it's funny to me to watch people speculating if another company can makes the inevitable Baldur's Gate 4 and have it turn out to be a good game, like the first two games in the series weren't total bangers
#I'm not trying to rep hasbro/wotc#because I equally believe that if anyone can find a way to destroy the golden goose that fell into their lap#they can#but I do think there are a lot of other companies that could make a very solid successor to bg3#the real question lies on if hasbro/wotc will actually give them a chance to flex their creative muscles#which from what I know of hasbro specifically#whewy#I think even if larian did promise to make bg4 it wouldn't be the same commercial/critical success#because I know the suits at hasbro are going to be monitoring development like a hawk#fuck the games industry larian was so wise to go their own way
