Lately i've been with sakura in the head and like this concept came to my mind, 🐻 with me for a moment: so I know that it is an old concept that the child of those who were prodigies in x has, instead, a passion for and rebelliously wants to dedicate themselves to y (and yk the rest of history, follow your dreams, be your authentic self blah blah blah)

BUT lets think abt this concept with Sakura, our beloved rinharu fanchild, he would really love swimming, being one of the first ways he was taught to have fun and have a connection with both his parents and friends, the boy loves to go swimming and it's not bad at it, however, despite the enjoyment he derives from participating in tournaments with his team (and of course having the obligatory relay experience) his true passion is nothing more and nothing less than painting.

Yeah, Sakura loves to portray his feelings through brushstrokes instead of swimm strokes. In him there is a kind of talent inherited from his Nanase blood, a talent that Haruka has (remember how he carved and drew Iwatobi and the art club wanted to kidnap him) but which he never bothered to develop.

Im pretty sure the child would say something like "I only I paint free!" when it comes to the search for his style and the way in which, once he enters school, he determinedly refuses to do the same boring landscape over and over again.

Just imagine, a little Sakura drawing a picture of his family for the first time, Rin and Haru framing it and putting it in the room because they are just so proud of their little cherry blossom, Sakura seeing how happy drawing makes his dads and himself, keeps practicing harder and harder to better capture the image of his loved ones and favorite things...

Matsuoka's determination and Nanase's talent, How powerful can this child be?!?!

I've always love the way the artists represent the sea and imagining Sakura doing beautiful paintings of the coast, pools, water or things like that really gives me a lot of happiness.
