what she means: fleur delacour deserved better than to be treated like some vapid fool of a girl by 90% of the family she married into just bc she was more attractive than all of them put together and they couldn’t handle the insecurity they felt at the thought of that, and if it wasn’t for her husband being a wonderful human being who took her seriously from day one and tried to help her with her english and accent (both of which she felt insecure about) so she could be taken seriously by other people as well as respecting her for the strong and persevering woman that she was, thus falling for her and asking her to marry him, then i would have reached into the book and slapped ginny weasley every time she called fleur “phlegm” (or convinced harry to do so) before going directly to jk rowling’s home and slapping her too
