Also sorry if this doesn't make too much sense, I'm stupid still working things out and English isn't actually my first language believe it or not

Right so time for a mini explanation of the au

Basically, when Newton was much younger, I'm talking 15 16, he communicated with the Titans through the tea tin. He would mainly vent to them and regard them as 'friends' to some extent (unbeknownst to him that was merely manipulation on the Titans' part)

After a while, they convinced Newton to make a deal of sorts. That if he freed them, they'd help him in their own way (careful choice of words was chosen whilst the agreement was being made)

The Titan's have a grip on his mind now, but no one else really seems to be aware of that fact.

Newton is a puppet, in the most literal sense possible. He's controlled by strings tied to every limb that only he can see and feel, though they sometimes appear to others in mirrors and reflections but that's rare. Hence, the name of the au :00

The Titan's slowly strengthen their control every so often, causing him to black out and either forget what happened or for everything to be merely a blur for him

Usually these moments are quite short, and it's the Titans just messing with him for no reason. Sitting him down in a different part of the airship to confuse him, making him tense up then trip over on purpose, moving his stuff around, ripping up oddly specific notes and blueprints he has made, leaving him with unexplainable scars and injurys, writing cryptic messages and notes for themselves in a sometimes incomprehensible language

After a while, Newton began to slowly believe that he can't change what happened and almost.. accepted all this as part of his daily life and routine. Going from horrifying and disturbing to a minor inconvenience in most situations

No one seems to catch on to that much. No one notices the rigid and puppet-like movements he makes, no one seemed to notice that the Tea Tin had been opened years ago and is standing empty on the rooftop, no one appears to care about Newton's odd behaviour at all
