Fitzsimmons Appreciation Week 2021

Day 1 (22nd March) - Why do you ship Fitzsimmons?

The science babies, the bickering and they were known as a collective!!! As I science major myself, I fell in love with them instantly.  From that moment I knew they’ll be together in the end, with possibly shit tons of hurdles thrown their way, but they’ll always find each other. I just didn’t know they’d be the main ship of the show, and we got so much of their love journey on the show that I’d never dreamt of when I first saw this scene.

Fitzsimmons Appreciation Week - Day 3: Favorite Scenes/Moments

They have so many amazing scenes that I had to start selecting so this wouldn’t turn into a 20 gifs post, but if I could, almost all their scenes together would be my favorite💙

Since it is missing them hours I thought it could be fun to do a Fitzsimmons Appreciation Week.

I’m just going to do this anyway but if you want to join in I was doing to do it in a few weeks time - gives enough time to start getting some creations together :)

I’ve also hit 1K on this blog so I guess this event is a special thank you to everyone who follows me here and also on my main blog (@jemmablossom). 💚💚

I thought we could start this the week of 22nd March (that gives nearly three weeks to start creating).

The schedule I was looking to do is:

Day 1 (22nd March) - Why do you ship Fitzsimmons? - You can interpret this how you like - What are your favourite things about them? What made you ship them? When did you start shipping them? Did you see them bickering in the Pilot and go ‘yup they’re for me’ or was there a specific moment you fell in love with them?

Day 2 (23rd) - Favourite Season(s) - Create something centered around your favourite FS Season(s).

Day 3 (24th) - Favourite FS Scenes/Moments - Create something relating to your favourite FS moment(s).

Day 4 (25th) - Favourite Trope - What is your favourite FS trope?

Day 5 (26th) - Hands, Hugs or Kisses - Post about your favourites or have one of the three heavily featured in your creation.

Day 6 (27th) - Favourite Episode(s) - Create something centered around your favourite FS episode(s).

Day 7 (28th) - Song/Quote - Is there a song or quote that fits them perfectly?

Bonus Day 8 for the heck of it! (29th) - Free Choice - Go bananas!

Day 6 FitzSimmons Appreciation Week! This time with favourite episode.

Once again, I couldn’t choose just one, I cried with this four episodes (talking about FitzSimmons fluff, because I love 5x14 but it didn’t feel right at all). Isn’t it a magic set? Proposal, wedding, proposal again and their kid!

Why I ship fitzsimmons, I’ve talked about this before but the simple way they break down traditional gender roles and it’s never a thing™️ they are allowed to just exist and be like that. Fitz is a bleeding heart romantic and Jemma is a pragmatic powerhouse scientist and they get to be, it’s never looked down on or used to show weakness it’s absolute strength. I love that they go to the ends of the universe for each other, they are both in an organization that touts the many over the one but at the end of the day they choose the one over anything. It’s the grand romance of it all. They are each other’s best friend, they’ve been by each other’s side the whole damn time, and that is something worth celebrating.

Day 2 ♥ Favorite Season [Season Three]

My little contribution for FitzSimmons week :) I didn’t have the time to do something for each day so this one works for several days :D This is mostly for day five, hands, hugs, kisses because this is them holding them with a clear romantic intent for the first time <3  And since I just love everything about that scene, it also works as one of my favorite moments and my favorite season. The scene is aesthetically so lovely and it’s so them to start flirting in the middle of absolute chaos. And I just love Jemma admitting some things might inevitable when it’s really her just her wanting to hold hands with the man she’s in love with and taking the conscious decision to make things move forward. And we’ve seen so little of them flirting before they got together that I truly cherish this moment. And the looks on their faces just kills me with cuteness every time. She looks so pleased and he has the biggest heart eyes and still cannot quite believe it’s happening <3 Which is why I also to draw this specific moment!

It's the way they feel safe and find home in each other's arms for me. And Jemma's face when they hug speaks volumes, she looks so relieved. 💓
