nobody asked me to but expanding on the secret fintan dex parallels because I CAN!! its about the desire to make something unforgettable. its about trying to make your way in a society that hates you and hating it back so so much. and wanting it to change but at the same time desperately just wanting to be a part of it and gain its respect. to prove the powerful wrong but to prove it wrong SO THAT you might be allowed inside their world. its about doing something just because you can. its about the horrific consequences of that action. fintan lost friends to everblaze even the ones (bronte..) that survived. we KNOW that haunts him. and sophie was dex's first friend and he put her through torture (im never shutting up about the ability restrictor <3). does THAT still haunt him?? i think so ! its about getting mad and how easy it is. its about coming back from the dead and what it does to you. they cried over your grave and you celebrated on top of mine isn't that another injustice. do you think they would have cried more if you had a different family. dex has been burned before but he keeps coming back to fight again. tinker is afraid of fire but i dont know if dex is. he should get to let that out somewhere. do you guys get it.
