i get why people don't like the culling game arc because it really wasn't required for the narrative for the most part but to me most battles were so much fun!!!!! i think it was way more enjoyable than the school tournament arc meanwhile shinjuku showdown is soooo important for the story but like ... it was kinda boring for the most part
#from my memories I just really hated the maki one because we really REALLY didn't need that guy to teach her whatever#i do like the concept of maki / kamo jr team up#i don't have much hope for a satisfying ending anymore but i do hope that compared to other shonen mangas gege will not#do the whole all social structures we criticised along the way are still there we just put in “good” guys so it's fine#meaning in this case the dissolution of the big three clans#like get me the maki+megumi kamo jr and yuuta in gojo's body meet up#anyway yes culling game#people hate on megumi but megumi vs reggie was soooo much fun and creative#itadori vs higuruma#hakari's domain#sendai colony my belovedddddd yuuta just kissing that fucking insect and his no bitches 🥺 face#jjk

It may have already been said somewhere and I just missed it, but how long was the partial custody for Megumi with the Zenins? I assumed it was once a month for a couple years, but I guess it also could’ve been every weekend (poor Megumi)
Maki remembered it as one weekend a month, but she was also like, six or seven when the Zenin still had partial custody, and whenever I have the memories come through that kind of haze of age, I always have them be kind of hit or miss in its accuracy. For example, Maki remembered Megumi as being five, but he was actually six when the arrangement started.
It started as one weekend per month at the beginning, which is how Maki remembers it--that was the number that the clan leadership brought to everyone else when they finally got Gojo to agree to partial custody, and the number that people bitched about and celebrated in turn whenever they were pissed that they only had him for a weekend a month or thrilled that they finally got some kind of time with him. If you ask Maki what the arrangement was, she would say it was one weekend per month.
In my mind, that's not an entirely accurate number. And it was mostly because the Zenin were constantly, constantly pushing their luck to get more time with him.
There was more than one time where they'd refuse to hand Megumi back over unless it was gojo personally come to retrieve him. Gojo was the only one who had the firepower to actually force them to give Megumi back--if he wasn't there and they wanted more time, then they'd just. Keep Megumi. And it wouldn't be until Gojo pulled himself away from his missions and showed up to personally pick him up that they'd suddenly cooperate again. If Gojo was out of contact or just too busy to get there--and the Zenin would ask their contacts in the higher ups to make sure he was--then they'd get a few extra days with him.
Which is another one of the reasons why Megumi's relationship with the adults suffered so badly during this time in his life. From his perspective, he was barely hanging on by a thread and struggling through each day with the Zenin, and he'd finally, finally get to the end of the weekend, and Naoya would come up and tell him that Gojo hadn't bothered to send anyone to pick him up and that they'd get to keep him all week. It would crush him every time.
But in reality, Nanami would be parked right outside of the Zenin compound, having arrived early to get him, pissed as hell and fuming on the phone through this endless phone tree of assistants trying to get Gojo on the line so that he could come back to get Megumi himself, because the Zenin wouldn't even so much as let him through the front door.
Back then, the trio were just young and easy to take advantage of and were honestly, really, desperately trying to make this somehow work. They had no idea how bad it was for Megumi on the Zenin compound and didn't want him to just. fucking hate this people that they assumed he'd build some kind of relationship with. They'd always downplay how fucking pissed they were at his family too, because they were trying to keep it together for the sake of the kid, who actually didn't want it together to begin with. So when they finally got him back, and Megumi asked why no one had come to get him, they'd never say "Your shithead bio family wouldn't goddamn give you back when we first showed up and Gojo had to threaten to rip Naobito's spine out his asshole so they'd let us take you home this time," it'd always be something like "You know, bud, your family really, really wanted to spend a little bit more time with you" or "Your family only wants Gojo to pick you up and Gojo was just really busy this time."
Eventually, Megumi stopped asking. He had already decided that they didn't care enough about him to come. He didn't need them to say it out loud.
In my mind, Megumi's pride is something that's always been very important to him. And I don't mean that he's prideful--it's that he knows what it's like to be kicked when he's down, but he won't give them the goddamn satisfaction of making him cry too. It's about maintaining dignity. He has no intimation about whether he can win every fight, but they won't get him to fucking beg for mercy when he loses it. Even when he was facing up against Sukuna, he never once begged for mercy or let him see him flinch.
In my mind, a lot of that was born during this time of Megumi's life. He was in a scenario where he was helpless and afraid. He asked for help, and he didn't get it, and that cut him deeper than anything the Zenin ever did to him. So he wasn't going to repeat mistakes. He wasn't going to ask for help that was. not. coming. So the Zenin keeping him past when custody was agreed to was another thing he just sort of started swallowing and not fighting on when it kept happening, which made the teen parenting trio think he didn't mind as much when it happened, which made them a little bit more lax when it came to the zenin overstepping. If megumi hated it there, he'd make more of a fuss when he had to stay longer, wouldn't he? He'd say something instead of just quietly getting in the car. And they were all so busy with missions that it was hard to die on the same hill every time pickup rolled around.
Like. Fuck. Gojo was staying up for a week straight by official design because he had so many missions that he legitimately didn't have time for sleep scheduled in it. This was the kind of mission load he got more and more whenever the Zenin's monthly visitation weekend rolled around, because the Zenin were pulling strings to keep him busy. Nanami showed up on time to do pickup, got turned away at the door, spent three hours on the phone trying to get someone to tell the Zenin to give him the fucking kid back, all while fielding hacked off phone calls from assistants trying to get his ass to go on his own missions. They had Tsumiki at home losing her goddamn mind because they promised her that her brother would be back today and he wasn't and they needed to figure out who was managing her while the trio were all off on their own jobs (because while they had somehow not died in a house fire when Toji left them on their own for months they all quickly learned that a seven year old really really should not be left on her own for a week), and forcing the Zenin to give Megumi back meant that they needed to make arrangements for him too. things slipped.
Like. I want to be clear, the teen parenting trio failed majorly around this time, but they failed because they were specifically set up to fail by adults who were dedicating all of their time to tearing them apart. There's this like, entire saga back then with how they were manipulated and how this got so bad that lives in my head that only comes in through as patchwork in the text of sea glass gardens itself. the audience only sees the effects and how bad it got, and in retrospect, it seems obvious that the Zenin never should have gotten any time alone with megumi, especially if they're pulling shit like refusing to give megumi back when their time with him is up.
But it's like this:
They each have twenty four hours in the day to use. Let's assume eight needs to be for sleep. That leaves sixteen hours in the day to fit in food, personal errands, missions, studies, hobbies, and taking care of Tsumiki and Megumi.
So the Zenin would say, great, make sure they have seventeen hours worth of missions on the day that they're meant to get Megumi.
Nanami wouldn't get quite the same treatment as Gojo. It would be more obvious with Nanami since he could never manage at the same level as Gojo, and he'd make sure that no one scheduled him for missions when he was supposed to be collecting Megumi.
But they would schedule him immediately before. And immediately after. And it's impossible to tell when missions end for certain, because it depends on how fast he finishes the fight. Now he's rushing to be there on time for Megumi. He can't just send Ijichi or Shoko--they're already refusing him half the time, they'll just laugh if they send a noncombatant to get Megumi--and there's already higher ups trying to divert his fucking car onto the next mission because he's late for that.
If they don't give him Megumi, that's hours of trying to get ahold of Gojo, because he accidentally destroys phones like they're made of soap bubbles, and it's fucking hard to figure out where he even is in the world in that moment. More likely than not, he's going to have to leave and come back tomorrow, where he has another fifteen-sixteen-seventeen hours worth of missions going on tomorrow. He already lost three hours to trying to get Megumi. With the seventeen hours worth of missions, that's twenty hours in his day gone, and he's got four hours to what--sleep? He hasn't even finished his commute yet, let alone getting food, showering, getting Tsumiki in order--
The Zenin giving him Megumi when he asks means he needs to get Megumi home. He needs to make sure there's groceries in the house. He needs to make sure that Megumi has his toothbrush and doesn't need any bandaids and drank enough water recently. Just chatting about Megumi's day with him represents resources--time, energy, mental space--that Nanami's on extremely short supply of.
Gojo, meanwhile, doesn't get seventeen hours worth of missions--he gets thirty hours worth of missions to cram into a twenty-four hour day. He's gojo satoru. he'll figure it out. And he gets that workload every single day in his week. There's a lot of curses, and only one him. They're desperate. There's a huge influx of curses, and a personnel crises, and if the ends don't meet then people die. He's the only special grade that even does missions anymore. People needs him to make it work, and he doesn't really need sleep anyway. He can handle the load, because he's gojo fucking satoru and can do what no one else can.
Getting the phone call that the Zenin refused to return Megumi again means he has to travel back from wherever the hell he is in the world, go to the Zenin compound, knock on the door, tell them to give him back his fucking kid, only for them to immediately return him with minimal grumbling when they were telling Nanami three hours ago that he'd need a tank and an army to so much get them to open the door. He's got a million and one things to do, and he knows that if he makes the trip all the way back to get Megumi, all he's going to be doing is walking him from the Zenin compound to the car. It takes the wind out of his sails. It feels like task that anyone could do even if they'll only technically cooperate for him, so it has this manufactured sense of being a waste of time.
It frayed their already thin nerves even farther, because Gojo started feeling like he has to do everything and Nanami felt frustrated with himself and Gojo because it's impossible when he does it but the Zenin comply as soon as Gojo flies back from the other side of the goddamn world just to do a custody pick up. And then all the other little things that are falling apart--like the fact that they need to get groceries, the fact that neither Megumi nor Tsumiki have done their homework for Monday and also they're out of toothpaste--build into a huge, exhausting burden when they'd normally be nonissues.
