Hey what was Frederic and Arianna’s wedding like? And Arianna’s coronation? Was it grande?? I’m so sorry but I want a few details😭

The few scenes I have drafted for the wedding and coronation are from Arianna's pov so they're mostly... blurry XD

It's a royal wedding so people come from all over the continent to see it. There's a million rules and protocols to adhere to. Frederic's a new king who's having to learn a lot of these protocols himself, he isn't really there to help Arianna learnt the way he was at the start of their relationship.

Arianna mentions in one of the fics that she didn't get a chance to talk to her mother at the wedding, so imagine how busy she was!

The coronation is part of the same event as the wedding, same way Rapunzel's coronation was a weekend. I think Arianna's coronation would be the day after the wedding, and she actually made several mistakes in protocol during this event which haunt her to this day.

Nothing major but instead of facing the crowd she went over to Frederic after receiving her crown and that was mortifying for her.

But after it all, she'd sit outside with Frederic under the night sky, just processing the fact it was official.

"You're my husband..."

"You're my wife..."

"I'm your queen."

"You already were."

"I'm Corona's queen."

"And you'll be the best this kingdom has ever seen."

They're both young and terrified of messing up. But they're also both so excited for their life together, for the family they'll build and the difference they'll be able to make.

And a week later Arianna is going to be so sick of the taste of wedding cake because who in Corona's history decided a tier for each generation of kings and queens that came before you was a good idea?!?!?

She's given so much away to servants and guards and random people who came to visit. But there's still more!!!

I just realized something the other day and I’m not entirely sure if it’s a plot hole or not

So of course we all know ZT breaks out the decay incantation during the fight it’s spreading through the entire kingdom

It’s slowly killing everyone

So why the heck aren’t Cass and Rapunzel affected??? 🤨 The rocks that make up their cage also turned black, and clearly ZT’s method for the incantation doesn’t need to be heard or anything, it just spreads. It just makes no sense. Especially when you factor in the facts ghat Rapunzel is no longer protected and Cass has been touched by the decay incantation

Disney Parents Backstory Tangled Version!

So here's what I've come up with for Rapunzel's parents. We know that Arianna used to adventure with Willow and that they competed in the Contest of Crowns, and yet they don't appear to be princesses of one of the Seven Kingdoms. So I had the idea that this is how the Princess and the Pea story goes in the DisneyVerse!

Young Arianna travels through Corona who's once again hosting the contest, and decides to join in as it seems fun and hey, she and Willow are princesses as well!

Prince Frederic's mother is less then enthused at this young nobody claiming to be a princess winning all these events for royalty, as she had decided to use the contest as a way to find a suitable wife for her son. Frederic, however, is head over heels for this beautiful talented adventurer and makes sure to help her win the last-minute "challenge" his mother sets up to test Arianna--the infamous pile of mattresses and the pea underneath.

Meanwhile, with Eugene's Parents I think they'd fit well with the "Man meets Odd Traveling Companions and they help him win a Princess' hand" storyline

When you've got a place with a name and the vibe of "The Dark Kingdom" well you're just gonna attract wicked sorcerers. Its prime evil tower real estate!

So young Prince Edmund is sent to run him off, and in the process of scoping out the tower he meets the sorcerer's young daughter, a beautiful young maiden named Hortensia.

(I wanted a name to link Eugene's birthname too, and Hortensia works well as a feminine version of Horace xD)

They start talking and meeting secretly, and she helps Edmund avoid her father's raven spies. But she herself is trapped and unable to escape due to her father's power.

Eventually they're discovered, and the sorcerer, mostly to amuse himself, gives Edmund three impossible tasks to fulfill in order to marry Hortensia when Edmund states his feelings towards her.

So Edmund, determined to free her, goes off on his journey to do the tasks and along the way he meets young Quirin, Hector and Adira, helps them with whatever trouble he finds them in and so they form The Brotherhood, and they later use their special skills (and some secret help from Hortensia, through the ravens she's managed to turn to her aide) to fulfill the tasks, and eventually defeat the evil sorcerer once and for all.

