Xiao Xingchen hearing said story and that all Xue Yang wants are sweets, and giving both him and A-Qing candy every day. Xue Yang casually helping Xiao Xingchen pick out nice vegetables at the market. Song Lan’s death. Xiao Xingchen’s reaction upon learning the truth being to kill himself. Xue Yang shouting desperately over his lifeless body, but his soul has dispersed beyond saving. A-Qing running away, but not far enough. A-Qing realizing that no matter what, she’s going to die, and using her final moments with a tongue to spew the most heinous curses she knows.