If Megumi's with the Zenin, he's in a secure location where they know he has food. They know that there's adults there making sure he's eating, sleeping, isn't running into traffic, etc. Fuck, the issue is that they're too attentive to him--they want to keep him and take care of him for even longer.
And Megumi doesn't seem to mind. He stopped asking them to pick him up on time weeks ago.
The Teen Parenting Trio were out of their minds with exhaustion, felt like everything was falling apart, and the fact that the Zenin kept violating the custody agreement just... almost seemed to solve more problems than it caused. If they fought it, it would mean endless hours of more work for them, when they were already too busy to even get proper sleep. If they just let them get in a few more days, then they knew Megumi was getting three square meals and had adult supervision. It means they don't have to pick up groceries, because they have enough for one kid but not too. It's less toothpaste they have to buy and less meals they have to prepare, and they were just so goddamn tired that they couldn't do that stuff to begin with.
The Zenin would sometimes get more than a weekend because they would bend over backwards to make the Teen Parenting Trio too overwhelmed to force them to give Megumi back after a weekend. On the weekends where they were set to get Megumi, they would just take all or most of their clan off the roster entirely and push their workload onto gojo and, to a much lesser extent, nanami. They would arrange circumstances to make them frustrated with each other and at each other's throats instead of showing a united front. They were a lot of very experienced, very manipulative adults putting 100% of their effort towards breaking a group of grieving teenagers, and they succeeded in a lot of ways.
Megumi just started shutting down after he didn't get help when he first asked, so the teen parenting trio didn't realize how bad it was for him there, but the visits that went long were always the worst for him. A part of him would always worry that they were never coming back. The Zenin would always tell him that they hadn't come because they didn't care about him or didn't want him because he had misbehaved, so he'd constantly feel like he was on the verge of losing tsumiki and being trapped there forever.
Megumi never, ever has admitted it to anyone, but he still has nightmares about being trapped in the Zenin compound without a way out, even with all the years buffering them. He doesn't want to tell Gojo or his sister. He hates that he's fifteen and still having nightmares of them. He always told himself that Gojo had kept his word and that there was nothing the Zenin could do to get past Gojo, so there was nothing they could do to force him back there.
This last week felt a lot like being trapped in one of those nightmares.
When Megumi was a kid, there were a few very rare times that Gojo let Zenin have him more than once a month. Which, again--in hindsight, he can't believe he ever did that. He hates himself for it sometimes. In the moment, though, it made sense. They'd always give him back to Nanami without a fight if Gojo caved and let them have him twice a month instead of once. It was less of a headache to give them a couple extra days in the month than fight them for a week about returning him on time. There were a few anniversaries and events that were important to the clan that they kicked up a huge fuss about getting Megumi for as well, and this was nominally supposed to improve clan relations. Fuck it, letting them have Megumi for the anniversary of whatever was the sort of compromise Yaga said they were supposed to be making.
For the most part, it was one weekend a month. That was the original agreement. that was what it was always supposed to be. But there were a few months that it was two or three times a month. There were a few times it was for a week instead of a weekend. And the Zenin were constantly fighting for more time.
I never set in stone a definitive amount of time that the arrangement went on. In my mind, it went on for around a year and a half before the Zenin overstepped and they had to go no contact, but I'm not married to it. It's nebulous.
#sea glass gardens#the zenin really really just hit megumi with all of his vulnerabilities at once#they really did hurt him in a way that is hard for him to verbalize#megumi spent his childhood stuck on that compound trying to run down the clock until gojo would come get him and terrified that he#wouldn't come or that megumi wouldn't make it that long#now he's fifteen and he feels like he's six again and he knows that he cannot run down this clock#gojo isn't going to get him in time. he is not going to make it.#he was so scared of dying in that fucking compound as a kid and he thought that it was finally happening#really the only thing that could hurt him worse than what the zenin have already done was to find out that they “love” him#he just could not take that right now#he feels like the monsters under his bed just crawled out and dug their teeth into him and the only consolation is that that's what monster#do. you don't expect more from them. at least it's predictable.#if you tell them that the zenin did it because they loved him all along it would just break him. they are the worst thing that ever happene#to him. they have hurt him more profoundly than anyone else alive. and they cannot goddamn tell him they did it out of love.

jujutsu kaisen chs 235,236 spoliers!
no but like i truly believe he actually forgot a chapter
you cant tell me otherwise why the heck in chapter 235 gojo was winning and then in ch 236 out of NOWHERE he's in heaven. it doesn't make any fucking sense
this is how 235 ends:
gojo just released purple on sukuna destroying everything in its path, including himself, he healing slowly but steady, and sukuna on the verge of death, without a single hope of winning. everyone else is so sure that gojo won that they arent doubting the fight, they have 100% trust that gojo already won, without any but's or if's.
and THEN 236 starts like this:
at first i thought it was a memory, but then gojo brings up the comment that dying was something to do alone, and I thought it was an hallucination or something like that, but then EVERY SINGLE DEAD PERSON THAT WAS CLOSE TO GOJO started to appear telling him that it was just damn time for him to finally die. Then gojo brings up the bullshit that he didn't do anything to protect the others, that he only did it for fun, to not be bored anymore, to finally fight with an opponent without holding back because he was the strongest and blah blah blah and I was certain it was bullshit. that man right there wasn't gojo it was someone else and gege was trying to get us off balance, something like a distorted reality or mixed thoughts that arent quite true and all that, but then they throw me this on the face:
and we dont fucking know what shit happened. think about it: gojo's winning, sukuna almost dies, there's a very suspicious scene on the airport with teen gojo and everyone who he cared in his teenage years, and now he's dead, half body lying on the ground with a smirking sukuna declaring how the hell he won the match. IT DOESNT MAKE FUCKING SENSE. WERE WAS THE BATTLE? WERE WAS THE ACTION? WERE WAS EVERYONE ELSE COMMENTING THE SHIT THAT WAS HAPPENING? alright, it might have been a surprise attack, BUT WITH WHAT FUNDAMENTS DID SUKUNA ATTACKED??? there are too many plotholes in just these fifteen pages alone and I need answers. there is no need for a great explanation, I just needed a one single panel with the worried expressions of everyone who was watching, screaming even, for gojo who was in danger. if it was really a sneak attack and gojo couldn't see it, at least everyone else did, but noooooo they just showed us maki and yuta holding back themselves from literally murdering sukuna, and that was during sukuna's speech. where was higuruma's, yuji's, hakari's, miwa's, hajime's, ANYONE'S REACTION. JUST ONE WAS ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT SOMETHING BAD WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.
another thing that had been bugging me: sukuna was fucking dyyiiing how the fuck did he healed himself if he didn't have enough cursed energyyyy reallyyy this is fucking insaaneeee, there are tooooo many plothollesss I insist. And then there's that, fucking piece of information, that sukuna "was holding back".... my dude, he was LOSING. i don't know if it just came to gege's mind that, "oh i hate gojo so much i cant keep writing this fight its giving me nausea, i know, lets fucking kill him so i don't have to see him again, yey!" ...... I'm sorry that's not how gege thinks. he may hate gojo but he KNOWS he's important for the story, otherwise he would have him gone a looooong time ago, i mean have you seen all the bullshit sad backstories he gives to this man?? the divorce?? the fushiguros???? yuta and mika????? itadori??????? shoko, utahime, masamichi, the elders??????? the DEPT that this man carries???? gege might hate gojo, but lets not forget that he is a well written character. and that also makes me overthink a little about the very first chapters of the manga, when yuji asks gojo if he can defeat sukuna, AND JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK HE RESPONDS??
EXACTLY!! HE WOULD WIN! so that was a fucking lie, gojo was keeping yuji safe from wondering, or gege is planning something sick (there's also the option of gege just forgetting it, but for the sake of my mental health I wont elaborate on that) there are still things I do not understand and I NEED gege to explain.
also, there is this things that keeps coming to my head: sukuna isn't the type of sorcerer to brag about his power, like gojo did before, he releases his power when he needs it, and with the cards he's given. with itadori he couldn't do much because yuji could control him so the little things he did was due to the circumstances, like when yuji asked for help, he didn't want to help but the curse wanted to fight so sukuna killed the curse, then he ASKS YUJI TO RETURN TO THE CONTROL like damn that man has matters. and then, when jogo makes yuji eat the other ten fingers, he's overpower and starts to do whatever he wants because he has been in yuji's control way too much, and after he defeats jogo, who willingly wanted to fight sukuna, he literally gives yuji the control of the body again. it might be to lower yuji's motivations but still, he took advantage of the momentum to move on with his plan. another time he took the opportunity was when yuji died and made the contract that allowed him in the shibuya incident take control of fushiguro's body. this guy is smart, and he doesn't waste opportunities, so I can see him winning the battle. we all know by now that he did in fact won the battle, but we don't know with what kind of plan or tricks did he do it. i still don't buy the thing with mahoraga
i feel like it's something else, something is missing, then again there isn't enough information, probably lost on the chapter gege forgot to release.
