Jogos Competitivos - Os Mais Assistidos

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Funky Parisian theme, French radio station playing in the cafe while eating the freshly made crepes and coffee.
It was like a little unexpected slice of Paris in the middle of Petaluma. Fear of missing out keeps investors in stocks despite risks
Local vanity Numbers:
NEW YORK, (Reuters) – Wall Street’s fear of missing out on a relentless rally appears to be trumping rising political risk in a high-stakes December in Washington.
Traders react at the closing bell on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, (NYSE) in New York, U.S., November 30, 2017. REUTERS/Brendan McDermid
The ticking clock on the Republican Party’s efforts to cut corporate taxes, alongside the risk that the U.S. government may shut down if a budget deal isn’t reached by December 8, is increasing the levels of political risk for investors – but they have yet to really react.
“Right now the market is assuming that everything will work out, but you’ve got a tremendous number of moving parts,” said Phil Orlando, chief equity market strategist at Federated Investors (FII.N) in New York.
Alongside the back-and-forth on taxes, Wall Street will be watching a Dec. 8 expiration date for funding needed to keep the U.S. government open alongside the deadline when the U.S. Treasury hits its limit on borrowing; as well as a Dec. 12 Special U.S. Senate election in Alabama.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump warned on Twitter that “I don’t see a deal” to keep the government open and work past Dec. 8, although the White House said Wednesday it did not see such an eventuality.
Typically, the threat of a government shutdown alone would prompt fund managers to move more of their assets into cash. The benchmark S&P 500 lost 2.6 percent in the eight trading days before the last government shutdown in 2013, and has declined an average of 0.6 percent during government shutdowns overall, according to LPL Financial. Debt limit concerns are likely to be put off until 2018 as the U.S. Treasury is expected to take steps to postpone any need for action by Congress.
Yet with the benchmark S&P 500 up nearly 18 percent for the year to date, some portfolio managers see a greater risk in stepping to the sidelines. Throughout the year, the stock market has rallied in the face of standoffs ranging from increasing tensions in North Korea to former FBI director’s James Comey’s testimony to Congress that President Trump fired him to undermine the agency’s Russia investigation.
On Friday, stocks sold off on a report that former national security adviser Michael Flynn was prepared to tell investigators that before taking office Trump had directed him to make contact with Russians. However, shares quickly pared those losses.
Despite his skepticism, Orlando has yet to move more of his assets to cash, in large part because corporate earnings keep rising and should continue to do so even if a tax package is not signed, he said.
If the tax bill fails, Orlando said he expected the S&P 500 to fall by as much as 10 percent. He would be a buyer in that case, he said, because he expected the S&P 500 to reach 3000 within the next 18 months.
CROWDED CALENDAR
Brian Peery, a portfolio manager at Novato, California-based Hennessy Funds (HNNA.O), said a government shutdown or the tax bill failing would prompt a swift sell-off, but that rising consumer confidence would ultimately continue to push the market higher over the next year.
“If I‘m looking at a 10 percent correction, I‘m a buyer,” he said.
The inaction is not limited to the stock market.
Christopher Ryon, a municipal bond fund manager at Santa Fe, New Mexico-based Thornburg Investment Management, said that the Republican tax bill could reduce the size of the municipal bond market by 25 to 30 percent by limiting the ability of stadiums, airports and privately-financed toll roads to qualify for tax-exempt status.
At the same time, there could be an increased demand for municipal bonds if residents of high-tax states are no longer able to deduct their full state and local property taxes, leaving tax-free municipal bonds as one of the few ways wealthy investors can reduce their taxable incomes.
As a result, Ryon is largely sitting on his hands, ignoring both lower-rated bonds that have rallied as investors have reached for yield and triple A rated bonds that look “on the rich side,” he said.
“There are a whole lot of unintended consequences attached to this [tax] legislation,” Ryon said. “This is going to be an interesting couple of weeks where we will really see how the sausage gets made.”

