Kel - Professional

Weapons: Stake Driver, BeastHunter Saif, Repeating Pistol

Hero - Military Veteran

Weapons: Ludwig’s Holy Sword, Logarius Wheel, Ludwig’s Rifle

Aubrey - Violent Past

Weapons: Boom Hammer, Whirligig Saw, Hunter’s Blunderbuss

Basil - Noble Scion

Weapons: Chikage, Bloodletter, Evelyn

I was originally gonna write out a full paragraph for this and describe my thought processes in detail for what each character would be, but Tumblr keeps deleting everything I write so instead I’ll keep it brief.

Sunny would be a noble scion skilltinge build and instead of Blade’s of Mercy he’d have something like the Chikage? Both weapons are Cainhurst weapons so it’s not far fetched for him to have both. It’d also make sense for him to have an Evelyn as that was also a Cainhurst weapon and he’d certainly have the Bloodtinge to use it.

Mari as a pure skill build with the Professional background and a Rakuyo feels kind of fitting as in lore Lady Maria disdained the use of Blood Blades, and you could totally twist that into “Sunny views as lesser to Mari because he has to rely on his blood to win duels.” She would also fit in my mind as the Hunter of Hunters.

Kel as an Equality build makes sense for me but as to what background fits most is a little hard to determine but he’d probably be either Milquetoast or troubled childhood, as for what weapons he could always use the typical Hunter’s weapons of Sawcleaver and Hunter’s pistol and maybe just maybe a Church Pick because Hero would be a member of the Healing Church?

Hero as another Equality build but using Church weapons this time would make sense but I kind of really like the idea of him being a strength build with like a Kirkhammer, Holy Blade, and Ludwig’s Rifle.

Aubrey, Aubrey would most definitely be a Strength build but I am in love with the idea that she is a member of the Powder Kegs, Boomhammer and Whirligig and like a piercing rifle, and I love the idea that the rest of the Powder Kegs are members of The Hooligans.

Now Basil, you originally said that Basil is a bloodtinge build and I could not disagree more Basil is an arcane build through and through and he has the most insight out of all the group because in game he (and Sunny) are the only people who can see Somethings, and in a hypothetical Omori but Bloodborne scenario the Somethings are Great Ones. Basil have an Amygdala Arm, and either a Kos Parasite or a Tonitrus, and using like a flame sprayer instead of a gun. His background would be Cruel Fate.