THE FACT THAT THIS MOMENT ALONE MADE ME SCREAM INTO THE VOID. and it wasn't because gojo was dead, neither because sukuna gave him the credit he deserved, NO, its because gojo's smiling, he's FUCKING SMILING. that man doesn't want to fight anymore, its written all over the page, that man is tired, satisfied, and is hallucinating. and the fact that I can see that is what makes me scream. WHAT ABOUT FUSHIGURO MAN, ARE YOU JUST GONNA LET HIM DIE IN THE PIT OF DARKNESS HE'S IN?!! WHAT ABOUT THE PROMISE BRO WTF I know you didn't like Toji, but you got way too close with the kid you wanted to protect him you wanted him to live DUDE. he's just gonna leave all the work to the others, he wants to rest, he doesn't want to do anything with curses or sorcerers or anything like that, he will LEAVE them alone helpless because gojo was their last hope he was the strongest the only one who could win against the king of curses damn it aaaallll.
and THAT just makes me think... what are the others thinking? the only reactions we got from the last chapter were from maki, yuta, yuji and hajime, and they're veeeeery different
LOOK VERY CLOSELY TO THEM
yuta is fucking angry and worried and obviously scared, but still grabs his katana so anxious as he wants to go to the battlefield. maki is holding him back, with a more steady and severe expression, because she knows they cant defeat sukuna. the background around them is dark and still meaning they're still in the same place, holding back and waiting for the next move. yuji's expression is fucking scared, he's worried and he's sweating, and I'm certain he's trying not to cry, his background is moving which can mean he's moving to the battlefield even if he knows he's going to die, no one is holding him back which can mean either they are letting him go (such a shitty friends really) or haven't noticed he's gone. and hajime Is already IN the battlefield. that slash that cut gojo in two had enough time for him to move from wherever they were into the battlefield and he's EXCITED HE'S SMILING LIKE THE FUCKING IDIOT HE IS idk if he will be able to win against sukuna given the fact that he literally killed gojo, but oh well...
this is madness, i need the forgotten chapter
let me know about other things you notice too pleasssseeee
this also gave me A LOT of things to think about, like what will happen with itadori and his powers and all the rage he has and all the dead people he has seen and... well, all the tragedy
i might as well post something about itadori, we'll see
#this is fucking insane#i KNOW i blab way too much#but i cant help but think about it#there.was.another.chapter#and gege forgot to release it#i higly believe that and nothing will change my mind#there's a possilibity that he just wants to confuse us#there are more than one possibility that gege's just messing with us with all of the missing chapter#but there are way too many plotholes OOMMMGGGG#ANYWAY#i think i will to a post about itadori but that will take some time so maybe next week when I do have time#or the next after that#idk#jujutsu kaisen#jujutsu kaisen manga#jujutsu kaisen ch 235#jujutsu kaisen ch 236#itadori yuuji#gojo satoru#sukuna#ryoumen sukuna#maki zenin#okkotsu yuuta#hajime kashimo#gege akutami#suguru geto#gege im gonna kill you#fenikorg talks

Mireya's Thoughts on Suginami Division
Ryuko Umemoto
"I'll admit, I didn't recognize this guy until my husband revealed he was part of the Yakuza group a few years ago who was trying to shut us down. Normally, being part of any sort of gang would be enough for me to despise you. I've little love for gang violence, Yakuza, or anything in-between. As I mentioned before, Kito Sakura over in Shizuoka is about as much as I can take, and that's mainly due to Reika-san."
"Anyway, like I said, being a Yakuza is enough for me to dislike you normally. ...But strangely enough, I don't feel that way about this guy. I don't know if it's because of his older brother, who's one of my son's teachers, or if it's because he's turned his life around and is no longer part of that life. I'll admit, when Kai told me he was an animator now, I had to do a double-take. A Yakuza-turned-animator? Sounds too good to be true. But when he showed me some of the work he's done, I had to admit, he had talent."
"So... yeah, like I said, I'm glad this guy has made the decision to turn his life around. I'm not saying I care for him or his past, and I certainly wouldn't invite him over for dinner. But it's good that that was just one dark part of his life. Hopefully, things will get better for him."
Maki Umemoto
"I've only met Maki-san a few times at several PTA meetings. Zakari tells me that, much like Rosho-sensei, he doesn't really do well with crowds, unfortunately. Of course, I'm not going to demean either man because of their shortcomings. So long as they manage to give my son the modicum of education he needs to succeed in society, then I've no problem with either of them."
Shuu Edogawa
"Ugh, my husband has far greater patience than me when it comes to this loathsome individual. When I received word that he was snooping around my club for the past week and a half, I knew something about him wasn't right. Eventually, I had enough and had security bring him to my office where my husband and I confronted him. I demanded to know why he was skulking around, and he revealed that he was a private investigator, which confirmed my suspicions."
"In case you didn't get it, I have a deep loathing for any sort of investigator, detective, generally, anyone who goes around snooping where they don't belong. Why? Because ever since I was young, I've had to put up with these individuals my entire life thanks to my mother. Almost every month she paid top dollar for these guys to come and do detective work on each one of her ex's, to see if they were cheating on her or not. It was... it was just a waste of privacy to have those guys come in and inspect everything. It was one of the things I hated about my life, and my mother." Mireya shakes her head.
"Anyway, apparently he was searching for a lost teenage girl who her mother had hired to bring her back. Hearing the girl cry about not wanting to return home because she found her home life stifling and her mother, overbearing... well, it brought back a lot of memories from my own childhood. I paid that pink-haired investigator twice as much as his client was offering him and told him to leave the girl and her boyfriend alone. I also warned him not to show his face in my club again unless it was for 'entertainment purposes only'. If not, he was going to be denied at the door."
"I haven't seen hide nor tail of that wretch since then. And I am not at all sad about that."
Sazanka Zombeez
"Much like my husband said, I'm not sure exactly what to say about this team. They're original, especially as far as their name goes, but... well, they're original, as I said. As for the members: I'm neutral when it comes to the leader, and Maki-sensei seems to be alright. But that investigator of theirs? I'm not sparing him nothing if we meet in this tournament. Nothing personal, but consider everything I say and do to you my way of releasing all my pent-up frustration from people like you have caused me and others throughout my childhood."

____________________________
Damn Junpei!
Yuji wasn't too far off when he said Juni would be making a house. He didn't actually build one but his tent was shaped like a small home..
You could hear all the guys struggling to take everything off the bus. You didn't see why you had to make 3 stops just so they could buy cases of alcohol.. You even told all of them that someone was going to die and tried to put a few bottles of vodka back on the shelves.
But Gojo ended up playing sugar daddy with your snacks so you shut up... Fly high to whomever would get alcohol poisoning. (Your money was on Gojo or Sukuna.. Hell, probably both.)
You just had to..
"Hey Junpei?"
He looked up at you while he was tying his tent down. "Hm?"
"Can I look inside? This shit looks awesome!"
That sheepish smile lit up his face. "Yes! I spent all morning putting it up."
..... It was like that scene in Harry Potter, you know when the boy who lives walks into that shaggy looking tent, only for it to be a full blown house?
Nobara and Maki are gonna hate you. But the second Junpei walked in with a small portable AC unit...
"Heyyyy Junpei.. you know you're my favorite man of all time right?"
He raised a bow. "I thought that was Megumi?"
You snorted. "Of course not! It's always been you! But I have a favor to ask?"
He chuckled. "Sure. You can sleep with me.. I brought a bigger mattress because I thought Yuji would be staying with me. But fuck him, he doesn't have tits."
".... You're such a gentleman. I just might let you squeeze one."
"YES!"
-----------------
Maki clicked her tongue. Nobara stared you down while you helped Geto set up the fire pit.
(Maki) "Traitor."
(Nobara) "We all promised to sleep in the same tent. Now we have to deal with Yuji! He farts in his sleep!"
You shrugged and smiled at them. "I'm sorry, really. But Junpei has a memory foam mattress...."
Both their eyes went wide. In unison. "Bullshit! He dose not?!"
You crossed your heart while Maki snorted. "Shit, you're forgiven then.."
Nobara nodded. "I would have ditched you both so fast too if I had known that."
"You do know when you fuck on memory foam you sweat more? It also makes a weird crunching noise when you're fucking. Like your chewing on a snow cone.."
The three of you looked at Geto. He stuck out his tongue and shrugged. "What? I just thought you all should know--" he than turned to you. "Wait. Is your man going to be okay with you sleeping in another dudes bed? I heard he was a piece of work."
Nobara rolled her eyes and answered before you could. "They broke up." With her man like strength she slapped your back. "Y/n's in her hoe era now. That's why she's been eye fucking Sukuna."
Geto shook his head. "Out of all people? You do know Sukuna doesn't even know how to spell Orange.. He thinks the color and the fruit are spelled differently."
You huffed. " Okay, I know he's not the smartest... But he's so prudy!"
He looked off to the side to see Sukuna with Gojo, they were a few feet away and crouching.. They looked like they were looking at bugs or something on the ground. "Actually, me and Gojo are looking for another girlfriend.. I'd like to have you be--"
Maki cut him off this time. He had to be lying.. you didn't need anymore cheating men in your life.. "Aren't you two still dating Shelby? Don't try to rope Y/n into your weird sex cult shit."
Geto gave her a deadpanned look. "It's not a cult! And for your information, I don't like Shelby that much. She's only in it for Gojo. He agreed to break it off when I found someone I liked.. and--" he sighed before he turned to yell at his boyfriend?.. "Gojo! Why did you pick Shelby again?!"
The white haired loser looked up from the ant hill and smiled. "She reminds me of Sid from Ice Age! Why?!"
Geto yelled back. "I'm trying to get another girlfriend!"
Gojo tilted his head. "You're shooting your shot with two lesbians and a taken woman?! You're beautiful babe, but I don't think you're pretty enough to turn them or make that one commit adultery!"
