When have they been unable to save someone or something no matter how much they tried?

Adil: Sadly has run into this the most of the three, being a nurse. The Cassini has a really good medical bay, but part of being a scout ship is running into toxins, viruses, and weapons you have no experience with. He deals with it via intense compartmentalization that would make a vulcan proud and a lot of counseling.

Nol: Not yet! Though leaving someone behind is one of his greatest fears. I'll probably write something when I'm feeling particularly angsty. (*-`ω´- )人

Pan: So. His whole Thing is the only people he cares about are himself and Cemir (aka Rae) so he's never really... tried to save anyone else before. His old mentor did die as a result of helping him escape a fighting ring, but it's not something that bothers him much.

How far would they go to save someone they love? Would they sacrifice themselves? Others?

Adil: *Knives out voice* He is a Good Nurse. Adil will work himself to the bone to save pretty much anyone that comes into his care, and will absolutely resort to threats and blackmail to find solutions (Nol finds this so hot). So would he sacrifice himself? Yeah, but mostly in a roundabout way. As for sacrificing others... some people he wouldn't, but if he thinks you're a bad person, or someone who 'signed up' for it (mostly higher up starfleet personnel) then he would.

Nol: He is ABSOLUTELY the kind of little shit to pull a big, dramatic, deadly save for his loved ones or crewmates. In a way, he thinks of it as kind of his duty as a pilot - last one out and all that (Adil is helping him with that. Having someone who really wants you back will do that to you). Sacrificing others would be a lot harder for him, and he'd eventually decide not to do it to save Adil, but it would destroy him.

Pan: LOL anyone between him and Cemir is already dead (I want to introduce them as dnd antagonists at one point as a crazed necromancer and the woman he brought back. I Am Stretched On Your Grave by Abney Park is soooo Pan coded). He'd only sacrifice himself as an absolute last resort, since the point is for them to be together. However, if it came down to that, he would, and pretty easily - he considers all of his life hers after she helped him in the fighting ring.

Do they have self worth? (this one is so rude, lol I love it)

Adil: Yeah! He's a very self-assured person, and has pretty much always lived around a support system of people who value his insights and work. He also doesn't get intimidated by station easily.

Nol: He's working on it! He's the kind of person who kind of makes up for being more unsure by bragging and swagger. He's got most people fooled (and he's working on fooling himself), except for Adil, his Captain Dirk Kelly, and his First Officer, Liolram Avut.

Pan: Oh fuck yeah, the conceited bastard (affectionate). He considers himself #2 in the world. However he did have a rougher time with that in childhood - he was kidnapped into the fighting ring at a young age, and all the fighters there were treated like slaves.
