Nobody's talking about how Glinda called her "Elphaba" at the beginning of defying gravity (when she was mad) and when she softened she inmediatly switched to "Elphie". It's canon that she calls her by her whole name when she's angry.

i can’t believe that no one prepared me for the amount of gay text — nothing sub about it but elphaba in that bed dommed by glinda — in this movie. like glinda and elphie longingly staring at each other on a bed, glinda and elphaba laying awake thinking about each other, glinda brushing that tear off elphaba’s cheek while they danced, the constant hand holding and touching. and then on top of this, fiyero comes in and winks once and my bi ass really cannot take all of this

Has anyone started talking about the moments in Wicked (2024) when the figure of The Wicked Witch almost haunts the narrative? Not in “No One Mourns the Wicked” but after.

Before “Defying Gravity” it was just a particular shadow her hand cast on a book or a particular darkness that obscured Elphaba’s eyes when she put her hat on. Nothing big. No cackling or fire.

But instead of Elphaba seeing it, WE see it?? The figure creeping up towards her. The shape of how she’ll be seen, almost like an archetype or a tragic destiny, raising its head?? The pieces of her that will make the lie before we even get the final nails in the coffin. The figure we all know from cultural osmosis??

I saw it and need a gifset PLEASE.