"They broke up!"
Could Gojo teleport? Because as soon as Geto said those three words, Gojo was by your side..
"Uh...?"
Before you could scoot yourself away your face was in his titties. He smelt nice, but you couldn't really breathe with the death grip he had on you.
"Y/n! Why didn't you come to me! We'll take care of you! Fuck Shelby! You can sleep between me and Geto! We cou-"
Maki slapped the back of his head. "Let her go! She didn't agree to it! And you can't just drop girls like They're not human!. This Shelby chick might hold a grudge and try to hurt OUR Y/n!"
Why was everyone so loud?! All the poor animals were probably going deaf.
-------------------
The fire pit was ready... After a few hours of dealing with Gojo. You told them both you'd think about it. Right now you just need time to have fun before trying to be in some kind of "relationship" again. Of course the white haired one whined but Geto told you to take your time. Gojo still needed to RESPECTFULLY call it quits with his sloth anyways..
You and Megumi started walking around the area. Collecting sticks to start the fire with. Your sad bunny was gone off his ass, he had been eating small pieces of the cookies. You didn't blame him since he was being followed by Mahito for a good while. Thankfully Choso needed his help with something..
A small beep came from his pocket. You watched him try to read the screen before he handed his phone to you.
"Does that say duck or dick?"
It was a picture from Toge. You snorted when you saw Panda passed out in the sand.
"Toge said Panda almost got his dick bit off by a shark."
(Panda is human in this one. Just imagine a big burly dude...)
Megumi chuckled.. He looked up with a dazed look, then he took a deep breath and chuckled again.
"I almost forgot how to breathe.."
You snorted and continued your search. "How are you getting signal out here?"
Megumi shrugged. "It's not like how they show it in the movies and TV shows. You still get service out here. It's just a little shitty so you need to move around."
Good to know. You've never really been camping before. You figured nothing would work so you turned off your phone and threw it into one of your bags. Good thing too because a few messages would have ruined your fun..
Especially after Gojo snuck a few pictures of you with Geto laughing together, Sukuna looking at your ass when you were bending over, and Yuji wearing your bra on his head... He posted them to his Instagram, Gojo had so many followers and the likes just kept building up.
With A small pile of sticks in your arms and one in Megumi's. (He said it was a magic stick that would keep him from floating away. As long as he didn't let it go, he'd be safe.)
When you returned to the campsite, Megumi went straight to his tent. He wanted to take a quick power nap since the music that was playing was giving him a headache. (There was no music.)
You looked around and noticed Nobara and Maki were gone. Geto was still by the fire pit, But now he was with Choso and Mahito. They all were digging into one of the many ice chest to see what Yuji (Junpei) packed to eat.
"Where's Maki and Nobara?"
Mahito sighed. "They went to go look at the lake. It's almost sunset so we just left them alone... Let them carpet munch in the warm glowing light of the sun..."
"Aww, That sounds romantic. Good for them."
Mahito laughed while the other two shook their heads.
How was It was already getting dark? It actually took you all day just to get the area ready? This small group really shouldn't be left outdoors... You didn't even get enough wood to keep the fire pit going.. The boogie man was going to have an easy dinner tonight...
"This is all we could find on the ground. But I think Junpei brought some multipurpose tools? He probably has something that we could use to cut a few more branches down."
Choso nodded his head, motioning for you to turn around. "You're good. I think those three got it."
You turned... Your eyes landed on Junpei first. He was sitting on the ground with a worried look on his face.
You weren't sure why he looked like that. Untill you heard grunting.. How was it that these two haven't killed themselves on accident yet?
Gojo was climbing a tree and trying to kick some twigs down. Yuji was under Gojo trying to catch the falling branches. One of them almost speared his eye...
"Are they stupid?"
You all flinched when the branch under Gojo gave out. He only fell a few inches before his daddy long legs got caught on another branch. His body swung back and forth as he laughed..
"That was a close one! Yuji, Did I knock more branches down?!"
You on the other hand were freaking out. He was still a few feet off the ground and hanging upsidedown! He could fall and break his neck!
"Geto. Should we help him down? He's going to hurt himself."
He looked up. "Eh, if he hits his head there won't be that much damage. He has a thick skull.." he yelled out to Gojo. "Baby! Get the branches at the top!"
Gojo twisted his body to look at Geto. He gave him a thumbs up before trying to pull himself up right... He fell. Not on his neck but his back, it looked like it hurted.
Geto clicked his tongue. "Damn, now he's going to act like a baby when we go to bed."
You all watched something stupid happen again. Sakuna had ran into the tree and flew back. What was this other dumbass doing?
Gojo and Yuji laughed. Junpei just looked lost, but he was clapping? Just trying to be the supportive friend.
"Okay? What's that one doing?"
(Mahito) "He's trying to knock the tree down." He cupped his hands around his mouth. "Go farther this time! It almost tipped over!"
The tree didn't even shake...
Sakuna flipped him off but started running the other way... He just needed one more running start. He could feel it!
(Geto) "That's the dude you wanna get dicked down by? If he accidentally gets you pregnant, your kids are going to eat crayons for sure."
You looked at him before looking back at Gojo. He was still laying on the ground... Yuji was trying to get him up.
You all heard a long fart come from Gojo before Yuji dropped him.
(Choso) "That sounded loose.."
(Mahito) "You really need to take it easy on his ass Geto. His entrails are going to fall out of his butthole."
You snorted when Gojo got up and tried to run into the tree like Sukuna was doing. It'll definitely fall now!
"Geto... you're judging me? Look at your man. He's actually humping the tree now.."
Geto rolled his eyes. "Shut up, that might be your man one day too."
-----------
The sky was now a light blue.. Nobara and Maki finally came back from the lake. They both claimed they were looking for a good spot for everyone to go swimming tomorrow.
No one bought it.. especially since Nobara was as red as a tomato and Maki's hair was pulled out of her usual ponytail.
(Gojo) "I can smell pussy on your breath..."
You and Mahito choked on your marshmallows.(He promised that he wouldn't pull out any spiders tonight) Megumi slapped the back of Gojo's head while Geto was telling him to punch the big mouth next time.
(Maki) "Jealous?"
(Yuji, Sukuna, Geto and Choso) "Yes."
You were about to ask Sukuna if he wanted to see the inside of Junpei's tent. But Gojo must have sensed it and suddenly stood up from the ice chest he was sitting on.
"Alright, now that we're all FINALLY here... I wanna play a game!"
Everyone groaned, except for Yuji. The younger twin perked up and tried to peak at what Gojo was trying to dig out of the chest.
He gasped. "What the fuck is that?!"
Gojo pulled out a heavy looking bottle. The bottle looked familiar but you couldn't remember where you've seen it...
Then it hit you. The frosted glass and the round-ish shape. The red and black lettering... You knew you all were in trouble when you noticed the menacing looking skull wearing a sombrero.
"Gojo... That's not what I think it is?"
He smiled at you. "Yepp. Vodquila!"
*War flashbacks*
You felt the vile go up your throat. No you've never tasted it, but you remember the smell of Nanami's throw up.
The memory was way back in highschool. You found him stumbling in the halls looking for Ijichi and Yu. He recognized you as one of Yuji's friends and proceeded to tell you a drunk rant about a girl from his gym class offering him a drink of her Gatorade. It was 80% Vodquila and 20% lime margarita mix.
Without warning... Nanami projectile vomited straight onto your chest. The smell of alcohol and the school's pizza will forever haunt your nose.
To this day Nanami can't look you in the eyes. He still apologizes and gives you small gifts here and there. (Buys you lunch or coffee) You've told him over and over again it was fine and you forgave him. The man just felt so bad... And hey, free food!
***
Before you knew it, Gojo held a small red shot glass infront of your face. You weren't really listening to the rules..
"What?"
His shoulders drop. "You weren't paying attention to me? Y/nnnn. That hurts.."
You slowly grabbed the cup. "Uh.. sorry? I was zoning out, my sugars high from all those marshmallows."
Gojo gasped. "Babe! You have dialysis?"
Was he drunk already?
Yuji scoffed. "You mean diabetes, idiot! And no she's fine."
(Mahito) "Probably just disassociated from reality because you have an annoying voice."
Gojo's neck snapped to Mahito. "Say that again you gray bitch."
*Gasp* "fuck you! You know I'm sensitive about my skin condition! You're paler than me! Fucking underdone cracker!"
(Yuji) "All this gasping is giving me flashbacks to that mime porn video I saw yesterday..."
(You & Megumi) "They have mime porn?!"
"It's a trip! I'll show you guys later."
Geto had enough, mainly because he was thirsty. "Okay. Everyone just shut up and Gojo, sit your flat ass down." He looked at you. "And you. Listen this time.. Truth or dare. Only difference is, if you don't answer your truth it's two shots. If you don't do your dare, it's three. We all take one shot now because nobody wants to play with pussies. Got it?"
You nodded. "Yes daddy. Anything you say."
*Sukuna choking on air.*
Geto winked at you and motioned for everyone to take their shot. It burned like hell and made your eyes water. You weren't much of a drinker so you already felt a numbing tingle travel through your body and stop at your finger tips.
Gojo turned to Junpei. "Truth or Dare?"
Poor Junpei wasn't expecting to go first. He looked at everyone with a wide eye. "Uhh, Dare? No! Truth. I want truth please?"
Gojo didn't even need a second to think. He's had questions lined up for days now. "Tell us your most embarrassing sex story. And no, it can't be something tame, like you farted in her face and gave her pink eye or something. Borrring!"
It took Junpei a minute...
