Is there a specific word for a man who wants to grow a full beard but isn't capable of growing a beard?
We do have many very specific words for sure. For this, I can only think of the concept of „Der Milchbubi“ = milk face, milksop, which is slightly dated but still funny.

One of the most underrated cartoons of the 2000’s is Kids WB’s Legion Of Superheroes in the 31st century, I was already a big fan before the animated series was aired, season 1 was a great intro to the Legionaries and their universe, the DC Legion of superheroes comic series based on the animated series was an expanded look of their characters and universe, in issue 6 it features the green lantern core of the 31st century known as the teen lanterns and in issue 19 booster gold makes an appearance. Season 2 of the animated series steps up its game and delivers an amazing action adventure series unlike the legionaries had ever faced. It’s ashamed that the animated series only lasted for two seasons and it’s merely forgotten both seasons are now available for digital download on amazon. #legionofsuperheroes #legionofsuperheroesinthe31stcentury #saturdaymorningcartoons #forgottencartoons https://www.instagram.com/p/BqBASrjlduW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xpoagja61c17

I was tagged by the lovely Rabbittrabbitt
physical book or ebook: Nowadays I’m leaning towards digital format. “I’m just a simple girl in a high tech digital world,” tee hee couldn’t resist. That aside I think it is more of reflection of my fanfiction addition.  Also I love supporting indie writers and the fact I can book hoard without judgement is a really huge plus on for me.
audio book or in hand: So the last few books I’ve read that weren’t fanfiction were audio books.  I have really bad eye sight from binge reading book back to back and not to mention my fanfic addiction (I read at night with my phone don’t tell my optometrist!)  Plus you have not live untiled listen a heroine in dystopian/post apocalyptic society fighting the patriarchy while running. It’s very empowering!
paperback or hardcover: I’m hardcover all the way.  I always splurged the extra moolah when it comes buying hardcover just because they are more sturdy in my opinion.  I have definitely shed a few when one of my paperback cover got bent or torn off.  On the flip side I do appreciate aesthetic of the dog eared, spinal creases on the spine, (basically) a well loved books, but I’m far too anal to get it that way myself.
adult or young adult: Young adult used to be my go-to, but lately I have been leaning towards new adult and adult just because I’m at that same age as the protagonist and the fact I’m living a nonexistent college/social life.  So it is fun to read/live vicariously through them.
series or standalone: Series all the way especially when each book in the series centers on different characters/parings.  That’s probably cheating, but there’s something about see old ships popping up when you least expect it, to know you still carry a torch for them.
dog ears or bookmarks: *Smiles* Oh definitely bookmarks since ebooks make it super easy to reread your favorite parts.  Bookmarks again for hardcopies just because.
breaking the spine or barely opening the book:  Barely opening the book! I’m all for preserving the condition of the book for future re-reads.
borrow or buy:  Borrowing all the way! I’m a big supporter of the public library system.  They have come a long way with loaning ebooks and audiobooks, you should check them out!
bookstore or online: Even though I probably do frequent the online format more, I still prefer bookstores for that whimsical and nostalgic feel.  I love when they have a shelf or table devoted to a series or genre. Sometimes I like to mess fix the displays with recommendations of my own.
fiction or nonfiction: Fiction all the way, though I will pick up auto/biography if I need direction/purpose for my life.
fantasy world or real life issues: I’m a fantasy type of girl, and I would much rather be reading about ways to bring down the oppressive patriarchy.  Though that is  what’s really great about fantasy, this particular genre of  writers usually have a way of blending real life issues into their narrative.
kindle, ipad or other: OTHER! I own a nook, but I mostly do my reading via my phone (it’s a Galaxy ;)
monster read or short and sweet: Monster read, but don’t you mean light reading ;)
starry eyed romance or full of action: Full of action to be sure.  I’m a firm believer of romance taking a backseat and not be the only thing driving the plot.  Plus those romantic moments become more meaningful and urgent, too much of it makes it cheesy and becomes desensitizing.
read the review or decide yourself: For me it sort of depends.  For authors I haven’t read before I like to read reviews to see what I’m getting myself into.  But for authors that have gain my loyalty I usually forgo reading reviews perchance they taint the book for me.
zombies or unicorns:  UNICORNS!!!
AND I tag: chaos-reading  eiregirl05  forgottencartoons  thejeanetterun and acornburglar you guys ROCK!

forgottencartoons replied to your post: “(1) Hey, I noticed today a painting in my history of art textbook...”:
If I'm right about this being the Ducal Palace, this ceiling was painted for a wedding, and the man depicted in the head covering was a friend of the bride's family, and completely wealthy.
I didn’t go too in-depth, but there’s actually a lot of recent academic hullabaloo going on about the whole Bridal Chamber.

So I'm having a conversation with a friend from one of my German classes and I was wondering, what is the best way to say "You should listen to it" ('it' being a song)? Would it be "Du solltest es zu hören" or is there another way? Sometimes I get really confused when it comes to modals.
I would say “Du sollst es zuhören.” I can’t think of any other way to say that particular phrase. You could also say “Ich schlage es vor” to say that you recommend it, but otherwise I would just stick with that ^^

So fun story for people who have a phobia of animals that terrified them in childhood. My sister was stung by a bee when she was 6 and now has a CRIPPLING phobia. She literally will run screaming back into the house if a bumblebee is on the flowers beside the porch. Well I took her to see Jupiter Ascending and there is a scene where Sean Bean lives in a GIANT BEEHIVE and there were so many bees on the screen that my sister had to get up and wait outside until I texted her it was safe to return.
I literally cried when I saw Black Swan because of that scene where Natalie Portman turns into a swan it was awful.
