mango: when and why did you start your blog?

if we're talking about my twst imagines blog, then you see, i've actually been thinking of writing imagines for while, but i wasn't brave enough to actually do it. but i REALLY wanted to try it, so i started thinking where i should post my works. i decided to go with tumblr because i did have a tumblr acc in the past and i have a lot of experience, so i didn't want to use something that i'm not so familiar with (i thought of making a wattpad or ao3 acc as well). and then i had to choose which fandom to write for and i thought of writing danganronpa imagines but.. i didn't really want to be associated with the dr fandom and this is also why i didn't choose genshin. and i was very hyped for the english version of twst, so i thought "oh, let's go with twst then"! and i'm glad that i got enough courage to post my imagines :)

and if we're talking about this blog, i just wanted to reblog more ask games, memes and other good stuff, but i didn't want to do it on my writing blog, so i made this one instead!

i also think it's cool how i found songs from the crybaby era relatable when i was younger and now i relate more to the k-12 songs (especially wheels on the bus and drama club), it's like i grew up with melanie's music :) i'm very excited for her future album too!

If an oc of your choice had a dating sim/visual novel centered around them, what pre-existing sim/visual ost would the game have? For my girl yumeko, it would be tokimeki memorial.

ohh, interesting! i hope it's okay i did this not just for one of my ocs, it's just really fun fjfkldkdf. also tokimeki memorial ost fits yumeko so well, it has such a cute and peaceful vibe!

so the thing is that i'm planning to write a story for my twst ocs, but like.. it will be a completely original story and it won't be related to twst in any way. i just wanted to see what i can come up with for them. and i picked osts for hayden, allen, merrill and austin, since they will be the main characters! :D

this is hayden's theme. i'd love his theme to have this ~mysterious~ and elegant vibe to it, but i also wouldn't want it to be too creepy or intense, i guess? i think it would be nice if his ost would have this "ohh, i think there's something wrong with this guy, but i'm not sure" feeling. also, hayden is actually the protag of this story i'm working on AND HONESTLY I LOVE HIM AS A PROTAGONIST?? at first i wanted the protag to be avery or minnie, but idk, hayden just really fits the mystery genre and dark academia aesthetic of this story..

this is allen's theme (LISTEN YANSIM OST SLAPS OKAY AND IT FITS ALLEN WELL). if hayden and merrill act like completely different characters in this story (especially merrill, now he's one of the most.. um, morally grey characters, if i say so), allen is mostly the same, haha. i'd love his theme to be as cutesy as possible, this is the vibe that he's supposed to have! it would be cool for him to have a second, more slow and creepy theme. but honestly, even though i say that allen's non-twst version is not that different.. it feels deeper and more well-written to me. for example, he's not a yandere just for anyone now, instead he's EXTREMELY attached to hayden (and he has a good reason) and if anyone or anything tries to harm him.. yeah. but also, this version of allen is not that powerful and strong, because i thought "hm, how funny would it be for a spoiled rich kid to try and be this cool yandere character WITHOUT ANY EXPERIENCE IN KILLING OR FIGHTING?" so yes, every time allen tries to kill anyone, it's actually more difficult for him. he's done a lot of research, sure, he knows how to hide evidence and he can easily pay anyone to keep quiet, but it is NOT easy for him to actually kill people. most of the time he doesn't know what to do and i find it so funny dhjdjkkf (also i know that this is not a game, but misa's theme from death note would fit him too!!)

this is merrill's theme. i'd want his theme to have a more chill and relaxed vibe, because merrill definitely has that kind of energy! his non-twst version is this cool best friend and roommate of hayden and if his twst version at least tries to hide how lazy he actually is.. this merrill spends all his time ON HIS GODDAMN PHONE. also, this merrill doesn't look that strict and serious, i decided to make him show that flirty and relaxed side of his more often. however, remember how i mentioned that this merrill is a lot more morally grey?.. yeah, he still wants as much attention as he can get and even more and he's okay with doing anything for it. literally anything. even if it means putting others or HIMSELF in danger. his new backstory explains why he's so obsessed with attention and merrill's character is much deeper here.