Gojo was already pouring his shots, thinking that Junpei was a saint and never actually had sex before.. Oh he was so wrong..
"Uh, well.. It was in highschool. I was dating her for a while now. Yuji and Y/n actually introduced us! Um, one day her parents went out of town and she invited me over.. I had some mean ass braces back then.."
You knew where this story was going. Your clam cooter started to hurt..
Junpei continued. "I didn't really know how to, you know... Eat a girl out? She told me she'd help me practice. I was getting the hang of it but I guess it wasn't enough. She started grinding her pussy on my mouth and... Her beef curtains got snagged on my braces."
The cricket and the fire crackling were drowned out but everyone's laughter. All except for you, Maki, and Nobara. You've told them this story already and it hurt just to imagine being in the poor girls spot.
(Gojo) *wheeze.* "She had that crabby patty double deluxe huh?"
Junpei nodded while Sukuna caught his breath.. "Go on? Is her pussy still there?"
Yuji had to continue the story for him. Junpei was so red and hiding his face in his hands. He should really call her and say he's sorry again.
"He called me and Y/n when he couldn't get her ham flaps out. My dumbass tried to pull his head back but it stretched with him!.. Y/n had to go in there with her fingers and get her unstuck!"
You scrunched up your face. "She was so slimy too. It took me a good 30 minutes to get a good hold on it.. I think I got her off by accident too."
(Junpei) "You did. She asked if you were single before she broke up with me."
"Damn..."
---------
You were last...
Everyone had done or said something embarrassing. You felt bad for Megumi who was getting his naked self bit up by nats. Gojo was drunk off his ass from sneaking a few sips here and there so Geto had to ask for him.
"Y/n. Truth or Dare?"
You looked around the fire pit. Everyone was either embarrassed from all the sexual truths or naked.
(Mahito) "Don't be scared Y/n. We're all close now.. Especially me and you."
He shifted in his seat and reached behind himself to pull out your thong from his ass cheeks. (Gojo dared him to wear it. Along with one of Maki's bras/ Nobara's bunny headband she wore to sleep.)
You sighed... Your truths would be boring. You're ex was the only guy you've ever had sex with. It was always pretty boring, good old missionary. Every. Single. Time.
Dare didn't seem so bad, but You didn't want to end up putting someone's toe in your mouth like Yuji had to..
Fuck it!
"Dare?"
Damn.. Geto was hoping you'd pick truth. He still didn't know why you and your ex broke up. He didn't just want to come out and ask in case it ended bad. But he also needed to know if he'd have to twist the guys neck when classes started up again..
(Choso) "Skinny dip and let us watch!"
Those who were "sober" turned to look at choso.. another one who was drunk off his ass... Literally sitting on the ground and holding onto Yuji's leg.
(Nobara) "Perv!"
(Maki) "Hell yeah hun. Get yo tits out!"
*Smack*
"Ow!"
(Yuji) "Maki's right. Haven't seen those bad boys in a while... Remember your break-up party?"
(Megumi) "Best party ever.."
(Junpei) "they were my phone's wallpaper for a while... Nobara made me delete it though.."
(Sukuna) "Fuck! I was gonna tell you to send it to me."
(Yuji) "I have a copy on my laptop. I'll send it to you when we get home."
"Sweet."
You walked up to Geto and grabbed the bottle. "Nah, I'm not doing that."
Everyone boo'd..
"What? It's dark!" You pointed to the trail that led to the lake. "That's some white people horror movie shit."
Everyone turned... No one really noticed how dark it was around you all. The only light was the dying fire and the small lights that Junpei hung on his tent house.
(Gojo) "Oh man... Did anyone bring a flashlight?"
"Fleshlight? Yah but she's dirty..."
Ignoring who ever said that... Everyone looked at Junpei.
"Shit! I knew I forgot something!"
Gojo groaned. "we're going swimming tomorrow afternoon. Just do it then." He staggered to grab the bottle out of your hand and fell on Geto's feet. "I'm white girl wasted anyways... I want to remember it.."
You thanked whatever God was on your side right now. Everyone was a little too buzzed to remember they had flashlights on their phones.
Nobara hummed. "I think I have one more round in me. After that I think it's time for bed." She pulled out her phone and clicked her tongue. "It's almost 3am. The spooky hour--"
The air had been warm and still...
Where the hell did this cold breeze come from? The fire suddenly went out..
Everyone was so loud a minute ago. But everyone was kind of just in shock at the sudden darkness. Even the twinkle lights on the tent was dimming..
You all felt the need to whisper. Like something or someone was watching you..
(Yuji) "Guys... I think we should go to bed now.."
(Mahito) "Do you guys know who that is? Over by that tree?"
Oh no.. you didn't want to look. But your dumbass did..
The lights flickered from Junpei's tent. You saw a shadow not too far from all of you. It looked like a person but you couldn't really tell? The small breeze came back and the person started waving at everyone.
"Nope!"
You booked it to Junpei's tent. You were sure you kicked either Gojo or Choso but you didn't give a shit right now.
(Yuji) *whisper yelling* "Its moving!!"
Bodies crashed into you as soon as you stepped foot into the small house tent. It was the only place with lights and his was the farthest away from the person! All the rustling and pushing caused the lights to fall, leaving you all in complete darkness..
Still in whispers.
(Gojo) "Geto, babe. Hold me, I'm scared.."
(Maki) "Bitch, that's my tit!"
(Geto) "Ew. Err I mean.. sorry?"
(Sukuna) "Y/n. Let me hold your ass, I'm scared."
(Yuji) "Smooth."
(Megumi) "That's my ass you're trying to finger man.."
(Sukuna) " ... What happens in the dark. Stays in the dark?"
*Smack!*
(Junpei) "Y/n? Are you okay? You're quiet."
"I'm good. But I'm just curious... Who's monster cock am I holding onto right now?"
A giggle came from beside you. "Mine. I told you we were getting close."
It was like holding onto a toddlers leg. "God damn Mahito. What are you feeding this thing?!"
"Wanna see a trick?"
You let go of him so fast. "No thanks.."
(Nobara) "Guys... I think we left Choso sitting outside."

Chapter 1 of "Light"
My name is Ryuka harakawa. I am know as a really smart student and I have been accepted to a high school dedicated to students that are intelligent as I am. Think of it like Harvard... almost. This school is a little different since it also looks for students that are gifted in talent in which I didn't meet that criteria. I've always wanted to expand my field in science research and have a career in marine biology. I look really in depth at everything I see and I've always wanted to see the ocean one day. Today was the beginning if a new chapter. I found myself at the steps of my new school reading the name "Atamagi highschool home for talent and smarts" the name alone made me smile and fill with excitement. Everything was going to be great for me. I wish my parents were here to see all this, unfortunately they passed away when i was only 5. The three of us were in a major car accident and i was the only sole survivor. I dont really have many fond memories of them but my gram gram always tells me stories about my mother and sometimes about my father. My aunt Maki also tells me a lot of things about my mother and sometimes tells me things about my father that gram gram didn't know about. The two of them love together, since my aunt is paralyzed from the waist down. Me and gram gram usually help her out a lot since she was also in a var accident with a boy she liked but he crashed into a tree while being intoxicated. Both luckily survived but the boy never talled to my aunt ever again. She says she doesn't hate him but it's just rude to just ditch her after everything. He didnt even care to even check on her after the crash, plus he only suffered minor damages.
Gram gram liked to sew a lot and would usually sew my clothes expect for my school uniform. She was kinda upset about it but I reassured her that it was okay and she should keep making me more clothing anyway. This moring she handed me a pin and told it was for good luck and everyone was going to love me. I love my family, and if anything were to happen to them I wouldnt know what I would do.
At the school gates I spoted a small group of people. They were surrounding a student throwing rocks at them. I had to do something, and on the first day too. That seemed to be very inappropriate to me. "Hey, Stop!" I said as I stepped in. It was a boy, the same age as me. "Aw, would you look at this girl. She trying to be the hero. How stupid." One of the bullies said. "How about we teach her a lesson about hunter and prey." One of the other bullies said with a smirk. I stomped my foot and said, "Look at yourselves. Do you guys even realize what you are doing? This isn't right, especially on the first day." One of the bullies looked at me. Her hair was long, blonde with purple highlights at the tips. "Aw, I think we should listen to her. Never!" She laughed with the other bullies. There was a total of five of them. The boy grabbed my hand and said, "Let's get out of here!" And we ran. We entered the school and stopped in a hallway. I was out of breath, but I wanted to ask him questions. "Hey, are you okay?" "I'm fine..." "you don't seem fine." "I am... now leave." He seemed kinda rude especially just considering I just stopped him from getting bullied. "Hey, maybe we started off on the right foot. What's your name?" "Why does it matter? You're just gonna be like them." He seemed scared and was trembling. I saw that his arm was bleeding, so I reached into my bag and pulled out a bandage. "Here, I see that your arm is bleeding." I said with a cheerful smile. He looked at me and smiled. "Thanks, but why are you doing this for me?" "Because I'm not a twisted individual." He seemed really happy now. "Alright, my name is Ryu Ichigawa." The name Ichigawa, it felt familiar before but I could decipher where I had heard it before. "I'm Ryuka Harakawa, I hope we can become great friends." He looked at me with shock. "I dont think that would be a good option..." "why?" I asked. "Nevermind, nice meeting you." He waved me goodbye. He seemed very suspicious. I took out my phone and noticed I was going to be late for my first class. I panicked and I didn't even know what or where my first class was.
