Days 23-27 of the Halloween Hunt: The Tricky Treat
This spell enchants a treat given to those who seek them for the Hallows season.  Though the spell is centered around an apple, the charm can be cast upon any tasty edible.  It should be noted, this spell can serve for good or ill, so trick or treat as you prefer.
You will need:
an apple
the specter of Maleficent’s magic (the ghostly green fire and fog of a spooky eyed faery who moonlights as a dragon)
a handful of secrets (matched to five sigils)
six toothpicks
Take an apple, ripe and red, and carve it in half midways, to reveal the fivefold star within.
The star of seeds within the apple is your conjuring circle.  Place the bottom half of the apple before you, and speak this spell:
Star of the earth, encircle the heart with all the powers of hell.
By thorns of doom and secret’s art, around them cast my spell.
Then, take a toothpick and whisper a secret into it five times, each time tapping one of the five seeds, then carving a sigil representing that secret into the skin of the top of the apple (which you’ve laid aside).  These secrets can be dreams, fears, things you’ve done that you want none to know about, whatever you wish so long as it fits the kind of enchantment you’re casting.  Once you’ve used a toothpick to bind a secret to the seeds and the skin of the apple, stick it in the apple pointing up, so you can fit the top and bottom back together and hold it with five of the toothpicks.
The last toothpick will collect juice from each of the sigils you’ve drawn.  You use that to anoint any of the treats you wish to enchant.  A single drop will do, and it can go on a wrapper or even a container- it doesn’t have to enter the actual food.  When anointing, whisper either the secret or the name of the sigil over the treat.  Use all five secrets for best results.
Once the treats are imbibed, the spell will begin to take effect upon those who eat it.  As the apple rots, so will the spell grow faster, and their power to resist it wane.  The apple should be stored somewhere safely until it withers properly, as opening the apple’s seal breaks the spell upon all your victims.  To break the hold upon one of your victims individually, reveal the truth to them alone.

Be near me when the sensuous frame Is rack'd with pangs that conquer trust; And Time, a maniac scattering dust, And Life, a fury slinging flame.

Halloween Hunt Day 3 - Black Cat This is from the Spirit Cats Deck! There was at least one other black colored cat in the deck, but this one seemed to fit the bill a little better 🐾

Days 28-31 of the Halloween Hunt: The Laughing Jack
After the Hallows season is over, and the circle of the Liberi Fatali opens, your Jack will visit you a final time before departing back to his home.  With him, he will bring the collected knowledge of the thirteen days of the circle spell you cast, and his thoughts and experiences of the sabbat.
The first order of business is to see what he saw.  Each of his eyes has three cards laid in a hex; the left eye reveals tricks and mischief he spotted, the right reveals treats and delights he spied.  What he tells you will be what he considers important to share with you.  Do with that knowledge what you will.
Then you read the “nose,” which is a piece of information about yourself that he believes to be worthy of comment.  It is likely to be a bit “on the nose,” considering its placement.  Listen respectfully.
Finally, the six cards below are his personal thoughts and feelings, just him “jawing.”  Read them in a line left to right, and contemplate his words.  Always remember to give respect to the counsel and ideas of your allies.  They often know more than they say, and their perspective is worth your time.
Never do this spread until the Dawn of Saints, after your circle closes.  Your Jack will be too busy during that time to sit down and chat.  However, once you’ve made a bond with a Jack and completed a Hallows season with him, he should be able to return next year, and while he’s around you should be able to spy through his eyes whenever you like.
And that wraps up the Halloween Hunt for the year!  This was fun!  I’m going to need to save these spreads in my Grimoire, I think!
