Formafatal: This project is the very first “rammed earth” implementation in Costa Rica. We completely used clay soil from the excavations for the construction of all perimeter bearing walls. Near Uvita town, on a plot of 11,000 square meters at a height of 300 m above the sea, I designed two small villas on a hill overgrown with a jungle. Both villas, partly levitating above the steep southern slope, are designed for short-term recreational rentals. Casa-refugio de ADR en las Montañas de los Gigantes

Ubicado a más de 1.000 metros de altitud en las Montañas de los Gigantes, que dividen República Checa y Polonia, se alza el HAJ Cottage, una segunda vivienda de 242 m2 diseñada por ADR.

Integrándose en el Parque Nacional de Krkonoše, el edificio respeta la arquitectura local y se fusiona con la naturaleza circundante. Consta de dos volúmenes entrelazados: uno rectangular y otro de planta baja con techo plano.

En la planta baja se encuentran áreas comunes, cocina, comedor y garaje, mientras que en el ático hay tres dormitorios. Las fachadas, revestidas de madera de alerce, junto con la base de piedra, permiten que la casa se integre naturalmente en el entorno. Destaca el sistema de almacenamiento de madera para la estufa principal, aportando tanto estética como funcionalidad. Colaborando con Formafatal en el interiorismo, el HAJ Cottage se erige como un ejemplo destacado de arquitectura contemporánea de montaña.
