❦ technically the only language tam lin actually speaks is middle scots. the fae court enchanted him to understand any human language, and that magic hasn't broken yet.
he can feel that the words coming out of his mouth aren't what's in his head, and it takes a certain amount of constant concentration to ignore the Strangeness.
( the way the magic filters his senses also means he really can't study and properly learn any new languages, either. )
