last but not least in the Aquato family lineup, it's Queepie! you didn't forget about Queepie, did you..? (well, it's okay if you did. most people do.)

if you asked Queepie to describe himself, he'd have a hard time coming up with much interesting to say. he's a pretty unremarkable guy, all things considered. he recently started work as a fully qualified Psychonaut, and it's going... okay. he doesn't know if his heart's really in it. he likes music, but you probably haven't heard of his favourite band. he picked up journaling recently, but it's nothing special.

honestly, the most interesting thing about him is probably how he's spent the last decade living in his brother's shadow.

Queepie's not bitter - at least, he doesn't think of himself as bitter. it's not like he doesn't have his own accomplishments. he interned under Helmut Fullbear himself (after Helmut owed Raz a favour for reuniting his brain and his body). he got pretty good assessment results on his promotion to a fully-fledged Psychonaut (his brother was the youngest person ever to take on the role, but who's counting). he's still an acrobat, and he still performs with the family (but he's been slacking on his training, and his moves are getting sloppy, and when nobody calls him out on it he wonders why he ever really tried in the first place).

at 20, Queepie finds himself drifting. all of his older siblings seem to have their lives figured out. they're doing what they love, and Queepie feels like he's been left in the dust. he doesn't fit in at home - Mirtala is mom's favourite, and Dion is dad's favourite, and he's only ever been the baby of the family in comparison. Frazie's doing her own thing, and Raz - well, he's the golden child of the Psychonauts, isn't he? he's the superstar, the kid prodigy. Queepie is the other Agent Aquato.

but it's cool. he's not bitter. don't worry about it.

i’ve had a couple asks about the rest of the aquato family in FSAU. i’m still figuring out designs for the rest of them, but here are Dion and Frazie! (bonus Raz for scale. Frazie is the tallest of the sibs! Queepie is the shortest, and Mirtala is around Raz’s height.)

Dion stays with the family circus! i can’t imagine anything else for him, honestly. i like to imagine they get a little more established after the game - expand, maybe link up with some other acts. he gets a lot more confident, and basically steps into his role as Augustus’ successor (although the old man is still around and running things!)

things are... a little tense between him and Raz. they’re cordial, for sure, but i think at family gatherings there are a lot of snide comments haha. Dion still kind of sees Raz as betraying the family, and Raz is entirely done with trying to persuade him otherwise so there’s kind of a lingering animosity there.

Frazie goes through the intern program and trains at the Motherlobe for a while, but ultimately i think she decides she’s not really interested in being a Psychonaut? she really takes to the psychic stuff, though, and eventually she becomes kind of an informal field agent. she travels with the family caravan, but on the side she investigates local cryptids and psychic phenomena. i love the idea of Otto as her intern mentor (something about the Raz&Ford parallels), so she becomes kind of like his traveling informant.

she doesn’t really ‘work’ at the Motherlobe but she stops back any time the circus is in town to harass Raz
