🟣1964 Meyers Manx Series I & 2022 Meyers Manx 2.0🟢 The Volkswagen Beetle-based beach buggy from the 1960s will be reborn as an electric buggy in the 2020s. The prototype will be presented at Monterey Car Week, with the first customer evaluation vehicles delivered in 2023 and full series production beginning in 2024, 60 years after the first Meyers Manx. The new generation is styled Meyers Manx CEO Freeman Thomas, better known as designer of vehicles like the original Audi TT and VW’s New Beetle. The new buggy has two rear-mounted electric motors that send up to 202hp to the rear wheels.