The three companions find a new home and family in Edmund's court, Edmund and Hortensia are happily married and she has control of her father's ravens now, which she starts training to listen to Edmund as well, and the little chick seen in her hand in the portrait in the show turns out to be baby Hamuel.

y'all want to know what always makes me emotional? thinking about how arianna and frederic took cassandra in at the worst point in their entire life. i think about arianna particularly, i believe she had to convince frederic to let her stay. where he, at least at first, likely saw a bitter and painful reminder of his missing daughter, arianna saw a sweet and innocent child.

i mean really think about it for a sec--it wasn't long at all after rapunzel's disappearance, that cap must have gotten the official 'yes' to take cass as his ward. of course i feel bad for frederic in that time period, but i feel even moreso for arianna. carrying a baby for 9 months, almost dying to birth her, and then having her kidnapped is something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. the pain she felt must have been utterly unbearable. think of how much grace and compassion she must have had to, immediately after losing her child, allow the captain of her guard to take on and raise an adopted daughter. even setting aside cass' lineage.

to be honest i think it largely speaks to the way they govern corona. sure cough frederic cough has his...moments, but generally they both act with benevolent intentions. cass is their subject but it'd have been easier in every sense of the word to cart her off to some orphanage. let's be real, king trevor would have done it in a heartbeat. but they allowed her to stay, they gave her a home. and that in and of itself, the fact that cass is a character in tangled the series and not just gothel's forgotten daughter, makes me oh so emotional. :')

I don’t remember when but I do know u had mentioned one time that Frederic and Arianna’s relationship was secretive at first. Especially from Fred’s father. So how did everyone find out about their relationship? Did Frederic and Arianna tell Fred’s father about their relationship or were they spied on and were eventually found out? Idk but that last option sounds a little too cliche like out of a film😭

Well, they definitely didn't tell him, at least not in a traditional 'Greetings Father, this is my partner Arianna' way.

I'm actually not entirely sure at what point Frederic's father finds out. I know when the world finds out, it's at a ball in which Frederic brings Arianna as his partner. There's quite a bit of drama leading up to it, internal not external this time. Frederic gets Arianna an expensive dress which she feels is him insulting her wardrobe but was actually because he knew her favorite colour was purple and realises she didn't have any purple dresses.

But there's a good possibility his dad knows about the relationship prior as my outline right now has a few intense scenes where they support one another quite openly in front of him... But once I get into writing I could easily just drag those scenes back and place them after the ball. It really just depends on how the story plays out.

Frederic's dad doesn't approve of Arianna as a partner, but at least at the very start doesn't really believe Frederic is in a serious relationship so it doesn't bother him. It's only when Arianna starts standing up to him and Frederic standing by her side that he realises this woman has to go.

what are some of your rapunzel headcanons?

i have quite a lot but i'll narrow it down to my fave ones !!!

rapunzel is on the spectrum !! i think punzie would have asd-1, and have a few special interests, specifically related to art !!!

i think rapunzel would eventually become a vegetarian, because she loves animals so so much !! :D

eugene is 100% a cat person, but everyone thinks he's a dog person. he would do anything to have a kitty snuggle on him. i think he'd feed the stray cats in corona !!

lance & eugene are best of friends and love to spend time together, and one of their fave things to do would be going out for karaoke, and they try to keep it a secret from the others

varian & rapunzel enjoy doing puzzles together, but they specifically love the crazy huge ones, and rapunzel always saves the finished ones !!!

cassandra will come to visit every so often, and rapunzel always makes a huge event of it. cassandra will often bring gifts from her travels for everyone, even eugene (begrudgingly). they have a room in the castle for her, just for when she visits.

rapunzel never gets another lady in waiting after cassandra, because it makes her miss her too much

the king and queen invite varian and quirin to live in the castle, but quirin wants to stay close to where his wife once was, and varian wants to stay close to his dad, so they decline

rapunzel and arianna spend a lot of quality time together, and especially love painting and going on picnics, just the two of them !!

There’s something really interesting I just noticed here, look at the way Rapunzel paints her family. Raps and Arianna are painted very similarly, super bright and vibrant colors. And meanwhile look at Frederic. Not only is he the only one in blue, he looks super pale and desaturated compared to the rest of the family. Almost like him/his depression is casting a slight shadow over the family. And on top of that, look how Frederic is also the only one sitting on Rapunzel’s hair, a subtle reflection of how he stifles and restricts her.