Eventually, I found my class despite being 5 minutes late. And to my surprise I saw him again in that class. I sighed and sat down. The girl that sat right next to me slamed her hands on my desk and looked at me with the biggest smile on her face. "Oh my god, I love you pin!! It's so cute!!!" Her eyes with different colors, the left being green and the right being blue. I had never seen anyone with heterochromia before. "Hey! Are you going to respond? You looking at my eyes arent you? Man, I'm not a monster!!!" She cried. "Oh, sorry. I spaced out for a second. Thanks for your comment though." "Eh? What kind of reponse is that?" "One I thought would be mature to answer with, sorry." "Whats your name?" "I am Ryuka Harakawa." "Hmph, I'm Setsuna Kodaki the girls that outshines everyone else and it's not because of my eyes." "You want to sing and be an idol?" "Not really..." it seemed I had dampened the mood. "I really like to draw a lot if things. Such as really cute animals, like cats." She said. She pulled out her sketckbook and showed me many of her drawings. They were pretty impressive, sadly i wished i had talent like hers. "Your work is pretty impressive." I said to her. "Thank you!!" She sat down at her seat really quickly when the teacher stepped into the classroom. He was even later than i was. "Sorry, I had an issue on my way here. I am your english teacher."
After school i was met with Setsuna. "Hey there Harakawa-san! I want you to meet my friend." A shy girl, a little shorter than Setsuna stood next to her. "Hi, I'm Margie Smith. I'm a foreign exchange student from
Senria. Nice to meet you..." she seemed like didnt want to continue the conversation. I looked at my phone. I recieved a text messags from my best friend Tsukuba. It read, "want 2 get ice cream tmmr?" I responded "of course!" My gram gram wasn't too fond of Tsukuba since she was older than me and plus she knew my mother in ways that gram gram and aunt never told me before. But Tsukuba never really liked to talk about the topic of my mother. She liked to talk about cosplay, video games and anime she watched. I started my walk home. Today was really nice and I was already starting to like this new school. I was already excited to go the next day. I reached my home and noticed the door was locked. That was odd to me, but luckily i had a key. I unlocked the door and called my aunt and gram gram names. No response. They should've been home, even if they went out. I ran to my aunt bedroom. I knocked on her door. No response. My heart racing. I raced to my gram gram room. I knocked on her door. No response again. I opened her door only to find the unthinkable. There laid the corpses of my gram gram and aunt Maki.

gentle love ‹ masterlist › twin stars
𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
It didn't come as a surprise when days later my parents invited us over for dinner. What was surprising was seeing Jae there, and no one else in the family.
"She's been feeling lonely, yn. You and him are her only friends - she feels left out of the group. Try to understand."
I did understand, I understand better than they think. I could tell by the way she eyes him lustfully when we came in the house, the way her hug lingered longer than his, her coy smile and the drag of her hand travelling sensually down his arm. She wants Iwaizumi back and she couldn't make it any more obvious.
My only consolation is that Iwaizumi looks incredible uncomfortable and keeps on swatting her hand away or giving her a stern look, but she doesn't ease up on her assault. When she leans in close to him, pressing her breasts against his arm, making him blush is when I've had enough.
I feel vile rising up my throat, the food I had just swallowed trying to come back. Excusing myself, I saw a slight worry in Iwaizumi's eyes, he started to get up to accompany me, Jae pulls him back down. "Wait Haji! I need to tell you about this thing that happened at work, you would never believe..." As I moved further away, the sound of her voice blended into silence.
Instead of heading to the restroom in the corridor, I went inside my old room looking for comfort in my memory filled four walls. I sat there in silence looking at the pictures of my childhood and on each of them, there's Iwaizumi without fail. Some have Oikawa here and there, Jae is also in many of them, Maki and Mattsun in between. The only ones that don't have Iwaizumi in there is during those four years he left for Uni and was slightly replaced by Maki and Mattsun that never left me alone. But I found no solace in these once happy memories. The moment I found out about Jae and Iwaizumi, the lies and the betrayal, they had turned bitter.
"Haji haji! Where are you going?" Jae's voice called out from outside my bedroom door, dread creeping up my body at the thought of having to witness another devastating separation. I have half a mind of jumping out of my bedroom window, just to avoid to breaking my heart further.
"I'm looking for yn. She didn't look so good."
Jae huffs annoyed, "It's always yn! 'YN is coming with us' or 'YN was sick, she needed me there' or the best one! 'YN is my friend, I will always be on her side.' When is this false care of yours going to stop? I know I made a mistake on regecting you Haji. I want to take it back, I want us back, don't you?"
My blood ran cold in that moment, her words structing a cord in my heart, revealing insecurities buried deep for years. I had always had a subconscious feeling that Iwaizumi only hung out with me during his teen years out of pity, no matter what he said.
"False care?" He was right outside my bedroom door, I could hear the shuffling of his clothes and the clacking of Jae's high heels stop. "Did you just say false care?"
"Is that all you picked up on? Haji, please, I want-"
"Don't you ever say that about me and yn, Jae. You have no right. If there is anyone here that has any 'false care' it would be you."
"Haji-"
"If you actually care about anyone but yourself, then you would stay in your place and stop with all of this. You had your chance, Jae. I gave you so many chances, I begged you the night before the wedding and you said no. There is no going back."
"Why are you so mad? We could just runaway now and forget everything Haji!"
I hear him sigh and I can picture the disappointment on his face, the annoyance, the anger. Its palpable in the air even with the door separating us. "I am mad, Jae, because I've been in love with an asshole for so many years. Because I still love you, an asshole, even though I'm trying really really hard to forget you. Because I-," I can see the way the doorknob jiggles, a tell-tale sign that he rested his hand on it, "I can't believe how little you care about yn. If what you said on the wedding day is true, which I still don't believe; why would you do this to her? She's your cousin, she's been like a sister to you and so many of us for years and you're okay letting her suffer this way?"
"I just- on that day you said you didn't care if she was actually in love with you. Why are you-"
"You and I and every single person in the world that has met my mochi know that she deserves better. So much better, so why in the world would you do this? YN loves you, so much, and you'd just drop her like that Jae? What is wrong with you?"
"Easy. She has you and I want you, that's what's wrong."
Its silent for a moment, I can imagine the incredulous look on Iwaizumi's face at her words. Is he going to jump at her and kiss her? Will he runaway with her and leave me? The mere thought of it tears another piece of my heart and I don't think I could take anymore. I stand up to hide in the bathroom, from anyone that may come in.
But then he speaks.
"Well, Jae, I am hers and you are just going to have to deal with it."
The silence was deafening and the tears I was shedding, the sobs I was holding back only worsened the nausea I already had. Running to my bathroom as fast and as quiet as I could, I barely made it to empty my stomach.
If they spoke more outside, I knew nothing about it. Iwaizumi came in moments later to brush and hold my hair out of my face, rubbing my back. Once I was done and all cleaned up, he pulled me in close and kissed my forehead, "Are you feeling better, mochi?"
I observed his face and whatever emotion he had while speaking to Jae was long gone. His eyes showed worry and tenderness. As I reached out to rub this forehead to stop him from deepening his wrinkles I feel a bit better. If Iwaizumi is here, then it means he's no leaving, not for now and I can live with it. "A bit, but I wanna go home and watch a movie."
He grinned at me, making my heart skip a beat like as if everything that happened a while ago was nonexistent, "Cartoon or 4D?"
"Both?"
"Both it is then, my sweet mochi. Let's go and say our bye's now. Your dad might get the wrong idea and come to shoot my head off."
I snorted, remembering the time when Iwaizumi lost the inter-high and sneaked into my room for comfort, cuddling me in just sweatpants when my dad walked in and had a fit. I repeated the words he had said back then, "Not in my house nor with my daughter, Iwaizumi!"
He chuckled, "Never been more afraid in my life, even though you were there."
"What does that mean?"
He only gave me a secretive smile and bopped my nose. We said our goodbye's to my parents - noting how my mother didn't give us any leftovers, probably afraid to get me sick, even though it was her fault. As we walked out, I also noticed something else missing or more like someone else, "Where's Jae?"
Iwaizumi tensed under my fingers, wrapping his arm tighter around me. What worried me was the sudden tense smile my mother gave me and the slight anger radiating of my father.
"She had to leave, love. An emergency."
I watched them closely and a horrible thought came up in my mind. Did they know about them?
I looked at my mother and I saw guilt in her eyes, "Oh honey, I'm sorry. If I had known how jealous Jae was about you marrying Iwaizumi, I would have never invited her."
... What?
"But I should have seen it coming," Mother continued, "She has always been jealous of you, since you were kids. Always taking your stuff or blaming you for things you never did. I would have expected her to grow up," she huffed annoyed, "but it seems I was hoping to much from her."
She caressed my cheek, "It's a good thing Hajime put her in her place. Such a good husband!"
Oh thank God, they only heard the last part of it.
My father takes my hand in his, it had always been much bigger and covered with callouses from years of hard work. "My darling, if anyone ever tries to hurt you or make you feel less worthy than you are, please know that it is not true," he kissed the back of my hand, like he's always done, "a princess must always be cared and treasured. Always remember it and if not, I will be here to do so."
He cracks a grin at Iwaizumi, "But I guess you won't be coming to me for it, will you? You have Hajime to do it now, and I would believe you prefer it that way."
The sudden blush that appeared on my face made all of them laugh, the tense atmosphere of my question forgotten in the wind.
"I'll make sure to remind her that she is nothing less than a queen, old man."
"I'll hold you accountable then, Hajime."
