Manga spoilers?

I picked Dabi cause I feel like with the way the manga is headed, Shigaraki seems like hes going to be saved and have a redemption I don’t see that happening for Dabi unfortunately. He seems like he’s about to kill himself to reach his goals (Shigaraki is actively fighting for control over himself)

i’ll put my thoughts under the cut for spoiler’s sake!

i’ve been a dabi-dies truther for a while now, if only because his anger and need for revenge is literally sloughing his own skin off of him. but!!! the thing is, death literally has no stakes in BNHA, and there’s no real emotional consequences to anything either LMAO so i think dabi will (probably) survive. which is unfortunate, because while i know people argue that shouto’s arc needs him to survive and redeem to be satisfying, i disagree LMAOOO. personally (heavy emphasis on the personally, there guys, c’mon) i would like at least one of the kids to learn the lesson that even doing your best, doing what you can, being sincere—there are some people you just can’t reach, no matter how much you want to.

shigaraki actually falls into this category for me, too! like, he’s too far gone in his anger and his hurt to be truly redeemable—i’ve always wondered if maybe he’d end up sacrificing himself or something, to help Deku defeat AFO but… idk, horikoshi seems to have other plans. 🧐 guess we’ll just have to wait and see and amuse ourselves with polls in the mean time, LOL, idk.
