Mini(?) Design Analysis: Frieza's Race Design Differences
Ok, so often I've been looking at the differences design wise (rather than the obvious colors) between Frieza and Frost, mainly a lot of distinctions to be made in line art and no color (besides pencil gray shadings) pencil drawing. Then lore-wise, it starts being a matter of which ones are technically "different" from the norm, what even is the norm, since we know there are some mutations at play (Frieza's line we know for sure; Frost potentially considering he has a catalog of forms, maybe some shady stuff going on). So, here's what I've noted:
Firstly, some distinctions between Frieza and Frost
There's of course the smaller things such as Frost's chinstrap and the difference between earholes (or in Frost's case, a lack thereof, instead being a solid cover), but also the major difference in coloration. Rather than being striped like Frieza's, Frost's arms are a solid darker blue, more distinct from the rest of his body while in his final form.
His hands also match his arms in color, unlike Frieza. To match pattern wise, we can guess the same applies to his legs, feet, and tail, though they're covered by his leggings (they are leggings/pants, as a manga shot shows there's some distinct thickness there compared to Frieza) and boots. (Don't know if it's simply artistic difference, but Frost's tail also seems to be thinner?)
One reason for a lack of arm stripes shows when considering young Frieza's design during Broly (side by side with a flashback image of Namek Saga from Broly to prove it's not a style choice for the movie)
Of note, young First Form Frieza has solid unstriped colorations on his arms and legs (though his tail is still striped, a fact we currently can't confirm or deny for Frost), but his "adult" state has these stripes. Perhaps this can explain why Frost lacks this trait, perhaps the stripes are simply something acquired with age and Frost being fairly younger (still a young adult likely) would mean his stripes haven't grown in yet. However, this would still leave Frost's hand color matching his arm as one of his color "oddities"- Frieza's are the pale pink of the rest of his body. Even with the stripe explanation in place, there's still a distinction that makes the color scheming different. Frieza's limbs match his little striped "cheek patches". If this applied to Frost, his limbs would have to be gray in order to match the "patches" (not counting his leggings as technically matching). They seem to match the rest of his First Form's scales, similar to if Frieza's striped sections were pale pink (lavender in the anime aside from Broly).
Young Frieza also lacks something that's missing on Frost as well- the little gems on the shoulders (a detail I've often forgotten in early art bits, woops). Perhaps this is also something yet to grow in.
Young Frieza is also missing the whitish gray chest armor that he shows in the Namek Saga. Xenoverse confirms that this is a naturally sculpted armor, so it'd need to be "grown" on rather than simply something to be taken on or off. This poses the question of why Frost's variation of the chest armor features shoulder and hip plating, making it seem like a wearable armor set. The gem on his chest is present on this set, which sways it a bit towards being "bio-armor". The shoulder and hip armor could potentially be attachments, but if all of the chest armor is separate from the body, the chest gem's presence could be simply a similar looking decoration or perhaps a little chest window (he strikes me as being a bit of a fashion diva, he'd go for that).
However, there is also the situation of the rest of Frieza's family. Case 1 is King Cold, likely in his second form. He has solid colored arms and legs (but still has a striped tail) consistently through age. They match the color of his "cheek patches" in Broly, but in Z the arms and legs follow the same color matching scheme as Frost (matching the remainder of the body rather than the cheeks). Both incarnations' striped tails match the cheeks, however (even though the actual color varies by version. He also lacks the shoulder gems from what limited views can be seen of his upper shoulder.
Case 2 is Chilled, bearing the striped limbs matching the "cheek patches", but lacking the shoulder gems, being replaced by spikes, or even a gem on his chest. These differences we can interpret loosely- after all, traits can be developed through the generations between Chilled and Cold/Frieza.
Case 3 is a rather tricky one, the case of King Cold's throwaway pancake child Cooler. His design, in the Final Form, differs from the other Final Forms we've seen with Frieza, Frost, and Kuriza. He lacks gems on the shoulders and chest and seems to have retained some traits of the lower forms, namely the red patches on his cheeks. His body also appears to be more covered in bio-armor, around the head and on the chest and shoulders. It almost seems like a "bridging" between a first-through-third form and the final/true form. Perhaps more grown armor was tacked on out of necessity, building more solidity in defense to compensate for a lack of "natural, gifted' power like his brother's, give himself some sort of merit to be valuable in his father's eye.
A lot of differences crop up as you look more carefully... The question still remains about which one is the Frieza's Race/Arcosian standard? Is there even one? Is there a reason behind Frieza's arm/leg stripes? I suppose there are still a lot of questions on the table.

New frieza Race OC. inspired by concept art for Dragon Ball Online of some frieza race characters with hair.
He's a soldier for a tyrannical galactic empire who despises the evil acts he has to commit. He may be the strongest warrior in his squad, but he's not powerful enough to fight back against his upper lords. He's been waiting for years, for the right moment where he can finally escape and do the right thing.
His name is Reon

Today in Conton City…
Nopatzu belongs to me while Fridged belongs to @airplaneear2
To explain Nopatzu’s lore a bit:
She’s a prev Mid Class U7 warrior that accidentally followed through a Time Patroller’s portal back to Conton City, saw too much, and was basically roped into being a time patroller
Nopatzu used to work under King Cold and a bit under Frieza as well. Hence why the “can I REALLY trust you?” air towards other of the Frieza Race/Icejins
Xeno Vegeta got assigned Nopatzu to essentially “civilize” her into the new conditions. Since he used to know the “old way” of saiyans, and he himself had to change away from that exact nature. He also trained her to increase her power since she had gone from one of stronger ones, to the weaker ones. Which did take a toll, and still bothers hers and eats away at her consciousness
She’s been a time patroller for a rather short time, only 6 months. Still mainly trains user Xeno Vegeta as she understands/relates to him the most. As well admires him the most (similiar to how Cabba, but in a more subtle way. In front of him she doesn’t show SQUAT tries to play cool and doesn’t want to let anyone know)
She can only go SSJ, which is still unmastered. Can also go to SSJ4 and is more mastered than SSJ due to her being an expert with the Oozaru/great ape transformation. She can only access SSJ4 via a special Senzu though
THE SPECIAL SENZU: Instead of healing and restoring stamina, essentially works like assisted rope rock climbing. Sometimes they may nudge you to get through a part you alone couldn’t otherwise, but it’s also your own doing to find a grip and stay there after the nudge
Nopatzu is also sent to aid Z-Broly missions quite often (her first mission was also a Z-Broly mission) due to her having a power level low enough to not rile up Z-Broly to become more powerful, and make it a bigger of an issue for the other Z-fighters to deal with. And resilient enough to survive the brutal beating. Essentially she is a meat shield and power battery to help the other Z-fighters win—
She absolute despises the hell outta Z-Broly, and is also traumatized to an extent 😭
