hello! i have now archived the original android .apk files for both 'high school story' and 'hollywood u: rising stars'.

i had originally archived hss when the servers shut down back on august 10th, 2022. as far as i can tell, hss is still working fine! unfortunately, hwu is not -- but at least it's archived.

I first got into art with pixel art, and my first game projects were all made with free assets pack, so y'know what: I thought it was only fair that i, too, made some packs of my own. Here's a tileset to create whole cities and kingdoms ! Free to use on any project even commercial. I'll probably update it later, with some different kinds of terrain, elevation... who knows.

Don't hesitate to share it around ! I only want to get credited... and please don't hesitate to tag me whenver you make something with it.

I released a free pack of character artwork on itch for use in non-commercial projects. This artwork was originally intended for a game, however the project has shifted and these assets are no longer needed. Rather than letting them sit on my hard drive and collect dust, the client suggested releasing them to all of you. So here I am doing just that.

I am really happy with these designs, especially their outfits. If you use them for any project of your own, I'd love to see it. <3

Just in time for Halloween!

I made an 8-bit horror asset pack that's Pay-What-You-Want and CC0. If you know anyone that makes games or wants to get into making games, all my assets are that model. Free and open source.

I've held on to these for a second and honestly just needed to organize the files correctly. I have several asset packs like that I plan on releasing a lot more asset packs for both game designers and graphic artists in the next year. If you want to keep track of what I make, following me on itch.io is a good way to do it!

Been watching a playthrough of the recently-released Princess Peach: Showtime! It's very cute and fun; I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how it ended up being structured. ^^

The other day I heard that some people were mocking the game, calling it too easy and silly and childish, and most notably, comparing it to the Kirby series. Well, as a Kirby fan, I take that as a compliment! :D The similarities ARE noticeable, and if HAL were to try making a Kirby game that leaned into PPS's particular strengths-- theatrics, characterization, episodic storytelling, and a heavy emphasis on REALLY COOL VISUALS-- I would be overjoyed. ^^

Since Kirb is kind of a simple character with a limited (and already well-established) range of expression, I doubt they'd try it with him, but I think any one of the franchise's fan-favorite side characters would fit right into the formula. MK, DDD, Magolor, even Bandana Dee could work. I'd really love to see them in a game like that...now I have something else to wish for and dream about, I guess~

I unfortunately wasn’t able to do all of the suggestions because I either already did them in the past or couldn’t think of a way to make anything.
