sorry last post before i shut up about lucanis for now i promise. iulia has objective reasons to go to treviso first over minrathous; treviso has no formal military, only the crows, and are also besieged by the antaam. minrathous has more of a fighting chance, with an actual military and a stronger mage presence. she has to believe that would be enough.

but how could she put anything else over the place she's come to call home? and on the other hand, how could she abandon the city of someone she's grown to care for, when she knows they would have no chance otherwise? she's always prided herself on being ruthless when it comes to the job. but for the first time, her feelings are getting in the way of her decisions, and she's not used to it.
