I gave my Whitewave Sim Page (original info page here) a proper makeover; I've changed the theme to a one that has some filtering options, and I've updated all of the portraits!

It's still a bit of a work-in-progress, since I'm thinking about expanding the info text and maybe add more filters. Currently the sim infos only include the necessary stuff: age, personality, (primary) aspiration, spouses and children. Also, I tried to edit the theme colors and item placement more to my liking so if anything looks out of place or hard to read, please let me know!

Filters

Main Family Line - Limestones and Byways are the biggest families with most sims and generations in this hood, which is why I gave them both their own filters. Sims belonging to these families live on several different lots.

Household - A fairly obvious filter option. Combined with Main Family Line you can see who of the big families live where!

Generation - Now, the Generation filter stands for neighborhood generation, not individual family/household generation. There are only two sims in GEN 1, and those are the two neighborhood founder sims of the Limestones, meaning the neighborhood generations go hand-in-hand with the Limestones generations. The other main family line, the Byways, only starts at gen 2 because its starter sims only came to be around 2nd gen of the Limestones (and therefore the neighborhood itself).

Portrait colors

Before this, I used portrait background colors to represent generations. With the generation filter it's unnecessary, however, so I changed the background color meanings. The goal is to have two colors represent whether the sim is alive or dead, but there are some exceptions.

Dark Grey stands for sims who have moved on from this neighborhood.

Blue and Green have a meaning that acts more as a reminder for myself than anything else. My goal is to fill the entire sim page with adult pictures of the sims, meaning that even elder sims and dead sims will have adult versions of themselves in the portraits.

Blue means the sim is an adult or elder, and has had their portrait taken as an adult - If the info says the sim is dead, but the picture is blue, it means I haven't updated the picture yet.

Green means the picture of the sim was taken when the sim is a teen or a young adult. Now since my goal is to have all pictures taken when the sims are adults, the green acts as a reminder for me to update the picture later once the sim is an adult. If the info says the sim is an adult and the picture is green, it means I haven't updated it yet.

Orange pictures with the Family aspiration symbol means the sim is a baby, a toddler or a child. I'm not going to update the pictures for the early childhood stages because the kids grow up so fast. I will update their picture to green once the sim is a teen or a young adult.

Basically, if it the portrait is dark gray, it means the sim is dead, and if it's colorful, it means the sim is alive. The sim's age in the info text is always the way to tell the sim's current age, however.

Other tidbits

I wasn't sure whether to include spouses in the main family line filters, or only the descendants. However I decided to include spouses as well!

I've tried to include married sims' original surnames in brackets. However, there are some game generated townies whose original (often Finnish) surnames I just don't remember. These sims have question marks in brackets after their new names.

There is no separate household for college, so the sims currently in college will be found under the filter of the household where they lived before going to college.