―
Later that night, in the comfort of my bed Iwaizumi comes in bearing gifts. Tea for my upset stomach, blankets and a few sandwiches. "You hardly ate anything, so I though this would be better for you."
"But you made like, ten, Hajime."
"... I'm starving, alright?"
My head resting under his chin, his arm draped around my shoulders, my leg thrown over his, covered up in the softest blankets ever, a wedding gift from Oikawa with a letter that I keep in my bedside.
He's a tough cookie, YN. You and I, we both know it but please, don't give up on him. I've only seen him smile so carelessly when your around. He's carefree and senselessly fun when you appear. I only see him be true to himself with you and I'm happy to know he has finally realized it after so many years. Continue to give him only smiles and happiness, little mochi. Love, the best (duh) King Oikawa
We cleaned up once we had enough of the foods and just continued to watch until the end. He started to take his leave to his bedroom when in jerk reaction fashion, I reach out to pull him back.
"Stay."
He looks at me intently, trying to figure out the message behind my words. He gives me a smile as he comes back in and pulls me back onto his chest, "You always hated sleeping alone. You should have told me this was okay for you."
"Too quiet, to big."
"Then... How about we share the bedroom?"

Y'all ready for some sad boy times?
Spoiler warning for chapter 5 of Danganronpa V3! The queen of fluff is back but this time I'm here to bring some sad. So, remember the "Kokichi With An Ultimate Bodyguard S/O" Fic? Well, i was thinking, what if in the 5th chapter Maki dies and Y/N is the blackened? The way it happens is the first part is the same, Maki breaks into the hanger to have Kokichi answer questions or something and then, on instinct, Y/N rushes in and grabs the crossbow from Maki and shoots her in the neck with it. Killing her instantly. Throughout the trail, Y/N is helping and Kokichi is more an more desperately lying to make it look like Y/N is innocent. At the end of trail, Kokichi is crying, Kaito is glaring at her, and Y/N is just asking for forgiveness because she hates killing,"Kokichi, Kaito, everyone, I'm so sorry. Before i die, could i ask one more thing of you all? Please forgive me. I didn't mean to-" Y/N asks the group remaining, just before getting interupted by a certain sad supreme leader,
"SHUT UP! YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO FULFILL YOUR DUTY OF THE ULTIMATE BODYGUARD. Just, please don't leave me..." he begs, clinging to Y/N like a small child
"Sorry Kokichi. It seems i can't do that. We know the rules of this horrible game," She tells the crying boy,"I wish that I could stay for longer, just, send me off with a smile ok? I don't want my last memory of you being with tears streaming down your face."
"I can't, i won't let you leave! Don't leave! Don't leave me... Please..." Kokichi pleas to whatever twisted god is still listening to him.
"If you can't see me off with a smile, the end this game for me, ok? I don't want you to suffer any longer," Y/N says, as she holds the small crying boy.
"Well i hate to interrupt this touching moment, wait- no I don't" a voice all to familiar voice rings out through the courtroom,"But we can't forget the most important part of this event. Now then, I've prepared a very special punishment for Y/N L/N, the ultimate bodyguard. Let's give it everything we've got, it's punishment time!"
"Noooo!" Kokichi yells, as he tries to hold Y/N down from her inevitable doom
"Good luck ending it everyone!" Y/N says, as a chain clasps around her neck, dragging her away from Kokichi, and to her painful death.
This hurt to write, i don't like writing my babies crying and in pain but it just worked. Have a good existence! -Dragon Anon, who now needs to cry a bit after writing that
⤷ Kodzumie; Uwahh—!! An angsty piece, oh, how exciting this is!! I adore the sequence of Kokichi’s breakdown along with the emphasis of impact upon him!
It really shows the depth of their relationship between each other and the contrast with the others. Aah, it definitely provides insight on the inevitable lonelinesss to consume Kokichi once his S/O is gone.
This was written wonderfully and intertwined various aspects to enforce the misery which was incredible!! Aah, I loved reading this!! It brought a hole into my heart whilst also filling it as the same time. It’s so bittersweet; they truly cared so much for each other, and that care was what ultimately separated them.
Aah..!! This is incredible!! Thank you so much for writing it, love!! <3

Kaede had so much potential to be a great protagonist. The first thing that really got me invested on her is that she is flawed and she recognizes that and tries to do better unlike SOME people. I relly liked that instead of pretending she didn't do anything wrong, Kaede owned up to her mistake and apolagized to everyone. I think she would have been a great influence on the others characters, especially on Shuichi and maybe even on Maki helping them slowly improve wo forcing them like Kaito
Oh boy this is gonna be my least popular take ever haha
I don't agree but I don't disagree?
It's not like she'd be worse or whatever, but I don't think that she would be the amazing, show-stopping protagonist that everyone hypes her up to be either, and that she would be better off dead as horrible as that sounds.
I understand that Shuichi went downhill after Chapter 1 and was a major disappointment because of his whole character arc with Kaito that made him dumb and never learn a single lesson but I dont feel as though Kaede would do any better or that Kaede would have been able to escape the writers' wrath if she had been intended to live.
Basically there are two or three major problems with Kaede becoming a full-time protagonist instead of dying:
She has limited room to develop because she only has two major traits (being pushy and believing in people) to work with, traits that don't work well with the established writing style of dragging things out for way too long, and if the second problem was avoided then she would have had to develop into a different character entirely which I doubt fans would have been happy with.
Also if she didn't become the blackened and have that moral greyness going for her and if she hadn't gone against her own philosophy of "we won't kill each other" in such a cool, satisfying way I would have literally 0 reason to be interested in her, personally. Not a huge problem for most, but for me it's critical to my enjoyment of her character.
Anyway, the first and second problem are problems that stem from the writers. Kaede as we know her wasn't made with the idea of having her live for a long time, so having traits to develop for a long time just wasn't important to making her and I promise you that it would Show if she had survived.
The V3 writing team really loved to stretch out Shuichi's flaw of not having confidence, to the point where even when he gained confidence and learned a lesson in one chapter he would lose it and forget the lesson in the next just for the sake of stretching out his arc, making him seem inconsistent and lowering his overall quality, and I guarantee if Kaede had been left alive they would've done the same thing to her. This is incredibly Bad News not just because she would be as grating as Shuichi, but because her flaws Need to be Solidly worked on and can't be waffled around like Shuichi's.
Kaede's specific flaw of being very stubborn would have to be stretched out, you see, so that moment you liked where Kaede owned up to her shit? She would immediately go back on her word and clash with the group again in a long, tedious cycle throughout the game just like Shuichi. This is awful because Shuichi's flaw was never something he needed to be sorry for, it's not something that affected other people, but Kaede's flaw would definitely affect the group because that's what it does inherently and that's what it Did in the game.
What good is an apology to someone if you keep doing the thing you said you wouldn't do? But that's how things would have to be if she were the protagonist because the writers were obsessed with it even though it was ruining Shuichi.
Personally speaking, if Kaede had apologized for negatively affecting the group only to keep doing the thing that negatively affected the group over and over again I would have hated her. It's just not satisfying to watch a character continuously fuck up and never truly learn their lesson despite how glaringly obvious it is that they need to work on their shit for the sake of the people around them. It's the reason I hated Kaito's character and it would be the reason I'd hate Kaede.
Especially because of what is the most probable source of her stubborn clashing with the cast, her Only Other Trait: her stubborn belief that no one would kill each other during the killing game. Oh my god it would be a nightmare, I'm telling you.
If we keep having her believe in everyone despite the obvious, effectively making her as braindead as Kaito—
And let me just say that we really don't need another Kaito, especially when the cast eventually starts acting just like him, we need the opposite of Kaito, like Maki in Chapter 1 or Kokichi or Rantaro.
— then it would be really disappointing because having Kaede become Kaito 2.0 would make no sense. It didn't make sense when Kaito did it and it wouldn't make any sense for Kaede to do it either. In fact it might be worse.
Kaito is a big dumbass, so at the very least we would expect him to be dumb, but Kaede is actually somewhat intelligent (despite falling for the despair road trap like a looney toons character) so seeing her keep denying the situation and all common sense, making her seem dumber and dumber, would be so frustrating to see.
And if she didn't do that, if she accepted the reality that her belief in people turned out to be wrong as the bodies kept piling up, I think she would become an entirely different character with a much more hopeless arc, and unfortunately this would be more realistic than the previous option.
It's literally the only logical conclusion to her No, We Won't Kill mentality because it would be proven to her Over and Over again through each chapter that Yes, They Will Kill and it would have to wear her down eventually because unlike Kaito, Kaede actually has a fucking brain and can't deny the reality and the situation forever, unless the writers made her as dumb as a rock as with the previous hypothetical, which I really wouldn't forgive them for.
This isn't even me just making it up either, it happens in the canon story when Monokuma gives out the first motive and Kaede yells something about no one killing each other with a nervous face and Monokuma says that he doesn't need her Lies, meaning she was already doubting everyone. If it was already getting to her Before the murders, she would have gotten so much worse after the bodies started hitting the floor and that would lead to development, just not anything positive.
The only way for her established character to realistically play out would be for Kaede to have a character arc about learning to Not believe in people, which would change her character entirely (because her whole character is about believing in people and forcing them to cooperate with each other) and also just be super depressing. At least Shuichi's poorly written arc ended on a hopeful note, meanwhile Kaede would have to learn to doubt and distrust others.
So even if she had lived, she would end up becoming a different character than the Kaede fans fell in love with and end up becoming as dissatisfying as Shuichi (although in a different way) unless you're really into depressing stories about characters losing faith in others, in which case it would be great, for all five of you.
