Technically they were dating a bit before Raoul came back as a vampire

Luckily Shu and Raoul had a biting kink that made their relationship shift less jaring

Raoul's new spiked tires let him do parkour basically everywhere = new places to explore and fuel his adrenaline junkie engine or at least the husk of it

Much to Shu's worry about him expending his limited fuel supply but Raoul takes care to be back at about near empty to feed from Shu back at home

Mach Matsuo and Bruno Motoreau had inklings of a relationship between their proteges but both were told after Raoul turned

Raoul's marking bites on Shu aren't covered up and Shu proudly displays them along with the scratches from Raoul's tires

Raoul's favorite time to feed off Shu is when Shu is ready to go to sleep and he bites into his fuel tank to help him relax with the healing saliva

When morning comes around, Shu tucks in Raoul and sets up the blackout curtains to make sure no sunlight disturbs him

If it's a relaxing day off from training, Shu will read manga, play video games or watch anime alongside Raoul

Both particularly like pointing and laughing at the various vampire traits in the latter and comparing them against Western vampire media (Carsverse Twilight is a particularly easy target to mock)

Sometimes Raoul misses the sunlight, shivering next to a burning hot Shu as he contents himself with pictures and videos of sunrise and sunset

Shu once tried drinking Raoul's fuel to see what would happen when he got a little scrape

It ended up with the nastiest tasting fuel he ever had and both learned that vampire car fuel is viable in a short time frame outside of the vampire frame (only minutes til it spoils)

With that knowledge in mind, the next time Shu supped from Raoul: the taste was a bit coppery and left a thin film of iron on his mouth (not the best nor not the worst for Shu's taste)

Sometimes Shu kisses Raoul after he is fed to see if his fuel changes taste (the addition of the vampire car saliva chills the fuel and adds a mild sweetness)

What would be the equivalent of a shot or like a blood test (oil??) in the carsverse? And would some cars be terrified when the time comes like we would be?

I don’t think there is an equivalent in this case! The closest thing I can think of to this would be like a fuel or oil additive of some sort - and those tend to be tasty treats in the Carsverse from what we can tell via Piston Cup sponsors.

Would the Carsverse equivalent of Père Lachaisse Cemetery would be Père LeChâssis Cemetery?

I'm writing more Vampire! Raoul and Donor! Shu and one of the more true crime stories that I am fascinated with is the Highgate Vampire. Now it is currently debunked as part of the Satanic Panic, but I've always wondered how would a real vampire react to the Highgate Vampire. A supernatural blood drinking vampire vs a supposed psychic vampire.

Both Raoul and Shu are visiting Père LeChâssis Cemetery to look at some celebrity graves and get stalked by another vampire car. Long story short, Raoul tears apart the other vampire and devours all of its fuel and accidentally takes their place as the new cryptid in the Parisian cemetery.

Various paranormal groups try to investigate the new Père LeChâssis Vampire but never seem to catch definitive proof.