Softball splits Sunday to Capture SCAC Series Win over Trinity
Source: http://udallasathletics.com/sports/sball/2016-17/releases/20170312vxxw82
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team won game one Sunday with a 3-2 victory to secure its first winning conference series opener since 2014 at Centenary College. It was also the team's 5th regular season victory head-to-head against Trinity University, but that stretch ended in the finale after the home team blanked Dallas 2-0. There was a combined total of 14 runs in this four-game set, with no more than three (all UD wins) being etched by a single side.
GAME ONE INFORMATION
Team Scores: University of Dallas (3), Trinity University (2)
Team Records: Dallas (5-10, 3-0 SCAC), Trinity (2-11, 1-6 SCAC)
Pitcher of Record: W) Galvan (3-3) L) Glomb (1-6)
NOTABLE STATISTICS
- Lety Morales (Fontana, Calif.) went 1-for-3 including the eventual game-winning RBI.
- Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas) and Allie Driskill (Houston, Texas) each drove in a runner and contributed a hit at some point.
- Jade Miller (Plano, Texas) snapped her seven-game hitting streak but walked to keep her on-base streak rolling. She also scored a run.
- Other players garnering hits included: Melanie Savala (Bryan, Texas), Baylee Leifester (Belton, Texas), and Lauren Galvan (Bryan, Texas).
- Galvan's big stats came from in the circle on consecutive days. The righty evened her win/loss record at 3-3 and prevailed in her 4th seven-inning complete game on the campaign. She worked around 10 hits and two runs (1 earned). She struck out a pair.
- Trinity was led by Adrienne Edwards (2-3) and Danielle Ruiz (2-3) on RBI-doubles.
- Sara McCarty added a 2-for-4 for the other multiple hit outing.
- Katie Glomb was saddled with six hits, three runs (2 earned), a walk, and two strikeouts recorded through seven innings on her final line.
- The Tigers left 10 stranded while UD had seven players left on base.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders struck first with Miller walking with one out and advancing to third on a single from Savala. The third baseman stole second and Driskill notched an RBI on the groundout to first and Miller raced home.
Trinity evened the board in the bottom of the second inning. Edwards started off by reaching on an error and went to second on a single through the left side by Stephanie Crumrine. Ruiz pounded a double to left center and evened the score and put two more runners in scoring positon with none retired. However, Dallas' defense got a tag out on a Hailey Wilson fielder's choice at home to keep everything knotted. Mackenzie Hill was one-of-two strikeouts and McCarty grounded out to third get Galvan away from further damage.
The Tigers left a pair on the next two innings in their attempts to bat. It was UD that regained the lead in the top of the 5th as Galvan reached on a fielding miscue at short. Two batters later, Kotlar singled to right and scored Galvan who moved to second on the previous play that was a groundout. The Crusaders maintained the pressure with Kotlar stealing second and Miller and Savala both gaining a spot on the basepaths respectively following an error and hit by pitch. Driskill flied out to keep the game 2-1 and leave the bases loaded.
Trinity immediately countered on a Rebecca Berreth single to left at the start of the bottom half. Trevino sacrifice bunted and Edwards doubled to the left center gap and tied the score.
It was the Crusaders that had the final run, which came for the 3rd straight half-inning in a row. Leifester singled up the middle with one out. Galvan beat out a single to short after UD had a strikeout for the second out. Morales then dropped a single to right and drove Leifester as the go-ahead run.
Galvan avoided runners in scoring positon the next two home innings and secured UD's 3-0 start. Dallas had won 4-of-6 and strung together its longest winning streak of the season.
GAME TWO INFORMATION
Team Scores: University of Dallas (0), Trinity University (2)
Team Records: Dallas (5-11, 3-1 SCAC), Trinity (3-10, 2-6 SCAC)
Pitcher of Record: W) Castillon (2-5) L) Lee (2-6)
NOTABLE STATISTICS
- Dallas posted a series-low three hits.
- Miller tallied one of the knocks and extended her stretch of games to reach base safely in to nine.
- Driskill posted her 3rd hit and had one in three-of-four games this series.
- Christina Torre (Novato, Calif.) recorded her first base hit of the year.
- Katie Lee (Houston, Texas) was given a hard loss in the circle after allowing two runs on six hits through six frames. She walked one and struck out one in her 105th career pitched game.
- UD pitching only has allowed no more than three earned runs in the last five contests.
- Her counterpart for the Maroon was just better as Katie Castillon went the distance and fanned six while blanking the Crusaders. She allowed three singles and walked a pair.
- Berreth tallied a multiple hit game (2-3) and scored a run. Trevino and Crumrine each had an RBI. Leah Rubio doubled for the only extra base hit in either game by either side.
HOW IT HAPPENED
It was quiet on the scoreboard until the 4th inning. Dallas did produce scoring chances the first two innings. Miller singled to left and stole second (13th on season) after only one was gone. However, the Crusaders did not advance her around.
In the second inning, Dallas left two on base. Both runners were free passes surrendered back-to-back to Leifester and Stephanie Cervantes (Temecula, Calif.). With only one batter out, the next two flied to right and struck out looking.
Other than that, the road team smacked a hit in the 4th and 5th innings. In the latter frame, the Crusaders had a runner in scoring position. Torre singled down the right field line. Shannon Sheeley pinch ran and was sacrificed over on a bunt to second by Morales. Sheeley did advance to third a player later but Miller lined to short and kept the deficit at one at that moment.
Trinity broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the 4th. Berreth singled to cent and advanced 60 feet on the next two at bats. Crumrine singled to right and drove in the go-ahead run with two outs. The Tigers got some insurance from Trevino hitting a ball to right. Hilary Hoffman singled up the middle to start the 6th she advanced on a passed ball. After Berreth bunted a hit back to the pitcher, that put runners on the corner for the second run to come in on the next at bat. Trinity did have a chance to add on, but the defense made some key outs on the grounders and kept the deficit at two.
Castillon was on fire again for the second time this series and pitched a perfect 7th to get the win. She combined for 14 punch outs in 12 innings over two starts.

Fear of missing out keeps investors in stocks despite risks
Local vanity Numbers:
NEW YORK, (Reuters) – Wall Street’s fear of missing out on a relentless rally appears to be trumping rising political risk in a high-stakes December in Washington.
