Chapter 10 of Under the Northern Lights is now live on AO3!

I am so excited to share this chapter, despite the fact that I had a mid-fic crisis while writing it and may have had a mini mental breakdown while attempting to nail down all of the emotions/buildup😂. I had to go back through every chapter thus far, pick out pieces of what I’d written and organize them all into a doc to make sure I wasn’t fucking it all up😂.  

I had originally planned to post this one last weekend, but because of the aforementioned breakdown, and the fact that my final draft ended up being almost THREE TIMES the length of my rough draft, it took a little longer than I wanted. I can’t even tell you how many hours have gone into this chapter, and I really don’t want to know. 

BUT. 

*Takes deep breath*

After all of that chaos, I am really proud of the final result, and hope that you enjoy this ultra fluffy chapter!

Chapter 10 Summary: After growing closer and learning more about one another, Kagome and Inuyasha take a leap of faith, progressing their relationship in a way that seems subtle, but changes everything.

Story Summary: Kagome Higurashi has her dream job, working as a photographer for the internationally well-known Yugen magazine. Her job whisks her all around the world, leaving her feeling lonely sometimes but mostly just incredibly grateful to be doing what she loves. When she gets assigned to Alaska for a month to photograph a series of celestial events, she runs into Inuyasha, a half-demon who lives on his own in the middle of nowhere. A mutual attraction draws them to each other, but Kagome’s time there is limited. Will giving in to their desire lead to love or heartbreak?

#THIS OMFG 😂😂😂😂#Cass' 'I love you' was completely familial imo but sometimes I highkey get the urge to rewatch the show thru simp Cass glasses#because remember all those theories about Cass being the real villain? Castiel runs to Maggie first (who was fine btw) and then bothers to chase after Sam, comes back 2 seconds later and shakes his head

Dean: are you sure, you barely looked

Castiel: he’s gone

Dean: no!

Dean tries to go after Sam but Castiel stops him with: WE DON’T HAVE TIME

Later in the episode

Jack realises Sam isn’t with them and he’s gone.

Castiel puts his hand on Jack’s shoulder but Jack shoves it away

Jack (angry): Couldn’t you bring him back?

....

Cas: Jack... If we could’ve, we would’ve. I’m so sorry.

Much later in the episide:

Sam returns
