Movie Night - A Metropolis highschool!AU collab comic

Script is written by @zannenilsson and art is by me! It takes place in the same universe/timeline as Class of '26, or: The Metropolis High School AU Nobody Asked For by Zanne on AO3, and this comic stars Georgy and Josaphat (and Josaphats mum). They're watching Labyrinth (1986), converations and emotional stuff ensues!

Okay hear me out.

In Metropolis (Lang, 1927), the relationship between Josaphat and Freder appear today as giving strong gay vibes.

And I couldn’t help myself to find some parallels with Good Omens. (Like Josaphat would be Crowley and Freder would be Aziraphale)

- Freder was in a sort of new Eden

- Josaphat is a kind of fallen angel, as he is fired by Joh (Freder’s father, creator of the city, making him kinda like god).

- Freder question the morality of his father, go to the « mortal » world (the city of workers) with Josaphat, and learn their sufferings etc (like Aziraphale going on earth and stuff).

- even with all the suffering he witnessed, Freder believe in a solution that would bring everyone together

- Freder is the weak point of Josaphat when the spy come to his house.

- But it was mainly THIS. POSE.

them <<<<<3 was there actually homoerotic undertones in this movie at ALL or am i reading too much into it because I'm starved for queer representation (despite consuming quite a lot of queer content) EITHER WAY I ship them, they are in love TO ME <<3 and in the movie they love each other for SURE like you can tell they care deply for each other. and cant keep their hands off each other and just have to talk w their faces 10 cm apart okay

you see this??? you see why I ship Freder w Georgy and Josaphat??? They love each other so much!!!!! Especially Freder and Josaphat I think but also him and Georgy, like the tenderness and sorrow when Georgy died was ripping out my soul HE TOOK A KNIFE TO SAVE FREDER maybe to like apologise for breaking the promise like he went to Yoshiwara instead of Josephats place. but dude QwQ thinking of how Freder ran to help Georgy by the clock maschine, just desperately wanting to help him, do ANYTHING to relieve his exhaustion.. QwQ in some alternative universe he lived and they all (Maria too) live happily togheter in a polycule <<3
