Best Pole Dancing Poles For Your Home Ceiling Height
Tumblr media
Learning how to buy the best dance pole suited for your low, average, or high home ceiling height is the most critical choice because it creates a sense of safety and wellness when starting a pole dancing practice at home.  Researching the best dance pole for your unique home and use can be time consuming, so this article should simplify the buying process for you while simultaneously saving you time and money both now, and in the long run.
What Type Of Pole Dancing Pole Is Best For Home?
Removable dance poles are the most flexible when trying to figure out exactly where you want to dance.    Some people frequently move their poles from one room to another before they decide where to leave it.   As your fitness levels and dance training improves, sometimes you end up needing more space to dance than you did when you were a beginner. Other people want to take the pole down for discretionary reasons, like when your family comes to visit from out of state, or the family pastor comes over....... you get the idea.   A removable pole takes minutes to get down on average and can also quickly be put back up.   The easiest pole to put up and take down is the Lupit Classic removable dance pole. If you are renting your home or apartment and can't commit to leaving a dance pole in one spot for that reason, then a removable dance pole will be a perfect solution. Setting up your space for a dance pole has many components to consider like the right dance pole (of course), actual dance space used, stage and dance pole lighting for fun effects, and other common exercise equipment like space for a yoga mat to do stretches on.  That being said, setting up your dance space should be as fun and enjoyable as possible, after all, pole dancing for fitness is all about fun!   Removable dance poles allow for greater space creativity.
Are Pole Dancing Poles Safe?
Home dance poles are very safe IF you buy a good quality dance pole not made of cheap thin metal or plastic parts that break and has other safe features like secure joints and good quality rubber on the dome and base parts.   It must also be installed exactly according to the manufacturer instructions and should be installed under a ceiling joist, not under dry wall, a false ceiling or some other non-supportive surface. Most removable dance poles are a form of friction fit poles meaning they put pressure between the ceiling and floor.   It's essential that you learn about how to buy a safe brand of friction fit poles so you don't waste you money buying a dance pole that will come lose from the ceiling or break while you are dancing on it.
Best Features Of A Removable Dance Pole
No all removable dance poles are created equally so some will have more advantages than other removable dance poles depending on the brand you buy.   In general, you can expect the following benefits of owning a removable dance pole: - You don't have to commit to keeping your dance pole in one room. - You can take it to your friends house or a party. - You can take it down easily when you don't want someone seeing it or using it when you are not around. - You will have more options for various dance pole finish types.  Most permanent poles are chrome, stainless steel or brass.   Removable dance poles come in several colors of powder coated finishes like pink, black, red, etc. a well as brass, chrome, silicone, and stainless steel.   Learn how to choose the best finish type for you here -> - You will have more size options ranging from 40mm all the way up to 53mm.   Most non removable poles only come in 50mm or 45mm.  Learn how to choose the right size of dance pole here -> - You can make a removable dance pole semi-permanent which a ceiling mount that screws into the ceiling.   The mount will stay attached to the ceiling, but the pole can be taken down and placed in a closet or under the bed for example. - They easily adjust to different ceiling heights if you change you mind about the location in the future.   Some poles are more "adaptable" than others. - Most of them come with both spinning and static options. Best Pole Dancing Poles For Various Ceiling Heights
One of the most frequently asked questions and common confusions about buying a dance pole for home use is whether it will fit various ceiling heights.  While each dance pole has a ceiling height chart in the listing, it’s still a little confusing when there are so many dance poles to choose from. In addition, it’s time consuming to go to each individual pole and read its height chart to see if it’s a possible option for you and your home dancing space. Agonizing over the technicalities isn’t fun so I wanted to take the time and make this process easier for you, so you can spend more time enjoying your space and less time figuring out which pieces fit best. While there are very “common” ceiling heights in most homes, they can vary greatly.   And you might change your mind later down the road, so getting a removable dance pole will benefit you because most of them adjust to a range of ceilings heights with added dance pole extensions, not just one – Thank Goodness! Still, not all pole dancing poles are equally flexible with the range of ceiling heights they can be installed on so here is a little short cut to help you save time learning how to buy the right dance pole for you and your unique situation: Start by finding your ceiling height range in the titles below and then follow the subtitles to further narrow things down.  Please note these are GENERAL suggestions and tailored to the removable dance poles carried in the PoleFitnessDancing Shop which are the most reputable and frequently bought brands in the USA at the time this article was written. Best Dance Pole For Low or Short Ceilings below 7ft 4 inches: - Custom Cut Lil’ Mynx dance pole (comes in both spinning and static). Simply order the type of Lil’ Mynx pole you want and in the order notes request a custom cut for your ceiling.  