Gyokuto (rabbit yokai) have a strong culture of competitive flirting. For many this is done through play or real fights, and saying that you intend to fight someone can come off as innuendo in certain contexts.

these fights can even be done in a formal setting, especially in families like the usagi's who are samurai by trade. yu's oldest brother and sister definitely had exhibition matches at their wedding receptions. Its like having a first dance. but with more armor.

Yu's being dense here and means fighting normally, but everyone around him takes it to mean he's interested in leo romantically. (which is true).

When no one is there to pay the bills, and the Hidden City has more than questionable laws about population upkeep.. where else could they go, Bunnon? Plenty of Yokai would jump at the opportunity to live in the next available housing underground. Especially when there's a population spike that causes Mutants to mix in.. The Grand Nexus Hotel would be full quite quickly... and is for the elitist Yokai anyway. So yes Bunnon, to the streets they go! They will have to do better than fine to endure the unforgiving Hidden City.

I gave Yuichi a strawberry one! Strawberries in Japanese are called 「いちご」 (Ichigo), which shares the "-ichi" sound in his name. You'll have time to recover, Bunnon! So will the Usagis! Break time for everyone!

Welcome back, Gelu! (I can call you that, right?) Anon (or Bunnon) is an interesting character... I've always wanted to run a blog where Anon has their own persona, and may or may not have an effect on the story (in a CYOA kind of way) but those blogs were...... well, gone now, or scrapped ideas. I have no reason other than I simply wanted it to happen, and there MAY be.. as in POSSIBLY... a real, fanonical way that this works as well. That's a really tender maybe. Let's just say the reason Anon is part of the Usagi family is simply because Anon is an Usagi! As for the Usagi family income, some of it comes from Mizuki's family bakery. Her family isn't extremely wealthy, but they get by. Yuichi and Shuji can never seem to keep domestic jobs, but found a nice gig guarding a Yokai club owned by some small, indie gang.. Who? Oh, I think they go by the name "Masters Of Barbarianism", I'm not sure though. Never heard of them. It's been a good long-standing job for both of them, since the Hidden City doesn't have many jobs suitable for Samurai. (Specifically, Shuji and Yuichi are a bit too "extreme" for a normal job) and we're going to ignore the blatantly obvious BN and working for Big Mama (because I said so...). When Miyamoto is old enough, well... he doesn't find his samurai footing right away, so you could say his source of income is a little less honest. Nothing a bit of boisterous turtle teen energy can't fix!

...Unless it's Donnie, who would absolutely encourage it & even join in.

Q & A: 1. What do you use? I use Medibang Paint for drawing all of my pages and artwork on a Wacom Mobilestudio Pro. 2. When do you update? I don't have a schedule, and I don't intend to set one. I'm a freelance artist, this is a personal project, and I'm a full time student. I will update and post when I have time but do not expect any level of consistency. The more you ask, the less I'll want to. 3. What is this? This entire blog is a bunch of what-if's surrounding familiar characters from Usagi Yojimbo, Usagi Chronicles, and Rise of the TMNT. The main storyline from start to finish is about all Usagi characters, their backstory, and any other relevant plot points during the time of Rise, and after the movie. Basically, I took "What If Usagi In Rise?" to 4 more levels. (I'm Fine) 4. CW's | TW's ? I don't really know how to do this sort of thing, uh.....