and this is austin's theme! i think he'd definitely have a theme that would feel like danganronpa investigation ost. i'd want his theme to have this cool energy, it would fit his personality a lot! sure, austin acts like he's more dangerous than he looks like, but he's actually the most normal character out of these four. his backstory is quite sad in this version, but it's not as dramatic as other characters and even if it would be as dramatic, he wouldn't react to it like they would. though it is definitely a main reason why austin acts so hostile and aggressive now. also it would be nice for his ost to have this "mechanical"/electronic theme or sounds!

now, let me assign osts to two of my non-twst ocs :]

this would be kris's theme! you're allowed to make a deltarune joke now kris is actually the protag of that story i described in the tags, he's the "magic boy who wants to marry a magic princess". now, kris isn't really a hero, even though he wants to be one. he's a very selfish, rude and even cruel boy and he claims that the only people he cares about are himself and that princess. why is he so obsessed with marrying her though? does he even know her name, her personality, her interests? does he even truly love her?.. well, that doesn't matter. kris wants to believe that he loves her, so that everything will be easier and so that he won't have to accept that he needs her only for his own reputation and status, but in reality.. he doesn't care about her that much. and why exactly does he want to marry her? well, he's not a hans kinnie that's hayden's job, he's not doing this because he wants to become a king, he wants that, yes, but that's not the main part. kris is actually a very naive boy and he thinks that if he becomes a part of the royal family or if he becomes "a hero who saved the princess", everyone will love him. he doesn't believe that people will love him for his true self and he thinks that he needs to do something truly amazing and great to make people notice him.. or he just needs to be in a position of power.

this would be vincent's theme! vincent is the main villain of this story and he's kris's childhood friend who claims to be the victim of kris's bullying and teasing. he's sure that kris even got violent with him at some point and for the first half of the story it does feel like he's just a victim who wants revenge and you can understand why.. but then, you start to feel like vincent is not as innocent as he thinks he is. if kris is so violent and evil, then why he actually starts to change when he's around this new boy he met? why kris says that he remembers things from his past differently and he feels like vincent was the weird one? and why vincent's memories of kris are so different from what actually happened? well, the thing is that most characters here have some kind of a magic ability and vincent's ability is called "power of darkness", he can hypnotize people, they also can have hallucinations because of vincent's magic and he can even change their memory and make them believe that something completely different happened. and.. yeah, he did end up using his own magic on himself, because he couldn't accept that he started falling in love with his "friend" who is more stupid, more weak and just simply worse than vincent at literally everything. HE'S BASICALLY A CHAOTIC EVIL TSUNDERE. and now he believes that kris was the one who bullied him in the past and he wants to brainwash him and make kris his own servant in a way. that will show him how vincent felt all this time! but now that kris is on a different planet and vincent is forced to join some other villains because they think his magic is useful, it looks like his plans will have to wait..

top 5 horror games!

i'm not sure if some of these can be considered horror games, but i just went with what i like! thanks for sending this <3

(i kinda wanted to include danganronpa, but i personally see it simply as a "death game", rather than a "horror game"? basically i just don't find it that creepy hjnfkskdmj)

your turn to die/kimi ga shine (i'm not sure if this can be called a horror game, because it's a death game like dr, but it definitely creeped me out more than dr and also it's just very emotional and it actually made me cry once. also made me yell at my screen because i was really mad at some characters (well, let's be honest here, it was ONE character. i mostly like everyone there). 10/10 would recommend)

2. doki doki literature club (a little basic, but i still love this game a lot and it's very precious to me :') i'm very attached to ddlc girls and they still make me smile..)

3. therapy with dr.albert krueger + vincent: the secret of myers (these two games are connected to each other and they're from the same creator, so yeah, i went with both of them! the first one is very short, i completed it in like 30-40 mins, i probably could've finished it faster if it wasn't for the jumpscares and it has LOTS of those. usually i hate when games simply use jumpscares to scare you and it's the only creepy thing that's happening, but this one is an exception. also the color palette is everything to me. the second one's plot is more deep and it's much longer, i think it's still a work in progress)

4. needy girl overdose/needy streamer overload (i think it's more of a psychological horror like ddlc? i actually was very skeptical about it and i didn't like it that much at first, but when i played it, i actually enjoyed it quite a lot! but i hate this game for how relatable it is)

5. little nightmares 2 (i like both games, but i liked the sequel a bit more! the atmosphere of it is just.. wow. also the soundtrack IS SO GOOD)
