It's stupid, but I have bought a...significant amount of Beanie Babies this year. Mostly, as a result of the flood to my parents' house and the subsequent clean-up.

Like, we easily lost a hundred of the little bastards in the flood. And there were four more totes in my parents' storage unit purge that we ended up splitting and sharing with people. My coworkers got some. My friends got some. Hell, even my minimalist sister still took some. Even with all of that, I thought of what we lost, and I still found a need to pick up a couple more.