Custom cuts are FREE of charge. - The X Pole X Pert model can be shortened by purchasing extra extensions and then replacing Main Pole A that comes in the standard Xpert kit. It’s a lot more expensive to do that as opposed to the Lil’ Mynx option above.   Get detailed instruction on how to do this here => - The PFD Chrome Pro Quality Pole can be shortened by purchasing an additional 500mm extension and using it to replace main pole B.  You can get detailed instructions on how to do this here => Best Dance Pole For Average Ceiling Heights between 7ft 4 inches and 9ft: - PFD Pro Quality Dance Pole is a more affordable option and good first-time pole on a budget. Comes in chrome,  black powder coated finish and titanium multicolour all in 45mm only. - X Pole Xpert Model dance poles are great quality and have the most options for extensions than any other brand of pole on the market making them more able to adjust to various ceiling heights. They also have to most variety in dance pole finish types including chrome, silicone, stainless steel, brass, pink powered coated, and black powder coated finishes.  They also have the most size options ranging from 40mm up to 53mm, not all sizes are available in all finish types. - Lil Mynx Dance poles have the advantage of a nicer appearance because you don’t have the joint or holes in the pole surface found in post removable and portable dance pole surfaces. They also have various finish types including chrome, stainless steel, black powder coated, and pink powder coated finishes.   - Lupit dance poles are the easiest to install with joints that slide together rather than “lock” or screw together. Sounds unsafe, but it’s not, I love mine.   Only two finish types are available – chrome and stainless steel.  There are two dance pole sizes available which are 42mm (which is a unique size to Lupit you won’t find in a different brand) and the standard 45mm as well.  Love Bling?  I do to, Lupit offers pole decorates with genuine crystals – something else you don’t see in other brands.   Best Dance Poles For Taller Ceiling Heights between 9ft and 10ft: - All the same exact poles in the section titled “Ceiling Heights between 7ft 4 inches and 9ft” above are still your options, the only difference is that you need to buy extra extensions to make the pole go above 9ft and reach up to 10ft. Each product listing has a link to it’s matching extensions. - Lupit Stage is a portable free standing dance pole that's very easy to install.  It stands about 9'6" inches high, stainless steel 45mm only.   Best Dance Poles For Tall Ceiling Heights between 10ft 1 inch and 11ft: - Most Free Standing dance poles with a stage base will fit this height. - PFD Pro Quality Dance Pole can go up to 10ft 5 inches but not more. Available in chrome, black powder coated finish and titanium multicolour - X Stage Lite or X Stage Standard is a portable dance pole with a stage base. You could easily take this outside, to the beach, or place it in any room you want where the stage base can fit. - Lil’ Mynx Rotator can be custom cut to go up to 11ft for an additional $20 fee. Lil Mynx Dance poles have the advantage of a nicer appearance because you don’t have the joint or holes in the pole surface found in post removable and portable dance pole surfaces. They also have to most variety in dance pole finish types including chrome, silicone, stainless steel, brass, pink powered coated, and black powder coated finishes.  They also have the most size options ranging from 40mm up to 53mm, not all sizes are available in all finish types. - Lupit dance poles can go up to 10ft 5 inches but NO more. They are the easiest to install with joints that slide together rather than “lock” or screw together. Best Dance Poles For Very High Ceiling Heights between 11ft and 14ft 3”: - A Free Standing Dance Pole With A Platform or Podium works great. - X Pole Xpert standard dance pole kits can be extended up to very tall heights with added extensions, HOWEVER, the higher you go, the more flex the pole has. If you are buying a pole with softer metal, like a brass dance pole for example, they will be even more flex.  For this reason, it is recommended that you switch to the Xpert Build-A-Pole when you get up to 11ft 10 inches.  The Xpert dance poles are great quality and have the most options for extensions than any other brand of pole on the market making them more able to adjust to various ceiling heights.  They also have to most variety in dance pole finish types including chrome, silicone, stainless steel, brass, pink and black powder coated dance pole finishes.  They also have the most size options ranging from 40mm up to 53mm, not all sizes are available in all finish types. - X Pole Xpert Build-A-Pole is essentially the same pole as the Xpert standard kits, only the main pole piece come in larger lengths and they are more reinforced (dual lines) to prevent the flexing. The downside is that you can only get them in chrome, brass, or stainless steel.  The sizes are limited too, only 40mm and 45mm. - X Stage Lite or X Stage Standard is a portable dance pole with a stage base extending up to 10ft high but doesn’t attach to the ceiling or floor at all. You could easily take this outside, to the beach, or place it in any room you want where the stage base can fit. - Lupit Stage is a portable free standing dance pole similar to the X Stage Lite, only it's a lot easier to install.  It stands about 9'6" inches high, stainless steel 45mm only.   I know his article was long, but I hope it helps clear up some confusion about what possibilities are available to you for a removable dance pole for your home.
