't seem so certain and they don't know if they could ever be truly happy without the witch who's wormed her way into their hearts.
- I think Zelda would approach Link to tell him about it first. She's a reasonable, mature young woman who tries to talk things through and see from other people's perspective, so I think her go to move would be to talk about it, but Lana's feelings have been hurt enough as it is, so she'd go to Link first to try and see things a bit more clearly before saying anything to Lana. Thanks to that, they realise that they both like each other and Lana as well, and so they decide to try and see what Lana thinks of them.
- Problem is, like I said, Lana thinks she should self-exile before her stupid heart makes one more stupid decision about who she should be in love with, and that starts by avoiding her crushes at any cost. Luckily, Zelda and Link end up cornering her, but her emotions are so volatile at this point that she just blurts out that she likes them both and doesn't know what to do about it anymore (among many other things and in a way that's a bit hard for the other two to understand until something clicks and a lightbulb goes off in their heads). Of course, Zelda and Link are elated and quick to tell her that they both like her too and maybe they could try all loving each other ? There's a lot of smiles and tears and hugs and they're all really happy.
- They thought it would take some time to adjust to this new kind of relationship, but not at all : they clicked together like pieces of the same puzzle, loving toward each other and comfortable showing it. Lana was the shyest of them at first since she was still half-convinced this was a dream and she would wake up any moment, but one adoring look from her partners (because let's be honest, Zelda and Link, once aware of their feelings and knowing that they are returned, would be the loveliest, dorkiest, goofiest, most adoring partners anyone in Hyrule has ever had) would reassure her right away, and before long she starts being more open about her affections and showing her love for Zelda and Link more easily.
- since they're all cinnamon rolls but two of them are socially awkward and the other is leading a country at age 19 and probably has A Lot to deal with, I think them trying to comfort each other when one is looking glum or stressed would be pretty fun. Like, when Zelda is overworking herself with the kingdom's affairs, the other two will team up to try and ease off her burdens by taking some themselves, but after reading the same piece of paperwork 5 times and still not understanding what it is even for, they give up and just work with Impa to clear off Zelda's schedule for one evening and prepare a nice dinner and relaxing bath for her so she can at least recharge her batteries. Sometimes though, she has so much to do they can't even manage that, so they at least try to support her as much as they can in the little ways (bringing her tea and cake when she's been holed up in her office for hours, taking her to bed when she's fallen asleep on her desk, taking care of the minor demands that can be time-consuming but not really difficult to resolve, etc). Zelda loves them for it and always makes sure to let them know.
(- they try to cook dinner themselves and this in itself deserves a whole post because they try to do something GREAT and that Zelda will love but they are NOT royal level cooks. Far from it. In a modern AU, they'd be living off of ramen noodles. In the end nothing they prepared is edible so they end up asking the cooks to prepare something, but Zelda is still very touched (and amused))
- When Lana is depressed (because she thinks of Cya or has a moment of self-doubt), Link tries to cheer her up by taking her on a nice walk, going to the market together, playing games, or something like that, while Zelda will bring her flowers and tasty treats or just cuddle with her for a while, which is often enough to make Lana feel much better. On the worst occasions, Zelda takes one or two days off and Link and her take Lana on a trip, just the three of them, to have fun and just be together until the bad moment passes. But the first time Lana said she was sad because she was thinking of what happened to Cya and the fact that she couldn't experience the happiness Lana now had with Zelda and Link ? Dumbass princess who thinks she can do anything because she runs a country decided "hey, how about we try to raise the dead ?" and Link had to do damage control. Impa had to step in at some point to prevent Zelda from desecrating holy grounds.
- When Link is glummy, it's usually about pretty deep stuff like destiny and his past lives (for example, the fact that his past lives and the princesses from the past never met their Lana causes him great distress because now he can't imagine his life without her or Zelda, so he gets anxious thinking that his past incarnations might have spent their whole lives feeling a hole somewhere in their life). Zelda and Lana usually try to cheer him up with cuddles, afternoon naps in the gardens, reading together in the library or other quiet, relaxing activities, which he loves and helps ease his mind, but the first time the gloominess lingered... Let's just say that dumbass princess moment 2.0 + time witch are not a great mix when trying to cheer up a man worried about his past lives. Impa had to step in again, this time to prevent some really fucked up changes to the space-time continuum or whatever.
- I kinda doubt that Hyrule has laws about poly marriages, and doubt even more that poly marriage is something that's happened in the royal family before ("but what if the first born is a child between the King consort and the Queen consort, without a drop of royal blood ?"), but in any case, this is dumbass "I raise the dead and travel through time" princess we're talking about, so she manages to pass a law that makes it legal for multiple people to marry, including the royal family. She did that after Link, Lana and her had expressed interest in getting married, and the second the law was passed (in secret, she wanted it to be a surprise for her lovers), she drags them to their favourite quiet spot to relax and cuddle away from castle trouble and responsibilities and she proposes to them. Link and Lana tackle her to the ground and cover her in kisses while laughing and crying and- ok, it's a bit of a mess, but they're happy and they're gonna get MARRIED ! The first time the girls call each other "wife", Link their "husband" and Link calls them his "wives", they cry a little and hug the breath out of each other.
