the crow plotline had to be poorly written so that the s&b plotline could thrive
#the s&b plotline is so well written imo#it’s fixes a lot of the flaws of the book series#esp the darkling/alina n mal/alina#framing the darkling n alinas relationship correctly as abusive and alina as a survivor of it#the scene w alina and baghra was so sweet#but break up between mal and alina is 100x better written#mal isn’t toxic and controlling in the show#he loves her but he’s rightly upset that he doesn’t seem to be a priority to her all#even though that’s not true i can’t blame him for feeling that way homeboy literally got kidnapped and had to get himself out#n the first thing alina does is yell at him#so so so much better written
