Umbratale Chapter 2 pages 1-7 Image by ev3e So for everyone curious about Umbratale here is all of chapter 2. In this Au frisk chooses mercy. But without a 7th soul the seal to the surface cannot be broken. And after helping frisk through the underground and growing attached, sans can't bring himself to use her soul. Which leaves him playing a halfhearted excuse of an endgame. In the end frisk fuses her soul with the gate. Breaking the seal allowing the monsters to leave. However she can never leave now. She would die if she were to cross through the gate, severing the string that connects her to her soul.
