I think it's less that I dislike Ms. Blake, and more that I dislike what the show is forcing between Ms. Blake and Derek.

Because you're right. On her own, Ms. Blake is fine. She's a small character we've only just met and, although she maybe spends a little too much time at school ; ) , there hasn't really been anything offensive about who her character is as a person.

But the dynamic between her and Derek? I just can't. Because there IS no dynamic. Derek doesn't even KNOW her. And even if he did, he wouldn't act that way. I mean, he wasn't even half as nice to his own SISTER. Who he'd thought was DEAD. Because that's not how Derek shows affection. He shows it by pushing people, sometimes too aggressively. And when he REALLY cares about you, he's not above completely shoving you out of his life if he thinks it'll make you safer (case in point: Isaac, 3x05). 

If Derek REALLY cared about Ms. Blake, he'd be pushing her far, FAR away. He would never let himself get involved with someone he thought he could like right in the middle of an Alpha pack invasion.

Please let this all be part of some secret master plan. *whimper*

it's just a trend that turned supernatural into a bro-fest where the writers avoid writing characters who can be mistaken for love interests because they think the fans wont like that and like you said this is where we vent our inner thoughts these are my inner thoughts

I didn't say the scene is racist in the context of the show; I said it was muddy. I don't know how Jeff wrote his universe it may be ideally colorblind as it is apparently blind to sexuality. If that's all you want to know then there, I don't know if it's actually racist within the narrative. Obviously the argument has been made "Stiles was just mad." I don't care about the character or writer's intentions. 

Did I or did I not make it clear that it is racist within the context of our own society? Maybe I used one too many a metaphor. What I meant when I said that the narrative doesn't speak to the fictional universe and that it resounds here is exactly that. It has no (or muddy) implications in a fictional universe, but HERE it triggers people, here where poc are frequently compared to the likeness of animals, here where people have REAL feelings, HERE it has real implications, real consequences. Nobody is allowed to tell people offended by this scene that it's not racism and that it's not something they should be offended about.

Hello, You said that you're a little disappointed that the trailer doesn't change much, and then mentioned the (admittedly mind blowing) meta. But you also have to remember that by association to said meta, we all know that the characters are still facing the same difficulties. For the credits to change would have meant that their challenges have evolved/mitigated, something which till now, is not true. I think it's good that the credits are more or less the same, they are still transitioning.

Hey, everyone's entitled their opinion. You're allowed to love it (and you're not the only one! And that's cool! 147lbsofsarcasm  made a post analysing the opening sequence a little and pointing out things that we might deduce from them in which she raises some interesting points), but I'm also allowed to be disappointed in how little we get about Allison, Derek and Stiles, and also the complete lack of Isaac.

Obviously, the changes and struggles they face are still similar in the grand scheme, but with the new plot of s3 I think there could've been made more adjustments to show what specific threats and challenges they deal with this season.
