🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?

Playing favorites is hard, I'm sure it will switch as my interests do so it feels like a cop-out to say Rin and Haru, haha. It's hard to get their speech patterns down which I've chalked up to translations, but they've got a good dynamic for both bickering and angsty things as well as soft and heartwarming things. Between the two of them I would maybe go with Haru because he's just like me fr so he comes a bit more naturally (and doesn't have to talk as much lol)

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

So far, probably Gou! I like to keep my characterizations as canon-compliant as I can, and while Gou is chronically underdeveloped she does have a pretty specific personality and patterns. I expected Isuzu to be the harder one to write but since she has so little screen time and the same everything as her brothers she was a lot easier to play with. Neither of them turned out quite how I wanted, but I definitely feel like Gou turned into a sort of different version of the character.

💎 Do you often write about a relationship or focus on an individual?

I mean in terms of general fic focus, relationships for sure. I haven't written any gen that doesn't at least have some ship lean in the end. But it's an interesting question bc I feel like my writing itself does kind of focus on the individual? I don't write as much about a relationship's dynamics or how they are together and interacting with others, I write them lost in their own heads, thinking about the other person and stewing in the past and calculating their next words and actions. I should try more "relationship from a third character perspective" and see if that challenges how I write a pairing.
