I'm suddenly reminded again how pissed off I still am about Sasha Braus on Attack on Titan.

Will we EVER get any justice for that fucking stunt? Or for how that stupid ending just glossed over all the characters who were killed for no reason at all in the end?

Yeah I'm still angry at the ending, at season four, and the final 48 chapters of Attack on Titan, none more so than everything from Assassin's Bullet onward. So many offensive scenes associated with Isayama's determined effort to abuse and obliterate one character for his own sick games. Hajime Isayama is a truly impressive kind of asshole, because what he did...........A fucking nightmare that actually did come true.

I still dream of the day where I spit on his work right in front of his face.

And oh yeah, fuck Gabi Braun, if she has any remaining fans here, sorry not sorry. She's an overplayed, OP bitch. And so is her big brother Eren Yeager.

Yeah seeing images of that one moment in anime that left you bitter like few others have will bring some pretty hateful memories back to the surface.

Everything after the time skip.....never forget all that was stolen from us after that point in the story. It all seemed devoted to one thing and one thing only: Killing off every good thing that made Attack on Titan what it was when it first came on, right down to the original story which upon closer inspection was no longer about the Titans. As I have said in the past, theirs was a compelling mystery that only got worse with every new answer revealed, answers that completely subverted everything established out the starting gate, all of it falling back to Eren Yeager.

I will never understand those who held out for three years and the constant delays between episodes to see this crap adapted to the big screen. And speak of it as it was some sort of major accomplishment on their part. I didn't see any meaningful payoff from this or the manga, so I don't know what the fans think they got out of this.

I would totally love to see the last season declared noncanon if it meant erasing the black stain that still reeks from Eren's betrayal, that baffling and unnecessary time loop, and the completely unwarranted and manipulative deaths that Isayama milked for his own sadistic pleasure, Sasha and Hange above all.

Ironic how the actual ending of this saga, if you can call it that, is a much less conclusive finish than the one we got immediately after the biggest reveal of the series.

This story ended with the ocean.

Attack on Titan's blackest moment.....

Four years ago today, and it still hurts to know it came to this for her. A character who was so iconic and beloved, a girl who seemed destined for so much more.

Four years ago, the last we saw of our beloved Potato Girl, Sasha Braus.

She truly had a great thing going, an strong, energetic, yet frightened young woman who nevertheless fought through the ugliness of the world inside the Walls, and grew into one of its most able protectors when the call came. She often seemed out of place in the Scouts, but truly represented what they stood for.

She had everything to be even greater and stronger, perhaps one of the heroes of humanity in the final fight against Eren.

And all of that was thrown away.....And for what? FOR THIS:

Gabi Braun will always be a vile, obnoxious, and unnecessary sack of shit who existed only to hold down the entire series, by stealing Sasha's rightful place in a circle of characters where she will always be the odd one out that NEVER should have been.

I don't give a fuck what her defenders say, and for them to continue she's a well written character is all in service of Isayama's worst deceit. All of Attack on Titan's final act exists only to push this goddamn little usurper, with every trick in the book pulled to pry sympathy for a character who was given zero likable traits and was too late to the scene for any investment to feel legitimate. All for the most contrived and dishonest character arc in the history of anime. There's a right and a wrong way to do redemption arcs, and Gabi Braun is a prime example of how it can be abused at the expense of the story. This is what happens when you let an author show open disrespect to the fandom by blatantly playing favorites through the entire context of the story, which essentially carried Gabi all the way to the end by forcing her into the main plot in the worst way imaginable.

The fact that any chance Sasha had at an ongoing arc in season four, to take part in the final fight against Eren and the fact that her killer was given a fucking happy conclusion at the expense of her own is a grave insult to someone who was not even allowed to go out with any real dignity. One who had been with us ever since the beginning.

No worse image than that of Sasha bleeding out, unable to speak, with her memory exploited by Isayama at every turn simply to push whatever agenda he sought to fulfill with the biggest bitch in anime.

Such a grave injustice. And we so richly deserved to see Gabi receive some for what she did.

Should have let Kaya finish the job, Mikasa. You OWED Sasha that much. NONE OF YOU owed anything to that fucking little shit.

And she's certainly not owed any of our sympathy. This kid had no conscience to speak of before her life was directly threatened.

Was what we lost REALLY worth it all?

Assassin's Bullet is and remains one of the WORST things I've ever seen in my life, and it singlehandedly tainted my experience with both manga and anime. It'll forever be one of the worst things in any anime, and we still deserve more and BETTER from Sasha Braus. The only redemption I want is a redemption from this travesty's very existence.