If you're not fully convinced that this would change her character (in a debatably horrible way), imagine Kaito going through the same arc as the one above– it's hard to imagine, right? Because the concept of believing in people is thoroughly baked into his character to the point that to change it would mean to make him a completely different person and scrap his old personality unsatisfactorily.
All of this to say:
I don't think that Kaede would have been any better off as a protagonist than Shuichi was. She was written into a futile corner since the moment she was conceived by the writing team and she was better off dead, if only for the fact that she was saved from the writers by dying off too quickly for them to ruin her.
At least if she's dead I can have good memories of her character and think of my own ideas for her, y'know? If they ruin her, she's ruined for good and we can't go back.

Hey, I'm sorry for asking, but when was it implied that Ouma was suicidal? I didn't catch that during the game.
Rather than just implied it’s more…well, outright confirmed.Ouma is a character who is marked by his willingness to continue living anddoing horrible things in order to achieve his goals no matter what, but there’sno real denying that it took a huge toll on him and that he wanted to die. Hetalks about his own life with very little value, is willing to risk Makichoking him on at least two occasions, outright asks to die with Gonta inChapter 4 when there was nothing beneficial in it for him. But ultimately, themost obvious outright confirmation is the fact that he does essentially just let himself be killed—in a reallyhorrible, brutal way.
It’s for the sake of striking back at the mastermind andcreating an incomprehensible case, yes, but if he’d honestly still prioritized findingthe mastermind himself and sticking around no matter what it took like he didin Chapter 4, then he could easily have thrown Maki and Momota under the bus.
There was no reasonfor him to die in Chapter 5 unless you consider that he was tired and suicidal. He could have actually drunk the antidote when he snatched it from Maki insteadof just pretending to do so, let Momota die from his own poison wounds, and hadMaki be executed pretty easily in the school trial. Considering Maki and her SHSLAssassin talent were something he was trying to watch out for from pretty earlyon, it would even have taken care of an immense obstacle in his path.
But rather than discarding both of them and making himselfeven more hated, he literally just lets himself be killed. His back was upagainst the wall, he’s been shot with poison, he had to compromise on hismorals in Chapter 4 by getting Miu and Gonta killed even if it was something hehated having to do, and he was starting to believe in his own act as ahorrible, detestable villain—so he went with the option that meant he wouldnever be able to see the results of his own actions but which nonetheless keptone more person alive and succeeded in at least managing to send a hugesubversive message to the mastermind and audience both.
Ouma didn’t want to die if he could help it, it’s true. Hecertainly didn’t want to die at the start of the game, because he was workingwith a plan in which he could only trust himself. If he died, there was no oneleft in the group he could 100% truly rely on or trust to solve the mysteriesafter he was gone, not even Saihara. He wanted to stick around preciselybecause of how little he trusted the others and how much he wanted to put thekilling game itself to an end. Dying early on as a result of the killing gameitself or the mastermind’s wishes would only have made sure that the killinggame continued, rather than stopping it like he wanted.
But there’s a huge difference between kind of having to liveon for one particular motivating goal because the alternative is worse, andwanting to live because you just genuinely enjoy life. And the fact that Ouma’swill to keep going did ultimately spiral out and result in him feeling likedeath was preferable to staining his hands again in Chapter 5 the way he didwith Gonta and Miu is proof that he had been considering just ending it all forsome time. The only condition he had was that his death mean something, that hesend some sort of message to the mastermind and try and put a wedge in theirplans once and for all.
The other biggest proof that Ouma was suicidal is because heknew the secret of the outside world. Plain and simple, this is proof. Peoplecan doubt Ouma’s words all they want, but the secret of the outside world isshown multiple times throughout the game to be something that inspires despairand an urge to die in any of the characters who sees it, period. Ndrv3 isn’t subtle about its implications that outsidesociety is entirely ruined and that the world is horrible, and Tsumugi’s speechat the end about Team Danganronpa and the killing game itself only suggeststhat it’s even more fucked up rather than peaceful if this is the kind of entertainmentpeople prefer nowadays.
Every time any character in the series realizes the entiretruth about the outside world, they almost completely lose their will to live. Andby snatching the card key at the beginning of Chapter 4, we know for a factthat Ouma went and won the platforming mini-game and saw the secret of theoutside world for himself with his own two eyes. His behavior in the previousthree chapters suggests that he had his own theories, and that he definitelywasn’t affected by the brainwashing the same as the others were since he knewabout the broadcast, but it’s important to note that it’s not until he really, truly saw the state of the outside world with his own two eyes that his actionsreached an entirely new level of desperation.
Even without knowing the whole truth of the outside world,Miu was already desperate enough to commit murder and try to get the rest ofthe group killed in the trial. Gonta completely broke down and became willingto take a life with his own two hands when he was never the type of person whowould have done such a thing under other circumstances, once he saw the exactsame secret of the outside world with the remember light in Chapter 4.
All the other characters either implied or outright statedthat they thought Ouma was lying about the state of the outside world and thatit couldn’t possibly be that bad, so he finally adopts a new strategy inChapter 5 and forces them to confront it themselves, with their own two eyes.
After having previously relied very much on lies andillusions and letting people believe what they want to believe, Ouma forcesthem to confront a painful, unchanging truth. And it’s so horrible that everysingle one of the survivors in Chapter 5 goes into a fit of horrible depressionand nearly gives up their will to live entirely. Saihara doesn’t get out of bedfor days on end, and Himiko even asks Maki to kill her, multiple times. Only byplanting a remember light with fake memories—a lie, in other words—about theirstatus as “students of Hope’s Peak Academy” and being “the hope of the world”does Tsumugi manage to get everyone’s morale back up.
And when you get down to it, even Tsumugi herself issuicidal from knowing the way things are in society and in reality. Herwillingness to literally throw herself into fiction to the point where even sheisn’t sure of where the lines between fiction and reality blur anymore, is initself a kind of death wish. Fiction was her incentive to live vicariouslythrough the adventures and victories and suffering of others. But whenconfronted with cold, hard reality, and the dull and boring and horrible natureof everything, she just…can’t even bring herself to react. It’s the main reasonshe accepts her own death, in Chapter6, rather than craving it and genuinely getting off on despair like Junko.
My main point here is that if literally everyone in ndrv3 is at some point or another suicidal wheneverthey are confronted with the harsh, unchanging truth of the world (and this isconstantly brought up, by the characters’ willingness to sign up for a killinggame, by Saihara’s flashback to himself saying “I want to die together witheveryone,” etc.) then there’s no way to deny that Ouma was affected by it too. It’s just not feasible to look at the results and say “yes, knowing thishorrible thing impacts every single other character in this particular way” andthen go “oh but not Ouma, he was fine.”
There’s a lot in DR overall, and not just ndrv3, aboutknowledge being equated with despair. Knowing everything, lacking the abilityto be surprised, is constantly shown to be something that has a very negativeimpact on people, both with Junko and with Kamukura. Boredom is detestableprecisely because it’s the end result of knowing everything and having no newopportunities or incentive to live. And there’s a lot with Ouma about boredom, too. He constantly is throwing himself into plans and schemes and looking formethods of entertainment and fun, because accepting that he knows too much andthat nothing is ever going to change is the same as accepting that all hisplans are useless. It’s the same as accepting the despair that Tsumugi wantedhim to embody.
I’ve talked already before too about Ouma’s outburst in theChapter 4 trial, where he asks to die together with Gonta. Whether or notpeople believe the entirety of Ouma’s outburst (and some parts of it, likesaying “yes I wanted to ‘save’ everyone by getting you all killed,” areundeniably lies), there really is no personal incentive for him to say thethings he said to Gonta unless it was true. Sympathizing with Gonta, askingpeople to forgive him before he went to his execution, asking Gonta to let himdie with him—these things benefit Gonta, not Ouma.
If Ouma had wanted to really throw salt in the wound or hadbeen a character who really enjoyed making others suffer, rather than one whopretends to enjoy it, then he would have “revealed” his betrayal to Gontabefore he died, and tried to hurt him rather than letting him be somewhat atpeace before his death.
When you’re a skilled liar, if you really want to hurtpeople, you lie to make them like you, not detest you. The only reason Oumacould possibly have had to say “let me die” in that trial is if he meant it,because he knew the line that he crossed with getting Gonta and Miu killed andit really, honestly made him falter and not want to go on anymore. He only getsback into the swing of things and plays the villain more intently andemphatically than he ever did before after Gonta is dead, and after promisinghim that he would “be friends with everyone”—which by Ouma’s standards meansmaking everyone else stay united by letting himself be hated.
I hope this clears up some things! I wouldn’t really call itan implication or subtext because there’s really no denying or arguing the factthat Ouma’s death is something he had every means of avoiding but ultimatelychose to go to himself. There were plenty of signs that his façade was breakingdown and that his resolve was wavering beforehand, but the fact that he diedwhen he could very easily have avoided the whole situation by pinning it all onMaki is pretty undeniable proof.
Suicidal feelings and lacking the will to go on wheneverything seems horrible and reality itself is twisted and cruel is kind of ahuge overarching theme in ndrv3. The whole point of the moral ambiguity of theending is that in the end, it doesn’t really come down to truth or lies, but amiddle ground. Lies which, as Ouma says in Chapter 4, “are told to comfortothers,” or “told to avoid hurting others,” are a necessity in order to survive in reality, because really, by theend of the game, pretty much all of the characters would have given up and diedwithout the “lie” that became true to them, of how their existences inside thegame were real and meaningful to them even if they weren’t to the audience.