That's all I've got for now in the SFW section (do tell me if you're interested in the NSFW headcanons) so
TL;DR : they're cute and goofy and happy and I love them.

Fake Fic Summaries 26/?, the Five Ways Love Hurts edition (2020-04-20)
A/N: I would like to preface this be reiterating the shameful fact that I still have yet to consume any canon BnHA. All of my knowledge is entirely from fanfiction, the occasional wiki-ing, and various meta analysis posts.
I mean... I don't think that really matters considering these are all fake AU/recursive ship fics, but I just feel like it's something I should warn people about?
Anyway, here we go!
~
1) clockwork hearts (the too many gears remix)
Or, when you're in love with an android because he's so human, but that android loves some other human entirely...
... and that other human hates your beloved android because he's not the real thing.
Aka, I read clockwork hearts by OneshotPrincess and thought to myself, how do I make this beautiful and sweet fic dramatic and sad? Throw some Bakugou into the mix!
Okay, so, I would highly recommend the fic--it's beautiful and sweet and pretty quick and also this next bit is spoiler-y/won't matter much if you haven't read it.
Anyway, clockwork hearts is a TodoDeku fic in which Izuku is an android, and Todoroki is a rich boy completely enamored by this android who seems so human.
And while I cannot say whether or not it's because the android IS based off a human Izuku in the original fic, I can say that's the situation in this little brainstorm because what if that was true? And so because android Izuku is based on human Izuku that would mean android Izuku loves (whether platonically or romantically) Bakugou.
But that means Bakugou knows (and maybe loves?) the human Izuku so android Izuku is like... a despicable artificial mockery in his eyes.
So I guess first I have to figure out what the BakuxHuman!Izuku side of this fic would be--like, is who/why does Human!Izuku have an android version of him? Is he in some way incapacitated or or missing/presumed dead or actually dead?--and then, second, I would have to figure how the TodoxAndroid!Izuku path crosses with the BakuxHuman!Izuku path.
I mean, if Human!Izuku is missing then maybe Android!Izuku has the clues to find him so Bakugou is like "hey, I need your shitty robot to find my [beloved] childhood friend" to Todoroki because he doesn't even think of Android!Izuku as being sentient and Todoroki's just like, wtf no, but Android!Izuku does kind of love Bakugou and is just like. "He needs my help! Even if it's to find Human!me."
And then it becomes a begrudging trio road trip to either a) find Human!Izuku or b) give Bakugou closure on Human!Izuku's death PLUS c) fall in love???
I just love drama!
~
2) Becoming Real (not too shabby)
Katsuki has long ago put away his childish things, but Izuku's not one for giving up.
Or, in which Izuku is one of Katsuki's childhood toys and wants to become Real.
(aka, a Velveteen Rabbit/Pinocchio AU)
Vaguely reminiscent to the above brainstorm, although I don't know if this would be weird to make romantic or not. Given the whole Izuku starts as one of Katsuki's childhood toys and all.
I'm trying to figure out in this journey to become real, if Katsuki's life is just normal BnHA world (minus Izuku as a human) so he goes to UA and there are quirks etc etc. Because that would mean I couldn't make some of the other toys/beings on Izuku's journey to Realism be the Dekusquad. Like. The idea of Iida and Uraraka and Tsuyu as other toys/Jiminy Cricket equivalents trying to help/guide/keep Izuku from doing something nuts is very fun. But then would that mean they're not in class 1-A anymore? Or is this a weird Wizard of Oz situation? Or are the League of Villains obstacles for Izuku instead of being actual Villains ruining the UA students' lives?
Or... is this somehow a Izuku is actually human with a quirk but long ago something happened to Inko so he turned himself into a toy as a weird quirk defense mechanism and Katsuki took him home and both of them/just Izuku forgot how to turn back? So the answer all along is to get to Aizawa? ... but that one's kinda weird and horrifying, so I'm going to say no.
I don't know, I just thought. Velveteen Rabbit = Izuku was easy to connect but there's not much of a plot to follow through on?
~
3) Bakugou Katsuki's Guide To House Husbandry and Domestic Bliss
It's just a Way of the House Husband AU but with retired pro hero Ground Zero instead of a former yakuza. That's it.
Weirdly enough I have more semi-angsty backstory for this fluffy nonsense than actual fluffy nonsense, presumably because I was trying to figure out a feasible set up for the fluffy nonsense? So it's something like:
When Izuku and Katsuki are six years old, they are attacked by a villain made of sludge.
This is after Izuku's quirk has failed to appear, after he has been branded as quirkless and useless, but before the words become pointed and suffocating and bitter.
This is after Katsuki fell and Izuku leaped after him hand outstretched, after a false sense of inequality has been wedged between them, but before it can permanently shape a dynamic of confused conflict.
