underrated part of hhvcd is how both main villains have religious allusions in their names (devil & heretic) and yet, unlike approximately every other way of drawing symbolic or thematic parallels between the two, this one goes absolutely nowhere.

#cd comes from an old nickname sol had from what i recall and i think heretic was just a villainous title applied to haricot #for the sake of alliteration. and then haricot itself comes from lina beana of course #i mean i'm the person in this friend group with the most experience with christianity i think. perhaps i could do something #but i won't!#tis i #admittedly unspecific dialogue #the only real observation you can make about this matter is that both religious titles have negative connotations which is because #they're fucking villains <3 #any situations in which merlin auernheimer actual mennonite gets a chance to comment on this matter in-universe #would unfortunately be impossible for a myriad of reasons. but it's fun to think about if you're me
