This is genuinely so gross -> having Davrin basically amount to a domino that needed to fall for the big emotional payoff with Assan's death. GTFO.

And having that be the only reason? Because you wanted there to be this 'choice' and not because it worked with the story as the first priority? It made sense in Mass Effect because Shepard and the Normandy couldn't save two people at once - not with the time limitations they had.

It's feels like I'm watching Epler and the rest of the team light a match, pour a bunch of gasoline, and then light what little goodwill they had left on fire while they all hold hands and sing a song WTF is this??
