I think we feel the power swing as strong as we do because in “All Will be One” Phyrexia was fighting in his own plane, under their rules, they understanding of the plane and its magic. They were prepared for the arrival of the planeswalkers, they knew about their plan probably and had the upper hand at every moment. This is supposed to be the darkest moment.
In “War of the Machines” however we see the planes holding their ground. The initial shock of the invasion, Phyrexia looses the adventage  that is knowing the magic, the life and those who will opose you. How were the phyrexians supposed to know about the behemot of Ikoria mutating if they have never been there? You could argue “From Lukka” but he was converted and deployed in the same day... in the same vein, Norn did not let Nahiri know about angels and what threat they could be to her. (But Norn has phyrexian angels, so maybe she was over confident on that regard). This is no longer supposed to be the darkest moment, this is thepayback of Norn’s hubris and ego and the moment the multiverse says “No” to their threat.
And even so; the phyrexians did cause a lot of carnage. Nahiri converted/killed the Roil and Omnath, Boseiju was destroyed, Heliod was lost ... (im not counting the amount of lives lost or cities and infrastructure destroyed -like Strixxhaven- because people don’t seem interested in those)
I DO agree thats is very disappointing not to hear about the revolution and how Sheoldred and Urabrask were so easily ...dismantled?  I understand Sheoldred as in “All will be One” she was fighting against the Basilica and this is a direct sequel of that set, but Urabrask capture came out of nowhere (yes, I know Chandra points out the rebellion team landed on a trap. Still). And I think it would have been key to see it as the in-fighting was one of the big reasons why Phyrexia ended failing.
Why were the phyrexians brought back and then effortlessly crushed with no consequences?
I can't get into the details until after Aftermath, but "no consequences" is not remotely true.
