I am Constantly full of feelings

I do love that Ierec has ended up going in (at least) two canons, and he could not be more different in them. Kehsk (who belongs to @swtorcompanionsgoofin) unlocked the secret friendship box full of Somft. En’veshi just unlocked the bastard box, which is, predictably, full of more bastard.

But, like, it absolutely shows that Ierec is better at dealing with Sith than he is at working with other Force-blind people. Sith don’t pick up on his aura of bastard, because he’s very good at knowing what they want and emulating that; Kehsk in specific, though, is a Sith who thinks a lot more like a normal person, and that is somehow the very best possible thing to attach himself to. Together they would make one whole Sith and one whole normal person, but they’re both a weird mishmash and it works. It just works. I have some emotions, okay.

Codex - Ierec Astiaza

Bio

Born into an old Sith family, Ierec Astiaza had his life planned out for him from the start. He was the fourth child of his parents, heir to the family name and traditions but very little of its power; nevertheless, his elders had high expectations of him. Expectations he failed to meet. By the time he was ten, it was clear that he wasn’t just a late bloomer—he was entirely Force-blind, destined for a life of dutiful service rather than glory among the Sith.

It was easy for him to fade into the background at the family estate. He studied hard, bothered no one, and was mostly raised by droids—who he found to be rather permissive guardians, once he discovered his talent for slicing. His peers at the military academy he was sent to weren’t quite so easily handled, but he’d been raised to navigate Sith politics; while he never had much luck getting others to like him, he tended to maneuver them into doing what he wanted anyway.

These skills eventually found him in the employ of Imperial Intelligence, where he quickly attained the rank and designation Fixer Seventy-Two… and very little else. He was too recognizable for infiltration missions, and not quite good enough a liar to compensate; he could never quite win over his superiors, though no one could put their finger on why. While his competence is undeniable, there are only so many petty internal plots you can sniff out before you get bored—especially since most of them are just tax evasion schemes—and Ierec is too ambitious to be content where he is for much longer.

Likes: Affability, clever tricks, power plays

Dislikes: Pointless cruelty, giving up an advantage