Forever remember Sasha Braus. Her big heart, her laugh, her kindness, her hunger for all the good things in life, her incredible integrity and selflessness........It's a loss that still feels far too real. And she deserves better than to be remembered as a mere tool for such a shameful and manipulative sideshow as what Hajime Isayama dealt us.

To the real heart of Attack on Titan, I will love you always Sasha Braus.

Yeah that's the whole thing. She DIDN'T have to die.

And the reasons for why she did are so insulting to her as a character and to the story, Sasha was just reduced as a means to an end to force a character and plotline literally nobody wanted. And for a message that feels incredibly disingenuous. Worse, she's gradually forgotten about, not even her own friends and parents honored her in the way that they should have. That's to say nothing of how Hajime Isayama never developed her personal connections to her friends, family and (Alleged) crush beyond some extremely lazy exposition, again only there long enough to push a brat who quite frankly, had no business being such a big deal in the story.

All I wanted was to see Sasha in action, and continue to grow as a warrior. She's more than just the Potato Girl, she is one of the characters in anime who's full potential was squandered by someone who didn't respect the connection a lot of us felt with Sasha. I do not regret abandoning the anime after what he did to her in "Assassin's Bullet". I can't accept that. And nor should anybody else.

There is no Attack on Titan without Sasha.

I've had this image in my head for almost 4 years at this point. I had to sketch it in my notebook, and when I got sick of trying to draw it traditionally, I took a picture with my phone and digitally inked over that picture. As a result, the actual file is massive, but there's a lot more detail when it's not shrunk down and run through filters.

There's a healthy point of view there. Too bad Isayama did all three dirty with season four, all because he wanted to focus exclusively on Gabi. There are too many reasons Gabi doesn't work as a character.

Mikasa, Hange, Sasha, they all deserved better. Because they are great characters. Regardless of how AOT ended, Isayama completely failed to do any of them justice. He should not be sailing by for his lack of care with them.

Reason:

1.Mikasa is a strong, determined, and loyal character. She is skilled in armed combat and has a fierce and protective personality. She is also brave and selfless, as she is constantly putting herself at risk to help those around her. These qualities make her a compelling and admirable character to root for and admire.😍

2.Hanji is a brilliant, curious, and compassionate character. She is a scientist who is fascinated by the titans and is dedicated to finding ways to defeat the monsters. She is also a kind and caring person, who goes out of her way to help others, even when it puts her in danger. These qualities make her an endearing character to follow and support.😚

3.Sasha is a vibrant, energetic, and fun-loving character. She has a positive and upbeat outlook on life, and always looks for the good in people. She is also a skilled hunter who is able to provide food for her friends in tough times. These qualities make her a cheerful and reliable presence on the team, and a character that is easy to like and enjoy watching.❤️

And my least favorite is Gabi 🙄 Obviously... she's actually not my least favorite,I kinda hate her

Gabi is a vengeful and vindictive character, who is unable to see past her own anger and hatred. She is narrow-minded and selfish, and is willing to hurt others to get what she wants. She also lacks compassion and understanding, which makes her a cruel and unsympathetic character. These qualities make her a character that is easy to dislike, and a difficult one to root for.And she also killed Sasha😑

You know for years I was desperate to see Attack on Titan end. I was so goddamn fed up with the series, with the manga, with the fanbase and ESPECIALLY with the self indulgent asshole who wrote it that I never stopped wishing it would just crash and burn. The ending was bafflingly stupid and unsatisfying, and I stand by that opinion, I am at a total loss as to why anybody believes for a minute that the anime ending somehow redeemed what was first presented by the manga.

I was so furious at AOT, the whole timeskip made it the bane of my existence. Something I followed casually but with dedication became something I felt actively insulted by after what began with the fucking Marley arc. And after the events of that arc nothing else mattered to me except that the fucker ended.

Well it finally did. And that still brought me no satisfaction. Looking at you Gabi, looking at you Eremika......and yeah the Rumbling and the time loop, I hated all of it. Some of the worst and most delusional writing I've ever seen.

So why the hell then am I still somehow upset that it's over?

Any normal person would drop a bad experience and move on. But I have a hard time moving on from this. And part of me is upset it's done after all these years of cursing its existence.

It's a feeling I cannot make sense of. Can anybody else?

Seeing how much dislike there is for the endings of BnHA (me too) and JJK (haven't seen it, don't know if I will) makes me appreciate Jigokuraku and Haikyuu even more because truly it couldn't be my goats ToT.

Horikoshi and Gege need to sit down and learn how to end shit from Kaku and Furudate.