This is after their lives have been tied together, for better and worse, but before it can be horrendously tangled and frayed.
When Izuku and Katsuki are six years old, they are attacked by a villain made of sludge and saved by the number one hero All Might--it changes both everything and nothing of their futures lives.
Because Katsuki will turn this horror into determination, will become a hero that always wins--and better than All Might, he vows, staring wide-eyed at the curled form of his best friend in All Might's arms as he run, run, runs to the hospital. And Izuku will still help people with all he can give, even quirkless and one hand short.
And two decades later, as they move in together, this still stays the same: Katsuki is far and away the better house husband.
... and it's basically Izuku is some kind of engineer/doctor/physical therapist and at the top of his industry same as Katsuki who is Ground Zero and who is on some kind of injury related sabbatical and who has decided to be the Best House Husband ever.
I had some more thoughts about how, even though Izuku still admires All Might and doesn't at all blame him for the loss of his hand, that his mentor/goal in this world is the engineer/doctor/physical therapist that helped child Izuku with his prosthetic (and I came up with a name and a non-work related quirk for them, too, Akahana Tonakai who can make their nose glow and that's it. Quirks do not make them great, etc. etc.) And also some angst about how the hand that Izuku lost was the hand that he reach out to Katsuki when they were younger (should've take it when you had the chance!! he sometimes thinks, before shaking that thought away)
I don't have anything concrete tho, so... that's it.
~
4) Legend of... ???
Power, Wisdom, Courage...
Even without the great calamity, the princess of legend, or the hero of time, the triforce still remains in Hyrule waiting for those who would wield them.
Or, Katsuki was always going to be a hero, he just has no idea what to about with the weird forest spirit that has the other half of his sword.
Basically... Deku = Deku Tree from Legend of Zelda? Not that Izuku is that big old tree, but, like, maybe he was raised in the forest? Maybe it's the only name that non-forest dwellers know? I don't know. I've literally only played Breath of the Wild and, like, 20% of Majora's Mask so... the lore is not strong in me.
I kind of had an idea of, like, mixing the "canon Fantasy!AU" (which is, frankly, bewildering that that's a term that both applies and makes sense) but I don't really know the full lore of that either? I mean, maybe All Might was a powerful hero who had managed to unite all three pieces of the TriForce (at expense to his health) and when his sword was split in two and one ended up with Katsuki while the other was SUPPOSED to be waiting for its other half in the forest protected by the Deku Tree but instead Izuku was like. Hey. I can wield this to protect people and off he went and now it's kind of this chasing me, chasing you type adventure?
I was also trying to figure out the whole Power = Bakugou, Courage = Izuku, Wisdom = ??? thing. Because while I would normally be like, ah, yes, the Big Three would be Bakugou, Izuku, and Todoroki, I wouldn't necessarily say Todoroki is Wisdom? So... *shrugs*
~
5) i dream of flowers (the always fading remix)
Or, how to take a yearningly sweet and slightly melancholy fic and turn that sad dial up to eleven!
This would be a real sad remix of i dream of flowers (and they're always sad) by Seeress
The idea I have is going to be spoiler-y and it's not worth the spoiler so PLEASE read that first. Trust me, it's worth it. Actually, all of Seeress' fic is so *chef's kiss* if you're into BakuDeku. Anyway, the rest of the brainstorm is under the cut so as not to violate spoilers.
I really just wanted to lean on that ANGSTIER AMNESIA. So the remix is more... in which they can only be together when Bakugou is "Ground Zero" because Izuku's brain is literally incapable of holding memories of "Bakugou Katsuki" after the hanahaki surgery. So not only did the surgery cause retrograde amnesia (in that, all of Izuku's memories of Katsuki were taken out along with his feelings) it also causes anterograde amnesia in that, Izuku can't form new memories surrounding the person he knows as "Bakugou Katsuki." Kind of like a vaccine... or, so as to maintain the flower vibe/analogy, it's like selective herbicide.
BUT (and here's where it gets deliciously angsty) he can still form memories of the hero "Ground Zero" he just can't connect that Ground Zero = Bakugou Katsuki. Which is especially fun given that in the original fic they meet up again and Ground Zero is trying to reconnect with/date Izuku. It's not quite the level of Fifty First Dates, because Izuku CAN keep memories of Ground Zero (and like in the original fic, Izuku has been a fan of Ground Zero for a couple of years) it's just whenever Katsuki tries to say his real name that the memories/connections fail to form. Like the two identities must be kept compartmentalized. So they can have a perfectly functional relationship so long as Katsuki only ever stays Ground Zero to him.
I don't know how to get to a resolution though, or if there even is one? Because on the one hand, I guess I would love Katsuki mildly suffering in order to be with Izuku for infinity, but Izuku is also real smart and I feel like even amnesia wouldn't stop him and he's not really one to be stuck in a dilemma when he can just resolve it through sheer force of will... *shrugs*
