literally!!! evryone is all cool with it and its almost never talked about again. like the 3rd hokage knew for years, at least since neji's father's death, and didnt bother punishing the main branch for slavary or create laws to prevent them from handing out more curse marks. (i hate the the 3rd hokage so much) why are curse marks not illegal? i dont remember any kind of human rights or international laws put in place but i guess every village does what they want. who cares about another shinobi world war.

and its so crazy that no one at the final chunin exams that hears about the slavary and torture of the side branch goes "oh my fucking god??? why the fuck has this been going on for so long and why is no one doing anything???"

the side branch deserved so much better and get a proper closure where neji doesn't die for the main branch. instead hiashi dies for neji and pays back the debt of his brothers sacrifice by saving his son. this couldve been the event that breaks the cycle of abuse and maybe even hiashi could make neji the head of the clan in his final moments. maybe in hiashis final moments we see him understand that the main branch and side branch are an outdated practice that should be abolished.

i think hiashi even mentions that hizashi and neji should have gotten the title of clan leader during the chunin exams? (i might be wrong lol) but because hizashi was the younger twin he looses that right. its so stupid.
