               clark  sucked  in  a  breath,  eyes  focusing  on  the  agent  before  him.  what  she  said  struck  a  chord  with  him,  not  because  he  found  it  profound  or  fascinating,  but  because  a  part  of  him  knew  the  inner  workings  of  indecision  all  too  well.  it  took  on  a  voice  in  his  head  the  journalist  battled  with  at  times  to  no  avail.  he  couldn’t  always  find  an  answer  and  certainly  not  always  the  answer  he  wanted.

              ❛  we  live  in  a  world  where  every  move  we  make  feels  monumental.  that  every  choice  will  change  our  lives  and  the  thought  that  we  may  make  the  wrong  one  sits  heavy  on  our  shoulders.  maybe  it’s  better  to  sit  still  and  worry  about  the  what  ifs  and  the  decisions  we  could  be  making  had  we  the  courage  to  make  them  in  the  first  place.  ❜  he  sighed,  taking  off  his  glasses  briefly  to  clean  them  before  setting  them  back  on  his  nose  and  pushing  them  up  with  an  index  finger.

She seems so out of it, almost like she’s on a cloud where nothing can worry her, except this cloud brings her worries with her. When he scoots closer and takes her hand in his own, that’s when she squeezes it, afraid that the worry is more than evident on her face. “I know you don’t Alex and sometimes that’s the problem, you’re way too kind and you’re so…… you’re really ahead of your time, you know?
