Comments: YAS STILES WEREWOLF AU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. This fic is  a m a z i n g. I guess if Stiles ever turned into a werewolf this would definitely be the way stydia would happen: Stiles too worried about his new powers and what he might do to his loved ones, and Lydia doubting about his feelings for her, like if it was even possible a universe in which stiles stilinski doesn’t love lydia  martin. We don’t often get to see an insecure lydia which is so wrong ‘cause i feel like she has a lot of insecurities about his and her feelings. And the mild smut scene was sooo good, i loved it!

Description: Stiles is a were-wolf. Lydia confesses her feelings to him and when they kiss or more he gets scared he’s going to hurt her.

Genre: Romance, Smut, Angst.

hello during a random celebration, the day and month of which have absolutely no significance regarding the number of days you’ve spent on earth

(A/N: please excuse the silly and excessive title. it’s @frankiedart‘s birthday, which means it’s ficlet time!! i hope you enjoy this.)

Jeff is woken up by Annie climbing over him onto their bed, setting a mug of black coffee down on the nightstand in the process, and presenting him with a freshly baked muffin. (He knows it’s freshly baked because the entire apartment smells like banana nut bread.)

There’s an unlit candle stuck in the center.

“Annie,” he says, a warning in his voice.

“I know what you’re going to say,” she says, “and I’d like to call your attention to the date.”

Jeff grabs his phone. “November 4th.”

“Exactly,” she says. “Just a random day. Chosen for it’s total lack of significance.”

He shakes his head. “Are you really trying to throw me a non-birthday birthday party?”

“Oh, I’m not just trying,” she scoffs. “I’m going to succeed.” 

He goes to protest, but she’s kissing him before he can fully form the words. 

“Resistance is futile,” she says against his lips.

After they break apart, Jeff rolls his eyes and holds out his hand, accepting the muffin. “Fine. What torture do you have planned for today?”

Annie squeals and hugs him around the neck. “Get dressed. We’re going shopping!”

“I can’t believe you’re going to make me choose,” Jeff pouts, considering both coats.

“Oh, that’s rich,” Annie says as she checks the cleaning instructions on the Burberry trench. “Mr. Doesn’t Want to Celebrate is complaining about not being spoiled enough now?”

“If I let you throw a party on my actual birthday, will you buy me both of these?”

“Only if you’re also willing to commit to eating nothing but ramen noodles for the next six months.”

Jeff harrumphs. “Point taken. It’s just such a shame. They both fit me so well.” He runs his hand over the soft material of the cashmere overcoat forlornly.

“Do you want to go spend another hour staring at them in the dressing room mirror before making a decision?” Annie asks, cocking her head and smirking up at him.

He bends down to kiss her nose. 

“You know me so well.”

“This is ridiculous,” She says later, poking at the tiny serving of fish on her oblong, rectangular plate. “How does anyone get full eating here?”

“This place isn’t about gorging, Annie,” Jeff says as he swirls the scotch around in his glass. “It’s about the experience. About atmosphere and elegance.”

“You should be writing ad copy for them,” she says, rolling her eyes.

“Do you not like your food?” he asks, concern bringing his eyebrows together.

“No, I love it! I just wish I had ten times as much.”

He grins. “Thank you for bringing me here. It means a lot to me that you put aside your vendetta against culture to get us a reservation.”

She scoffs, but her cheeks flush a lovely pink and she smiles down at her lap.

Jeff reaches across the table to grab her hand. “Seriously. Thank you. Today was awesome.”

She nods and brings his hand up to her mouth so she can kiss each of his fingers. “You’re welcome. Happy Non-Birthday.” 

“May I have approximately 364 more of them this coming year,” he says, raising his glass to toast.

She clinks her water cup against it. 

“Cheers.”
