hey, i wanted to say that i’ve been reading your fic “Read All About It” and that it’s literally goals??! It has high quality writing and storytelling and characterization and it is so witty and cleverly funny. And God, Lance. What an absolute legend. He’s so overly dramatic, I love it. AND I also wanted to say that the fic gave me the same vibe as Young, Dumb & Broke by Khalid and Alfie’s Song by Bleachers! (and like, Lance’s confession is literally a Not So Typical Love Confession so...!)

Keith was born a witah (a being gifted with magical powers) as part of the Coven of the Red Lion. His childhood was made up of losses and tragedies. At 22, Keith owns a shop, Sola Corda, where he offers solutions and remedies to lost souls and solitary hearts. Keith avoids human contact outside his customers. But time is running out.

So when Keith put up posters looking for a shop associate, and Lance, a witah of the Coven of the Blue Lion, shows up at his doorstep, Keith knows that despite the magic that flows in his veins, Lance is the most fundamentally magic thing he’s ever seen. Lance with his big maelstrom blue eyes and smile brighter than the sun. Lance who seems to bear the inheritance of loss as well, and is running away from a past desperate to catch up to them.

And time is running out for these two lost souls, these two solitary hearts who will meet up at the crossroad of their strangely linked fate.

Regarding the Read All About It chapter 4 snippets. I feel like it is a miracle that Lance managed to not spontaneously combust. I would be dying if I were him. Bc of mortification over the fact that he got sooo drunk on his crush (which my brain misspelled into a mix between crutch & crunch at first for some reason) and the fact that said crush left him his bed to sleep on the floor?? Ugh, overload for hungover brain. Anyways. This fic is a blessing. Your Lance is a blessing. You are a blessing

I was listening to Sweet California’s version of Hey Mickey and. It got me thinking about Lance in Read All About It, with the upbeat rhythm and lyrics, being all like… Hey Keithy. (also, how about q & w for the writer ask, if no one asked you that already! =D)

OMG HEY KEITHY!!!!!!!! I absolutely love this. Happy, upbeat, “bubblegum pop” songs always give me Read All About It vibes!!!  

q: do you have a specific process for writing?

Kind of??? I’d say my preparation process for writing is pretty specific, but once I actually start the writing part, it just goes off in every direction lol. Before I write a chapter (or a one-shot), I make sure I know all the scenes I want to include. Certain scenes are very vivid inside my head, right down to every line of dialogue I know they’re gonna say. Others are a little more vague, and my notes will include something basic like “this is the section where they make up” or whatever. Then I just kinda feel it out as I go along.    

w: are you a planner or a pantser? or somewhere in between?

As I kinda just mentioned in the last answer, I think I’m somewhere in between! The build-up for my fics are always very planned out, but the creative process usually ends up taking me where it wants to go.
