In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”  This verse may be paraphrased also to “O Yahweh, I have heard Your fame, and I bowed in reverent worship. O Yahweh, repeat Your doings of old in the midst of these current years of affliction; in the midst of these years of sorrow, demonstrate Your power; in wrath, remember mercy.” We are living in both peril times and exciting times for the born-again Christian that is awaiting the return of the Messiah. But between both, we also should have the same cry as did the Prophet Habakkuk that was praying for the Lord to show Himself in power once more. A revival speaks of things that were alive but are dying out and need to be brought back to life. We need a fresh outpouring of God’s live-giving Spirit on His people more than ever before saints.
