Hoy 18 de Diciembre de 2017, cuando por la mañana como a las 8 desperté, leí sobre una noticia que ha dejado un nudo en mi garganta todo el día, todas las páginas tanto de kpop como de dramas, anime, música y espectaculos que sigo en diversos medios sociales anunciaban el lamentable deceso de un cantante que he admirado durante años. 

Kim JongHyun, nos dejo a los 27 años. 

El tomo la decisión de alejarse, porque ya no podía más. 

Creo que hablo por muchos SHAWOL de pequeños lugares como mi ciudad, que era un sueño el pensar en tener el suficiente recurso para viajar a verlos. A los cinco. Eso ya no podrá ser, el solo hecho de esto, me rompe el corazón. Nunca podre escucharte en vivo cachorro.

Me siento muy triste, era una voz espectacular la que hemos perdido. Pero no te olvidaremos, para nosotros siempre estarás brillando. Siempre brillando. 

Te admiraba tanto, lamento que hayas tenido que irte tan pronto. Lamento que hayas sufrido. Lamento tanto todo lo que pasaste. Ahora tu voz de ángel, cantará en otro escenario. 

Y pensando en esto, quiero decirles a los que lean este mensaje:

En primer lugar no están solos, no lo piensen siquiera. Nunca. Siempre hay una forma adecuada de arreglarlo todo, pidan ayuda, no se queden callados, griten, canten, escriban, dibujen, expresense, se que es difícil, ser “feliz” es difícil, intentarlo lo es, pero no es imposible. No se rindan.

En segundo lugar, SIEMPRE DIGAN LO QUE SIENTEN. No se olviden de decirle a sus padres que los aman, a sus hermanos, a su novio, esposo, a sus hijos. A si mismos, SOBRE TODO A SI MISMOS. No sabes cuando ya no podrás hacerlo más. 

Siempre hay alguien que se preocupa por ti.

I can’t believe it...I just can’t. This is really for real? But you were so young. Were... JongHyun, may you rest in peace. You were, are, and forever will be a truly great artist. I will forever be a ShaWol. Your music is amazing and comforts me in ways that I’m sure you understood, but didn’t receive.

I guess this is hitting me harder than I thought it would because we’re practically the same age. We’re from the same generation. I remember when I first watched SHINee’s debut MV and I was instantly IN LOVE. Like, “music can be like this?” I’ve followed SHINee since then and when JongHyun came out with his solo album, I listened to that album for months...I listen to it still now. And his last album was noticeably less bright than the first one but still perfection. I think as I also grew older and got closer to the age he was when his music came out, I came to understand more what his songs meant to him, to other people, and to me. I related more to you than I realized before. I’m definitely not at the breaking point you were, but I understand a little. Mental illness is real. Money and fame is not everything. So, I will try to live my life a little more freely, even if a little at a time.

6 Years With SHINee

Congratulations to my SHINee boys for their 6th year anniversary since debut!!!! Wow I really can't believe it has been SIX years already. Wow. That's just wow. I found SHINee back in their 4th year, a few months after their 3rd anniversary. So I've been around for about half the time SHINee has been around and that's pretty awesome to me. SHINee was the first kpop band I liked. I'd heard about bands like Super Junior and Big Bang but it wasn't until I discovered SHINee that I got into the kpop scene. And let me just say, finding SHINee and kpop was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. SHINee has brought me so much happiness and feels I never thought possible. Their amazing singing and dancing just drew me in from the moment I set my eyes on them. Since then, every day I just fall more in love with them. It really is indescribable the way I feel about SHINee. Those five boys, they are such a huge part of my life and I cannot imagine how my life would be without them. It's true I don't talk about them or fangirl about them as much as I used to. But that doesn't change anything. Because in my heart, in my mind they still have such a big presence. I'm just so thankful for SHINee. I'm so glad they exist. They have given me enormous amounts of happiness over the last few years. SHINee is such an amazing group. Their music and their personalities make my day brighter. I am so proud of everything they have done and achieved. They have grown so much. SHINee, I love you so much. You will never know just how much I love you. But that's alright. As long as I can love you forever, I'll be happy. SHINee... fighting! 사랑해요♥
