I have never been let down.

Today, I was thinking about things that have let me down. Family, friends, even myself. Who can we depend upon? I decided Jesus is the only one that has never let me down, abandoned me, or lied to me. People aren't perfect, they will break your heart. The ones you give your life too will hurt you over and over, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not.... Your children will hurt you from time to time. Your parents may be the ones that hurt the most. Nature? Completely unreliable, on that I can't depend. The Government- don't make me laugh...

...but God never let me down. He has been there for me, made me promises I have trouble accepting, loved me through all my faults and failures, forgiven me my sins through the blood of his own son- without any assurance that I would even accept his son's love, he sacrificed him for me.

This world will let you down. The people here. The Earth itself will only sustain so much. Everything here is futile. Material things will not bring joy to you in a way that is permanent. On God, I can depend, and this world has lost it's grip on me. Whatever comes, whatever may happen, my security, my hope is in Jesus hands and no other.

GOD I HAD A SITUATION ABOUT THIS
